“I travel a lot for work and don’t always have a lot of notice of when I will be leaving…..I always call on Ashton to help me with my kitty. She is honest, a sweetheart, reliable, and my cat loves her. Thanks Ashton!”

“Leaving my fur family behind while traveling causes great anxiety for me... hoping that they're properly being cared for while away. Ashley was super friendly, extremely communicative and sent the best pictures every day. As long as she's around, I will continue to hire her every time I need to leave town. Thank you Ashley!!”

“Shaira is very reliable and good with my dog. She gives great reports and photos through Rover. My dog looks happy in every photo. I highly recommend Shaira and will rebook with her when the need arises.”

“Shawnia was amazing! Always gave great photo updates and even walked up our snowy driveway to make sure our cats were taken care of when we got TONS of snow while out of town. 5/5 would recommend!”

About: I have watched cats and dogs since I was a child for family, friends and neighbors. I enjoy watching their personalities when they are excited I am currently doing an online course and have plenty of time to play with your animal babies. I can spend time with your babies as needed I would come in a take them for walks feed and play with them if needed. Give them lots of of love and treats when needed

About: I have been taking care of & rescuing animals my whole life from cats dogs to birds gerbils and mice. I grew up on a country drive surrounded by friends and family who all had animals. I would bring my next door neighbor’s cat who was usually outdoors, back home with me just to make sure she was safe while he was away. On our drive we had a golden lab, a ridgeback, Pomeranians & chihuahuas- many personalities and sizes. I help TNR (trap neuter release) in my city to help stray cats & have learned so much about behavior, handling & caring for even “feral” animals. I’ve had friends text me last minute in regards to baby sitting a new puppy they got or simply checking in on their senior dog because they know this is never a burden for me but something I love to do! There are 3 dogs & 4 cats at our home who always have enrichment surrounding them, get plenty of play time & supervised outdoor enrichment (I don’t ever let my cats outside to roam). They get professionally groomed, teeth cleaned, nails trimmed, we have lavender pet diffusers, salmon oil, meal toppers etc. our pets comfort & care is not taken lighting in my home & it certainly will never be taken lightly in yours! In addition to my care for animals, I have handled injured wild birds & either rehabilitated them or seeked a professional rehab to get them care. I rescued a baby squirrel found in the road & got it rehabbed, I’ve rehomed 3 litter of kittens & 2 momma cats that were strays. Animals have always been my top priority & concern, you will never have to question if yours is in loving hands. As of right now I am currently not doing any other work & am hoping to turn this into a full time job with families who get to know me & want me to be there forever sitter! I will have an open schedule until further notice making me an extremely flexible option for owners seeking care. When it comes to me you will constantly get updates, communication & pictures unless you tell me otherwise! If I’m unsure of something I will always ask rather than just doing. I am one the loves to engage, give company & keep them in supervision. You're not gonna get a sitter who just sits on their phone ignoring your pet the whole time but rather someone who wants to get to know your pet! I love playing, entertaining, cuddling & don’t mind getting a little dirty for sake of establishing & earning a trusted relationship with the animals I care for! I love lists or details about specific needs or schedules so I can give the upmost care & comfort to the pets and owners.
“Lillian has been our drop-in sitter for a week and a half now and I could not be happier. Her attentiveness, compassion and communication is top notch, to say the least. I'm so glad I found her on here.”

About: As a pet owner (cats, dogs and hamsters), I am offering the same care I looked for when I had pet sitting needs—dependability and love for pets. I work full time remotely so I’m flexible during the week. I do travel with my job and many of my weekends are full. I will keep my schedule updated so times are known when I can help. I am willing to watch your dog or cat at your house. I currently have a friendly cat but he doesn’t understand not all dogs love him. If I watch your dog at my house, the dog would need to meet my cat first to make sure they are ok. I do have a fenced in yard.
“Camryn responded immediately and came out to meet my doggies beforehand. The dogs like her! She came out with her little one, but the dogs weren't quite sure about the baby carrier with the fan on it :). They were really curious though. Camryn took good care of my fur-babies, fed them and made sure they went potty before she left. I will contact her again.”

“Another amazing visit from Kelli! She treats our boys with love and compassion! Kelli is always ready with a smile even with short notice! Highly recommmend!”

About: Hello! I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Illinois. I am home in MI with my parents for the summer, so I’d love to care for your pet(s) while you’re away. I have experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments and energy levels. I am also Fear Free certified, so I pride myself on providing comfortable visits. I will be in the Battle Creek area from June through August. Come August, I will be in the Champaign, IL area. My daily/weekly schedule is fairly open as I do not have a current job. My pets are allowed on furniture. However, I will respect whatever rules you have in place with your pet. I tend to do an outside break every 2-4 hours depending on weather, but in the summer most days are spent outside. I feed my dog on a 2 meal schedule, but can accommodate the pet(s) normal meal routines.

“It was such a relief knowing that our dog had someone checking in on her while we were out of town. Kelsey responses quickly to our request for drop in visitors, suggested a meet and greet with our chihuahua that same night and made an effort to bond with our dog. She sent multiple photos of her visits with Cappy that really made us feel like we chose the right person! Would definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“Rex was great with our dog Vinny this past weekend. We felt at ease leaving town for a day trip because of how reliable he is. We loved the updates he gave on Vinny for each drop in and look forward to booking him again in the future!”

“Katie did drop in visits for for my kitty, Barts, and I couldn’t be happier! She stopped in twice a day (and just once on one day too) for feedings, litter checks and playtime and pets. Barts is usually not too sure about new people, but he took to Katie quickly; he even allowed her to apply medication to his lip. She sent pictures of Barts on each visit along with how he was eating and doing overall. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Katie again in the future. Thank you!! ☺️”

About: Has to be able to get along with other dogs if being brought to my home. It’s fine if dogs or cats need special care I am going to give them my all and make sure they enjoy there time so they come back, all animals are welcome and loved with me. I spend all of my time devoted to taking care of animals I am a stay at home mom so they will always have my attention and I am always avalible Willing to do whatever is needed to take care of the pet and make the pet happy in both your home and my home, anything they need
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, my dogs are my babies and I would treat yours the same. Fully fenced in yard to play fetch in and run around I’m currently a stay at home dog dad so they will never be left alone, always ready to take outside and let play with toys. I let my dogs out every couple of hours, always have food available for them and take them outside to play fetch whenever the weather permits

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my entire life and I house-sit/dog-sit as a part-time job, as well as work at two stables. I grew up with the responsibility of taking care of my own pets, so I enjoy taking care of other people’s animals! Now that my semester is over, my schedule is very open- almost everyday, except Fridays, I have time (unless I have prior plans, and I will try to update my schedule as accurately as possible). I’ll be able to feed, let your dogs out, walk them/play with them, spend time with your cats, etc.! I’d like to know a day in advance, but I could possibly accept a same day booking. I take care of every animal like they’re my own; I’ve taken many dogs off the streets to find their owners. This is no different, your animal will be treated with respect and love while you’re away! I won’t be taking care of animals at my house (due to my own pets), but I would possibly be up for overnight house-sitting once I’ve built a trusting relationship with a client and their animals. But for now I will only be doing drop-in visits and walking.
About: I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember! I have worked with dogs of all different sizes and breeds at a doggy day care, this includes having experience with puppies that needed training and senior dogs! I am currently working at a doggy daycare and am available on any weekday after 2 p.m. and any weekends at any time. My schedule is always flexible! I will always make sure your pet is cared for and loved! I will follow any direction/instructions you give me to ensure the safety of your furry best friend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 567 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Climax. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Climax stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Climax. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
