About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! I’ve even read books like Caesar’s Way in order to better understand my own pets and help them. I’ve even been known to be a bit of a perfectionist although that was in my earlier years now I can gladly say am a seasoned sitter! Caring for your family member fits into my routine because at the moment I am a dog Mom of one dachshund with a good partner that loves her as much as I do! I also do volunteer work, which is extremely flexible. Aside from that a lot of what I do is online, which works out great when pet care is involved I will care for your family member by noting all of their needs as well as asking any questions I have about the environment if it was not already covered in our introduction. I like to take notes!

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years and when people bring their dog they can feel at ease knowing their dog will receive the best loving care possible.I have always been a dog owner and have cared for multiple breed types.Dogs feel safe at my house. I have plenty of time to walk and play with your dogs. I am available full-time Friday Saturday and Sunday and during the week I can walk your dog.If you want to come up to the mountains and go skiing I am available to watch your dog while you are out on the mountain.If you have more that one pet I can accommodate them. I have a 4 bedroom house and currently I have a small dog named Pepper that enjoys other dogs company. I don't have a fenced-in yard but if you board your dog with me I am very responsible and your dog will stay on the leash when I take the dog for a walk. My house backs up to the power lines and of the woods. There is plenty of places to walk the dog without having to get in a car.When your dog is in my care it's all about your dog. I am person that dogs are drawn to and they love me and they know I'm a dog person.

About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I have a long weekend every week to give your pup the love and attention they deserve! I hope to find some canine friends to hike with me on the weekends. About: I love animals and started dog care for a family in high school. I’m a runner so I ran with the large dogs and learned to adjust walks to the dogs. I don’t have a dog of my own so i love caring for other people’s dogs. I’m a student at Chico State, but I’m available to dog walk on Thursday’s and weekends. I’m available for house sitting every day of the week :) Any dog I am sitting will enjoy either a leisurely stroll or a run depending on the dog. About: I love my dogs , and will love yours just the same! My home is small and cozy, with near access of hundreds of acres of woods with amazing hiking trails! A number of dog friendly beaches are close by for summer swimming as well. I prefer pups that are ok off leash for romps in the woods, as I take my dogs there for exercise daily. Why I love dog sitting From as long as I can remember as a child I have always loved dogs...well all animals really, but dogs are special to me. I grew up on a small farm and had lots of dogs, mostly Australian Shepherd, German Shepherds and Saint Bernards. I spent most of my free time with them as a child. My parents got me into 4H at a young age and I began training and showing my Aussies. I can't ever remember a time in my life where I didn't have a dog! I moved to California 13 years ago, and it was then that I was lucky enough to meet Kai, the love of my life, a black tri female rescue Aussie. She was the greatest soul I have ever met. At age 13 she passed away from Lymphoma. She was so loved and lived a blessed life. Now I am blessed with two amazing pups that I love to the moon and back...I will always be a dog lover! About my yard I do not have a fenced in yard. My home is located in the Tahoe Donner neighborhood, and backs up to hundreds of acres of forest. That is where we do all of our adventuring. I am self-employed, and my work days typically start at 3. That gives ample time for morning adventures! Our current daily routine typically goes as follows - 7:30am wake up, on-leash bathroom time, breakfast, post breakfast snooze, 10am adventure, noon treats and chill, 3pm bathroom break, 7:30pm dinner, after dinner chill, bathroom break, 9:30 bed time! Most pups that stay with us fit very well into that routine. I am very hands-on and attentive to my fuzzy friends. My dogs are never out of my sight. They have full range of the house (couch, bed, chairs, laps!).

About: I've had a dog since I was born and truly believe they are better than people. I've had a cockapoo, a couple of king charles cavaliers, a cocker spaniel, a doberman, and my current terrier mix I rescued, Paisley. I take care of dogs as if they are my own, and there's nothing I love more than coming home to my own pup. I'll send you photos and update texts while you're gone so you know your pup is doing great! Your dog will enjoy outdoor adventures, hikes, and couch time with plenty of tummy scratches. In all honesty, I'm offering my services just because I love dogs so much, and being an owner myself, know all too well the nervousness that comes with leaving your "child" behind when you go out of town. I promise I will bring that sense of ease to you that I too look for when I have to leave my dog behind. About: I've fostered, sat, and rescued everything from puppies to purebreds. Although I don't currently have any pets, I'm thrilled to take care of yours! I'll treat them like my own. I'm free for weekends, weekdays, short notice, and holidays. If I have to go to work I will try to not leave them alone for more than 6 hours. About: Have taken care of friends' and neighbors' pets through most of my childhood, and continue to dogsit for friends during vacations, weddings, or other needs. I love spending time in the woods, so can take your pet on outdoor adventures, hiking, biking, skiing, or snowshoeing. Pet care is something I do in my free time, outside of working as an outdoor educator or substitute teaching. I plan to spend most of the Fall, Winter, and Spring in Truckee, so weekends or weekdays are all on the table. I keep a watchful eye over pets in my home, and allow them safety within and without the house. I live near downtown Truckee, so time outside is spent on the leash. While visiting your dog for weekly walks, I will defer to your defined house rules when it comes to greeting and socializing with your dog. I will be sure to keep any preferred doors closed, gates up, and toys away. I will reinforce rules like staying off of furniture, etc. I will always be sure to refill water bowls as needed and will leave your home tidy and clean. About: I have been caring for animals since I was 11 years old; including family, friends, neighbors and referrals. I grew up in a family that always had pets and have lived with others with pets as well. I am very comfortable and knowledgeable of animals of many ages and types. I have assisted with puppy training and working on commands and discipline and also cared for senior dogs who need extra attention and assistance. I am currently attending nursing school ~3-4 days/week and have availability in the evenings, weekends and some days to assist with pet care needs. My schedule is flexible outside of clinical hours and am excited to spend time with your animals and assist with your needs. I am available for short check-ins, walks, overnights, and weekends you are away. My ideal setting for pet care would be at a client's home due to already having one at home. About: Been a proud owner of goats, cats, chickens, reptiles and dogs. I've had experience in the veterinary field, worked with and cared for livestock and house pets. I am currently working full time as a CNA, my schedule is kinda wacky. I work PM shifts from 2:30pm-10:30pm, on a four on and two off rotation. In my own home I have reptiles and three cats and one older dog around. If your pet is staying with me or I’m keeping them company in your own home, I always am engaging with the pet. Any opportunity to play and have some fun, we’re doing it! If they’re more laid back and want to snooze next to me, I will relax with them.

About: Dog walks, runs, hikes, parks, grooming, play time, and chill time. A lot of TLC of course too! Dietary needs vary by breed and by individual.
