About: People often say I have a way with animals. They always seem drawn to me immediately, even when they are wary of others. I feel honored that animals feel this way about me because I feel the same about them! I have cared for many dogs of all sizes as well as owned cats. I have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand that has many disabled dogs as well as fostered cats/kittens here at home. I am an empty nester and would love to care for your four legged family members while you are away. Although I will never replace you, I can provide love and safety until you return (and probably some treats and adventures too!) I'm currently not working and can dedicate my time to pet/house sitting and care. As you can see from my photo gallery, I love all animals and have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand, fostered kittens at home, and have seen very cool animals in the wild and at animal rescues/sanctuaries around the world. (I always vet them to make sure they are ethical and doing legit work) I have a large fenced yard and indoor space for cats or dogs. We have plenty of shade and are also willing to take pets with us on outings. I live with my husband and son and they also love and respect animals. As far as caring for pets at someone else's home, I can stay at your house or check in as often as needed. I will play with them, feed them, bathe them, take them places (if requested) and give them love. I know they miss their people and its not the same without you, but I do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable.

About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! I’ve even read books like Caesar’s Way in order to better understand my own pets and help them. I’ve even been known to be a bit of a perfectionist although that was in my earlier years now I can gladly say am a seasoned sitter! Please feel free to reach out to me before booking my care and I will answer any and all questions! Caring for your family member fits into my routine because at the moment I am a dog Mom of one dachshund with a good partner that loves her as much as I do! I also do volunteer work, which is extremely flexible. Aside from that a lot of what I do is online, which works out great when pet care is involved I will care for your family member by noting all of their needs as well as asking any questions I have about the environment if it was not already covered in our introduction. I like to take notes!

About: I have 2 Crested Geckos, and have lived with 4 different friends who owned cats. Within the last year I have walked coworkers dogs countless times and have dog-sat for them as well. I have pet-sat for coworkers in their homes from one night, up to one month. I have also volunteered at the Truckee Humane Society for about a year as well. I have flexible but consistent work hours that allow me to create a routine to take care of your pets. I love going for walks with dogs as well as hanging out and giving both dogs and cats the pets they deserve. I care for pets based off of what they need and what they ask of me. I listen to body language to understand what they need. I am content giving pets their space, or giving them all of the pets they want. I also pay extra attention to bathroom cues to limit accidents within the house.

About: Hi! My name is Katie and I’m a big animal lover and have been around dogs and cats my whole life. I’m energetic and love long walks, playing fetch, and giving belly rubs. I have 7+ years of experience caring for pets. I enjoy taking long walks outside, and I’m comfortable walking more than one dog at a time. I have experience with all-sized dogs, ranging in all ages, and from different breeds. I provide photos during my time with your pet and will keep you updated. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you soon 🐾 I'm a teacher and will be at school from 9 am - 3:30 pm. I teach yoga every Tuesday evening as well. I have weekends off. With this schedule, I get all holidays and breaks off as well. While pet sitting, I give attention to each pet I'm caring for. I'm a sucker for doggie cuddles, long walks, fetch, and just taking it easy. I'll make sure your pet gets enough potty breaks and exercise while under my care.

About: Hi! This is Mica & Christian! We are a couple that loves animals and do the sitting together ❤️ We both have experience talking care of our own pets and pet sitting. I had animals living with me since I was 5 years old from rabbits, parlots, dogs to cats ❤️ I am working part-time remotly as a designer without a schedule so I can be available at any time and make it fit in my week schedule 🙌 I will always be aware of any special instructions. I will guarantee that they are well fed, hydrated, clean and not exposed to any dangerous situation or environment.

About: I’ve taken care of pets of every kind since I was a kid. From dogs and cats to birds and turtles. Animals have always been a magical part of my life. Weekly animals are a huge part of my life. From caring for my own, to walking dogs and watching animals while their families are away. We live in a neighborhood that is very close to lots of great trails for hiking. My dog Abby loves making friends as do my kids.

About: I have a unique background with horses, farm animals, and dogs that want to walk all day in the forest. I grew up with cats and dogs my whole life. I have fostered kittens, boarded cats, and stayed with dogs up to 200 pounds. I am available overnight for weekends, nights, and extended periods between Nevada County and Placer County. I usually stay a week or more with fur babies. You can relax knowing I am keeping the utmost care and safety of your animals and home. I want to clarify during our visit if you need care at the 2-hour, 4-hour, or 6-hour interval beyond the overnight stay of 7 pm to 7am. I am currently available most days and nights due to my online graduate program. Communication is key! I will send daily pictures or updates. For best prevention, talking about the details with the owner and ground rules produces the best results. Topics will include where the pet feels most comfortable such a calm spaces or crating procedures. I make sure to go over emergency contacts and preferred clinics. Also, I keep a clean environment that ensures the safety of pets for food handling.

About: I have had dogs all of my life! I volunteered at the humane society as a foster care provider and found homes for many dogs during this time. I worked with a veterinarian for the past ten years and provided care for his dogs. I am very active and can also run with your dog if you have a high energy breed such as a husky. I will care for your dogs as if they were my own and can also groom, massage, administer medications, recommend holistic nutritional changes, and provide any additional services that your furry companion may need. I can bring your pup to obedience classes, vet visits, or grooming appointments! I will also work with dogs that have issues such as socialization issues, manner problems, or anything else we may discuss. I currently work from home, so I am able to watch the furry friends all day. They can have a private space in the home, in the yard, or join the pack. I can customize preferences to include a hike, trail run, short walks, pick-up/drop off at your pets location, light grooming, etc. In my home I have three dogs, and they can be separate or play together if preferred. i have a large fenced yard. There is also a separate studio with a kennel if needed. If visiting a clients home, I will adjust to clients preferences and instructions.

About: My partner and I both grew up with cats and dogs in our households and we love pet sitting! We do not have any animals of our own due to frequent travel and not wanting the long-term commitment at this point in life, but Rover a great opportunity to fill the void of not having animals around. My boyfriend works remotely and I work on a hybrid schedule with the opportunity to come home for lunch on the days I’m in office. We have ample time to tend to pets and we enjoy getting outside for walks to break up our workdays. Having grown up with many pets, I'm comfortable with them being on furniture and having them feel at home in my space. I believe the best way for animals to feel comfortable is by sticking to their normal daily schedule.

About: I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life and grew up with a wide variety of pets. I am currently a ski patroller in Lake Tahoe now and I am part of our mountains search and rescue avalanche dog team. I have been a second handler for numerous of our dogs over the years training them in search and rescue and obedience. I also have grown up fostering dogs from older dogs to pregnant mama dogs with puppies. I have done it all and my passion is just being around animals! I work at the mountain as a ski patroller in the winters and in the summer I work as a bartender at a lake front restaurant in Lake Tahoe. I would love to fill that time with a furry friend to go on adventures or be cozy inside with. I have lived in tahoe year round for 5 years now and I would love to share my time here with a companion! I live in Truckee, CA along Donner Lake. My house is right across the street from a fenced in private access to the lake! So if you have a water dog I’m sure they would have a blast running around our fenced in lake access area. I will take care for your pet as if they were my own giving them lots of cuddles and endless belly rubs.

I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well. I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem. I pride myself on being punctual, organized and reliable, and you can rest assured that your pet(s) and home will receive attentive and loving care. I am happy to take care of any additional tasks that you might need around your home while you're away (checking mail, taking out trash, watering plants/garden, etc. )
