About: Hello! I have years of experience with family and friends’ dogs, but mostly at an animal shelter ! I volunteered there for 2 years, walking, feeding, and cleaning up after different sized dogs. :) I now have a 7 year old husky named Khoda (in the picture!) that I rescued from the shelter 2 years ago. All I’ll say is huskies have lots of character, so I’m used to all of it ! Haha. With that said, I know how much energy (some) dogs can have. About: I have always loved dogs and they truly bring so much happiness. I have a 3 year old Toy Poodle who name is Canelo and is very friendly. I do live in an apartment community that is very safe and pet friendly and my front patio is great place for your pup to sun bath and get some fresh air. I work from home Monday- Friday so my flexible schedule allows me to to spend time with your pup giving them attention and lots of cuddles. I've loved and been surrounded by animals my whole life, and have raised and trained three working dogs for my family. I have been riding and caring for horses for 12 years, and have no problem medicating by mouth and performing various other care tasks for them! About: I have cared for animals of all kinds for over 32 years. As a young child, I was drawn to just about any animal you can think of. I am very detailed and will put your pets first. I am recently retired but now work a couple of days a week, but for only 1/2 days. I do have flexibility in my schedule. My dogs have a safe fenced in area but spend most of their time indoors. I walk and/or exercise them at least two times a day. One of my dogs has medical needs that I handle. My donkeys' food is weighed out to avoid obesity. I think it is important that I earn the trust of a new animal and build on that. Exercise and training can be helpful to pets that will be spending time alone. I am a firm believer that each animal is unique and requires an approach that works for them.
