About: People often say I have a way with animals. They always seem drawn to me immediately, even when they are wary of others. I feel honored that animals feel this way about me because I feel the same about them! I have cared for many dogs of all sizes as well as owned cats. I have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand that has many disabled dogs as well as fostered cats/kittens here at home. I am an empty nester and would love to care for your four legged family members while you are away. Although I will never replace you, I can provide love and safety until you return (and probably some treats and adventures too!) I'm currently not working and can dedicate my time to pet/house sitting and care. As you can see from my photo gallery, I love all animals and have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand, fostered kittens at home, and have seen very cool animals in the wild and at animal rescues/sanctuaries around the world. (I always vet them to make sure they are ethical and doing legit work) I have a large fenced yard and indoor space for cats or dogs. We have plenty of shade and are also willing to take pets with us on outings. I live with my husband and son and they also love and respect animals. As far as caring for pets at someone else's home, I can stay at your house or check in as often as needed. I will play with them, feed them, bathe them, take them places (if requested) and give them love. I know they miss their people and its not the same without you, but I do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable.

About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! I’ve even read books like Caesar’s Way in order to better understand my own pets and help them. I’ve even been known to be a bit of a perfectionist although that was in my earlier years now I can gladly say am a seasoned sitter! Please feel free to reach out to me before booking my care and I will answer any and all questions! Caring for your family member fits into my routine because at the moment I am a dog Mom of one dachshund with a good partner that loves her as much as I do! I also do volunteer work, which is extremely flexible. Aside from that a lot of what I do is online, which works out great when pet care is involved I will care for your family member by noting all of their needs as well as asking any questions I have about the environment if it was not already covered in our introduction. I like to take notes!

About: I have 2 Crested Geckos, and have lived with 4 different friends who owned cats. Within the last year I have walked coworkers dogs countless times and have dog-sat for them as well. I have pet-sat for coworkers in their homes from one night, up to one month. I have also volunteered at the Truckee Humane Society for about a year as well. I have flexible but consistent work hours that allow me to create a routine to take care of your pets. I love going for walks with dogs as well as hanging out and giving both dogs and cats the pets they deserve. I care for pets based off of what they need and what they ask of me. I listen to body language to understand what they need. I am content giving pets their space, or giving them all of the pets they want. I also pay extra attention to bathroom cues to limit accidents within the house.

About: I have been caring for animals for the last decade whether it was my own cat (sadly passed last year), my grandma’s dog, and my brother’s puppy. I love animals! I look forward to and appreciate taking breaks to play with furry friends! I would prefer to pet sit at your home as my space is filled with work in progress projects. I have a smaller SUV and can take your dog to the dog park or beach if preferred

About: I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life and grew up with a wide variety of pets. I am currently a ski patroller in Lake Tahoe now and I am part of our mountains search and rescue avalanche dog team. I have been a second handler for numerous of our dogs over the years training them in search and rescue and obedience. I also have grown up fostering dogs from older dogs to pregnant mama dogs with puppies. I have done it all and my passion is just being around animals! I work at the mountain as a ski patroller in the winters and in the summer I work as a bartender at a lake front restaurant in Lake Tahoe. I would love to fill that time with a furry friend to go on adventures or be cozy inside with. I have lived in tahoe year round for 5 years now and I would love to share my time here with a companion! I live in Truckee, CA along Donner Lake. My house is right across the street from a fenced in private access to the lake! So if you have a water dog I’m sure they would have a blast running around our fenced in lake access area. I will take care for your pet as if they were my own giving them lots of cuddles and endless belly rubs.

“Kristina was wonderful and would highly recommend! She was very responsive and communicative. She let me know when she was heading over and provided pictures of Baden looking very happy on his walk. Kristina even accommodated a last minute request to let out another dog we had staying at the house. Would happily hire her again next time I need dog walking services in the Tahoe area.”

“Taryn was wonderful! She was so communicative during our prep for our stay in Tahoe. Our dog Ella had a great time; Taryn took her on two Tahoe adventures while we were out on a boat and sent a bunch of photos. We will definitely contact Taryn the next time we’re in Tahoe for vacation!”

“Katie was great with Lucy on her two visits here. She is responsible and a good communicator and clearly loves dogs. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Jillian house/dog sat our energetic mini Aussie for 2 plus weeks in the fall of 2023 and again in the spring of 2024. Jillian met all our expectations and then some. Malea J.
“Malea has watched my dog Griffin several times, for as short as a day and as long as a few weeks. He absolutely adores her - she’s kind and caring but also knows how to interact with dogs well, including how to give him commands and encourage him to follow through. When he’s with her for a long stretch he never comes back with bad habits, and he’s always well-brushed, healthy, and happy. I know he loves the time they spend together because he’s always head over heels happy to see her. I’d highly recommend her!”

“Emilie loves all animals she is especially good with dogs and cats. She spends almost all her freetime outside, needless to say your dog will love the adventures and places they'll go. She has watched my dog, Shadow, many times. Shadow is a 70lb 1 year old female (big ball of energy) German/husky/lab mix. Shadow listens to Emilie, she is her favorite "auntie". As a Rover user myself, I would highly recommend and trust Emilie to watch/care/walk/play with my pup all the time:)”

“Erica is a responsible, experienced and loving pet sitter and dog walker. She even stayed for two nights to watch my giant, crazy puppy and did a great job at managing that puppy energy all the while keeping my home safe from puppy damage. She also did great with my other dog that can be a bit unpredictable off leash. Both my dogs love her and we highly recommend her services.”
