“We left our beloved Poodle and Airedale plus another Poodle we were babysitting while we were at a destination wedding in Tahoe. This was a difficult decision for us as our dogs have never ever been left with someone else. We couldn't have been more happy. Beautiful home, Beautiful yard and loving care. My dogs, while confused, were instantly at ease. Kathy sent pictures and updates though out the dogs stay. It was easy on us and easy on the dogs. I would recommend Kathy in a second and if I have the chance to go to tahoe again, I would use her again in a second. The best picture was the two standard poodles sitting with her on her couch one on the left and one on the right. Thanks again Kathy.”

I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

About: As a cattle dog owner, I'd like to think I have a special set of skills for crazy babies. I have always had rescues and fosters in my home. I have been fortunate to work with foster pets from the Caribbean and Mexico as well, each of these often came with health issues. I have experience with pregnant dogs and cats as well! If you are interested in having your pet stay over, know I have a very friendly dog. She has both experienced having guests and foster pets in the house as well. Tolerant and obedient. I have multiple rooms and baby gates for separation and quiet time. In general, I am a very active and outdoorsy person! So i am happy to take the pets out to the trails or the lake! I live on 10 quiet acres with a fenced yard. There is ample space to play outside or be kept safe and warm inside. I work from home 90% of the days so I can provide full time oversight and care. I also work a job where I can take the dogs with me if you approve! I am fortunate to work from home. I have the ability to provide care all day and night for your pet! I walk each morning and evening and have the option to take your pet out for a walk or a play on the property in both fenced and unfenced areas. I have an older dog who is very arthritic so I am used to caring for the elderly animals as well. Pets in my home have their own room if needed. I have plenty of space for crates. I have a large gated deck and live on 10 acres on a quiet road. My own pets walk daily with me along my road which works well for easy elder dog walks as it is shady even in the summer. It also can provide great training ground as there is little traffic. For the high energy babies, we can play fetch or take to the trails nearby. I have always had rescue pitties so I am comfortable with big cuddly babies. I adopted a cattle dog pup who had clinical anxiety which has taught me how to care for highly intelligent, high energy dogs as well. Treats, love, and confidence makes for a happy dog!

About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! So I have full availability overnight, on weekends, and for extended periods between Nevada County and Placer County. I usually stay a week or more with fur babies. I want to clarify during our visit if you need care at the 2-hour, 4-hour, or 6-hour interval beyond the overnight stay of 7 pm to 7 am. Communication is key! I will send daily pictures or updates. About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I am not home for pick ups/drop-offs between 7:15 AM-6:30 PM on those days. However my 3-day weekend gives me plenty of time to give your pup the love and attention they deserve! About: Been a proud owner of goats, cats, chickens, reptiles and dogs. I've had experience in the veterinary field, worked with and cared for livestock and house pets. I am currently working as a veterinary assistant in PV. My schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:30/9:00am to 5pm. If your pet is able to be left home while I work then perfect! Otherwise I am fully available for long weekends. :) In my own home I have reptiles and three cats and one older dog around. If your pet is staying with me or I’m keeping them company in your own home, I always am engaging with the pet. Any opportunity to play and have some fun, we’re doing it! If they’re more laid back and want to snooze next to me, I will relax with them.
