“Jess and Scott are always our first stop for watching our pup! We have been taking him to them since we got him as a puppy and could not reccomend them enough. Kind people who want nothing more than to make sure your dog is loved and cared for, while still having a lot of fun while doing it. Great people!”

About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and I’d be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time but my day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends are definitely doable as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! If you request that I come to your house I am very reliable, responsible and respectful. I can guarantee a boat load of scritches and belly rubs as well as time for “business”.

“I was in DSM for a short trip and needed a last minute sitter for my dog Louie and was so lucky to find Kevin had availability to take him for a whole day. I didn’t have time to do a meet and greet, I just trusted the reviews he already had and they are all on point. From start to finish Kevin was responsive, respectful and responsible with me and my dog. I would trust him over and over if I lived in DSM. Highly recommended!”

About: I believe that animals were put on this earth to show us how to love! The least we can do is return the favor ❤️ I work from home so I have all the time to show your pet love away from home! When I'm not working I have most evenings and weekends available to check in when they are at home! I have a Fenced in yard and two dogs to keep your pup company! I also have an XXL crate needed if that helps comfort them, so that they have their own space when needed!

“My Venus had an incredible day with two other frenchie pups! Miss Alice is so sweet and took excellent care of my baby girl while we visited Des Moines for the first time! Can't recommend her enough!”

About: I have a wide variety of experience with Sophie struggles including biting dogs, barking, senior dogs in diapers, dogs in heat, dogs that always try to escape, pups that chew everything in sight, young-non-potty-trained pups and more! I am highly active, so my pup and I enjoy getting outside regularly when he’s not prancing in our fenced in yard. I am in school and pick up sub jobs as needed. If your dog requires extra potty breaks I can skip a subbing day but the longest I am away from home is 6 hours. Normally, I am closer to being gone 2-3 hours at a time though. I grew up with more aggressive dogs, so I am very experienced with all kinds of dogs and safety. My dog is an open feed dog, so he is flexible with changes to feeding schedule as needed for doggie visitors. We regularly go on walks and have a trail right behind our house!

About: Growing up on a family farm, I have had the opportunity to care for many different kinds of animals (dogs, horses, cats, chickens, goats, pigs and cows). I have taken care of family and friends dogs for the last 20 years. I have raised 5 puppies and have shown a few of them in local shows. My kids are 10 and 7 and love taking our dogs for walks, hikes and playing with them in our very large back yard. I am home all summer and my school year schedule varies so I have plenty of time to take your pup on walks and play with them. I have a large fenced back yard and 2 pups friendly pups. I have the ability to take your dog to either a paved or dirt trail for walks or runs. My dogs walk 4 to 5 miles a day but I can definitely make the walk shorter if needed. I have the ability to separate the dogs if needed. I can also crate the dogs. Our dogs love to lounge on our couches.

“Laurie was great! She sent photos with updates during the day. She is very flexible and she was able to accommodate my schedule. Izzy had a good time and was worn out from playing with Laurie's two dogs. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

“Dallas was very accommodating and had two very chill cats with which to socialize my pup. He was sufficiently exhausted after all their play! And she was great at sending updates and general communication.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was about 12 years old. I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs. My friends and family have asked me to watch their pets many times as well. I am home during the week so I am almost always available! I work on weekends so I am at home during the week. My child goes to daycare so it is just me and our 3 cats and 1 dog! Water is always available to all the animals. All small choking hazards are picked up. We use baby gates to separate the animals from potentially harmful areas such as the kitchen and bathrooms. We have an unfenced backyard but my Australian Shepard is trained and does not run.

“Shaelea R. LOVES animals! If she sees one in need of care or abandoned, she will take it in. She saw a post of a man living in a car with 11 guinea pigs, needing a home for them, because he couldn't feed them anymore. She went and picked up all 11. She was able to safely rehome a few, she still has the rest, plus a few babies. Shaelea is very patient and caring. She has had a daycare business, in her home, for 9 years.
