“Becky, fulfilled all the requests, took care of the cats statused us when we needed to be told something to and proactively communicated any delays. Definitely recommend.”
“Claire was fantastic! She communicated thoroughly, she was prompt with her drop in visits. She understood the special care needed for our cats and she asked questions to ensure she was going to give the proper care.”

“Kaleigh really stepped up when the previous sitter canceled without even so much as a message. She obviously has a history of working with dogs. She was informative and easy to contact. I would definitely recommend and will keep her at the top of my list next time I need a sitter.”

“Highly recommend Hailey! Our boys looked so happy while we were away for a whole week! Our boys can be very energetic and sometimes hard to deal with, but she embraced their personalities and always had positive feedback! She gave thorough updates every visit and even alerted us to a minor injury that our Remington sustained. She kept us updated every step of the way until we got home!”

About: I have experience in puppy obedience training and leash training, oral medication administration, experience handling dogs of all ages and sizes, especially with caring for stubborn dogs. Also I am very familiar with taking care of pups with anxiety or different fears. I am a full time student at Boston University, but have long breaks throughout my day where I could care for nearby pets in need of attention or walks, meaning lunchtime check ins or walks work particularly well with my schedule. I am happy to follow any preferences you have for pet care, including crating your dog (I have extensive experience crate training an unruly giant schnauzer puppy), leash preferences, and feeding schedules. I typically bring water bowls and extra water for my dogs on walks to keep them feeling their best and treats to keep them engaged (treat type depending on what your dog typically eats).

About: I love dogs and have had two Bernese mountain dogs in my life who I provide with patient, attentive, loving care focused on comfort, exercise, safety and happiness 😊 I am currently home for the summer from college and am free during the week to help you with your pups. I am on the Womens basketball team at my college and do have workouts early in the mornings and occasionally in the afternoon. I take my dog for walks often and also pet sit my neighbor dogs when their owner is at work. They have a husky and a Havanese puppy. I love to play with them outside as well as take them for walks around the neighborhood. I also let them rest and chill if they need after we have been outside for a while.
About: As a nurse new to semiretirement, I am looking for some new furry friends to spend some time with. As a former dog momma to a golden retriever mix and a cockapoo, I have over 25 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages and phases of life. I am comfortable with puppies and senior dogs who may need medication or a little extra attention. I also have a 1 year old golden doodle grand puppy that I help take care of when needed. I would love the opportunity to get to know your furry family member. For me, dogs bring a unique kind of joy you just can’t find anywhere else. I am semiretired and have a lot of flexibility with my current schedule. I am available most days of the week between 9am and 3pm. When coming to see your pet or walk them, please let me know of any specific or special requests. I will follow your routine as instructed.
“Ashlyn was great. She came 4x a week for 5-6 weeks when I was out of state. She stayed and played with my cat for a bit and didn't just feed, clean, and run. I will 100% use her again.”

“Vivian has been fantastic! I got a puppy and need alot of help with my little girl when I am at work, and she has been wonderful! Checking in on her, helping with potty training. She really does love my Olive too! I am so happy I've found her, and will continue to use her to check on my puppy when I work. It gives me a great piece of mind knowing I have her!”

“Rachel took great care of all 4 of my cats! She spent time with them and gave Jake his meds, no problem. She's got a great attitude and attention to detail. I'd definitely use her again.”

“Mallory has visited with our puppy on three separate occasions since we first got him. She is wonderful! It's great to know he is in such good hands when we aren't able to be home.”

About: I’ve only seriously taken care of dogs on my own for the past 6 years. My neighbor has hired me many, many times over the many years we have known each other to take care of her pets, but on my own she has hired me for just about the last 6 years. I’ve taken care of 2 dogs at once and have given oral meds to dogs before. I work part time, but i have plenty of time to take care of your pets! Saturday’s are my only unavailable day since I work all day. I can do just about anything you need for either dogs or cats! Once you show me what i to do for your pet, I’ll be able to help them be as comfortable and happy as possible!
“Chelsea was amazing! She treated our senior dog with such love. She was on time and she shared great pics of Tucker enjoying Chelsea’s visit. She is trustworthy and I hope to use her services again in the future. Thank you, Chelsea, for looking after our little man while we couldn’t. 💛”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Claridge
Natalie took the best care of Daisy. She was easy to communicate with and very reliable. She was able to accommodate a last minute change & sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the week. She also offered and cleaned up all the dog fur so we didn’t have to come home to a mess. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter to care for our pup while we were on vacation.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
