“Brittany did a great job helping my anxious labradoodle feel safe and secure and helping her settle in! Brittany is an excellent communicator and kept me informed as to how my dog was doing and responsive to all my questions and concerns! It’s apparent that she is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and her calm energy is just what my dog needed to get comfortable. Plus she and her husband are just a lovely young couple. I will definitely be booking her for more sits!!”

“So & John took such great care of our Ginger and Ozzy! This experience alone will have me coming back to them for care in the future. They were accommodating with schedule which as a great, they were patient and welcoming when showing me their home and yard, and responded quickly to my messages/questions. I appreciated how receptive they were to our dog’s individual needs, and we loved receiving photos and videos of our pups throughout their stay!”

“Highly recommended — Reliable and attentive! Our dog Luna received excellent care, plenty of exercise, and thoughtful updates throughout the stay. Luna looked happy each and every day we were away. Thanks Melani for your excellent care!”

“Kind and caring. Our dog bolts right inside like it’s her second home (we try to tell her it’s not). She loves Ron’s dog Emma, which seems to really help with having a companion dog there with ours to keep her company while boarding.”

“Aundrea and her family are experienced, patient and helpful. I was out of town for 9 days and she watched my 3 year old dog. This was the longest I’d left him with someone else. I was worried and uncertain about how he’d behave. She was warm; welcoming; provided updates and photos; and was supportive when my dog got anxious.”

“Lyssette kept me updated with pictures and video my whole trip. We used her our first time using rover and she did a wonderful job and my dog was very happy when she got home. We used to take my dog to boarding places but after it made her super sick last time we decided to try out rover and I’m glad we did because it was a very good experience.”

“What an amazing experience my golden retriever had with Hayley and Graham! He was happy, extremely well taken care off, and obviously loved. I will bring my boy here any time. Absolutely amazing experience”

“Mo did an amazing job with Willy! She was super responsive, sent regular photo and video updates, and clearly gave him tons of love. Her Cavapoo Bagel was the perfect playmate. The meet & greet before booking put us at ease, and Willy came home happy and calm. Highly recommend for small dogs!”

“Lorri clearly loves dogs and our two come home happy, clean, and tired (they've gotten great exercise and lots of attention). We're grateful to have a safe and caring place to look after our pets when we're away.”

“Jennifer and Eric and their two sons were amazing with my nine month old pup! I was so grateful to have a safe loving home for my dog to be at while I was out of town. Thank you again so much for treating her like your own!”

“Dottie has watched over our dog Maya a few times now. Maya always comes back tired, which is a good sign of lots of playtime and fun at Dottie’s. Last time she was boarded there she practically tried to jump out so excited to see Dottie!”

“This was our first time using rover and I have to say, Steve will have us coming back! We were overseas so it was nerve wracking to leave our four-legged family members somewhere new, but Steve gave us daily updates and plenty of pictures. He even tracked every walk they went on and sent me those updates as well. I have every confidence our dogs were well cared for while we were gone! So thank you so much!!!”

“Karlee was kind and communicative and took great care of our 1 yr old Golden when we went out of the country for 11 days. She sent a couple photos or videos every day or 2. 🙂 Thanks Karlee!”

About: It’s hard to find someone to trust to watch your fur babies. I’m hoping to give you peace of mind when you are away. I can be flexible to a pet’s needs including exercise, socialization, potty schedule and medication regiments. I can’t think of a time in my life we didn’t have animals. As a child I wanted to be a Veterinarian. I worked at an animal hospital for a few years in my early 20’s. It was a great experience. I live close to a dog park and Forest Park or will take your dog on a run if needed. Also, there is also an emergency vet clinic nearby; just in case. A daily check in can be provided including photos. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby!! I work from home so my pet routine with Lilly and Winston grounds me. Especially for morning and evening feedings and daily walks. As they are getting older our activity has slowed but I’m ready to meet the exercise levels for any pet that I’m sitting. I have a fenced yard with two friendly dogs. I have been working with animals nearly my whole life so adding new animals to our pack is second nature.
“Great communication, provided updates and pictures. Thanks so much for taking good care of my pup for 4 nights when I had a family emergency. He means so much to me and my kids. It was so helpful knowing he was left in good hands. I could tell you walked him a lot when they spelled out w.a.l.k in lieu of saying the word, he gets so excited. Apologies again for the text meant for my buddy…”

“Mochi has separation anxiety and tends to be cautious around new people, so I was worried about leaving her for a couple of days. Despite my worries, Yvonne reassured me that Mochi would be okay, and she wasn’t wrong! Throughout my trip, Yvonne sent updates and pictures that put a smile on my face/my mind at ease. I was happy to hear that Mochi was starting to bond with Yvonne and would even follow her everywhere. I can’t thank Yvonne enough for being patient with Mochi and allowing her the time to acclimate to a new space.”

“Gio and Gracie did great and highly recommend Alex. We were delighted to get daily updates and photos of our doggies, they looked like they were having a blast! We will definitely come again.”

“Elena and her family were very welcoming and easy to work with. She kept me updated on my dogs stay by providing pictures. She is thorough and down to earth. I’ll definitely continue to use her services!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
94% of sitters in Cherry Grove can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cherry Grove home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cherry Grove.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cherry Grove sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
