Thomas has been a godsend with a very busy Aussie pup and my older gal. They're at the door as soon as they hear his car turn the corner and are returned happy and ready for a nap although the puppy would follow him home if given a choice.

About: Hello, I was raised with every pet from dogs to snakes. While I am new using Rover, I have done pet sitting all throughout my adult life. I love all animals and hope to spend time with yours! I have taken care of cats my whole life but have spent the past few years in school for law and showing dogs professionally. This comes with experience in whelping litters, emergency and primary vet care, transport, nutrition, conditioning/exercise, training, cleaning and general care for dogs. I also have fostered for many years in both California and Arizona which comes with experience in temperament evaluation and training, medications, quarantining pets when necessary and working with very young and very old animals. While I have a lot of experience in taking care of pets, I respect that everyone has a right to do it differently, and keep an open mind in how to care for pets. I always follow directions from the owner even if they conflict with how I take care of my own pets as long as it is not directly harming the pet. I am currently on a year long break between undergraduate and law school, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet(s) and drop by as needed. I always prioritize the pet's happiness and wellbeing. While I love interacting with cats, I am also totally understanding if there is a cat that wants space. I also am aware from prior pet sitting experience that sometimes a pet can behave differently when their owners are not home, so I try to take every precaution when it comes to their safety. I am aware of the foods and plants that are harmful as well as what a cat can safely play with. I also know how to properly clean and sanitize messes that a pet can make such as urine, feces and vomit. I have worked with raw pet food so am well versed in how to minimize contamination. I also have strict sanitation procedures from my dog showing days that I always follow between handling different pets. I also always carry with me a basic vet care bag and am able to treat light burns, small cuts and flush out eyes if need be. In the case however that any medical assistance may be necessary, I always check with the owner beforehand with what they want me to do.

When I first started looking for a dog walker I messaged 4 people on the Rover app, we were out of town and delayed a day from coming home. So this was the last minute need help with her dog situation. Sasha was the only person that was available. 2 were unavailable which we understood and one did not get back to us. Sasha was on time, and came in as a new person to our blue nose pitbull, our cameras showed us how kind and caring Sasha was to our dog. She took a moment to let Ryder get to know her instead of rushing out to just get him walked. She talked to him kindly and made him feel comfortable with a new person in his house and getting ready to walk him. They had a great walk. She responded to us right away and even took a little extra time to make sure that he got the walk he needed which we really appreciated. I would definitely pick her again to help us out in the future and i'm very thankful, she was available. Thanks Sasha! This was our first using the Rover app and it is much better easiest and cheaper than the Wag dog walker app. I was much happier with Rover.

About: I am a recent graduate from Colorado State University majoring in Animal Sciences and minoring in Zoology. During my time completing my undergrad I have had many opportunities taking care of dogs and cats for clients up in Northern Colorado. I am very detail oriented and attentive to my care for your fur babies. I also am known to be a great dog walker and have had some experience handling medication for cats and dogs. I am currently looking for work right now but I have a lot of time to be able to care for your animals as you are busy during the day and providing them company! I currently am living in an apartment so I can’t provide boarding services but I do have reliable transportation that’ll allow me to visit homes and check up on your animals during the day!

Maggie was absolutely amazing! If I could give her 6 stars I would. From the moment we met her we could tell how caring she was and how much she loves animals. She was so good with our little chihuahua and was amazing about sending updates with photos and videos. We are so thankful we found Maggie and hope to work with her again in the future. If you are looking for someone to take good care of your fur baby, look no further! Maggie is hands down the best!❤️

About: I am a Veterinary Technician. I graduated from Pima Medical Institute with my Associates in Veterinary Science. Taking care of animals is a big part of my life. I have always loved animals because they have a way of making me happy and they are so pure and adorable. I am an organized, responsible, and reliable person. I will make sure to do everything to keep your pet safe and happy. We will go on walks and have some fun doing different activities. I will keep you updated during each visits or stays and follow any instructions you have. I won’t give you any reason to worry or think of the worst case scenario. I think animals should have the best care just like babies. They are family as well and deserve all the love and care. I am currently working in a Veterinary hospital, where I work Monday through Friday mainly from 9am-6pm. Saturday and Sunday I have all day availability. I like to make sure all animals have enough food and water before the drop in visit is over. I also like to play with them and keep them company. On dog walks I like to make sure they get all their energy out while getting a good exercise. I like to bring my new portable water bottle while on walks so they stay hydrated.

About: I've been caring for friend's and neighbor's pets since I was a teen, and I would love to come give your pets some affection and exercise while you're busy or away! I've lived with dogs with all kinds of personalities, have fostered dogs and cats for PACC, and have experience working with reactive, anxious, and high-needs dogs. I adopted my (almost 3yo) dog as a puppy and have been learning a lot about puppy training too! I practice positive reinforcement training and I'm happy to turn our walks and play time into opportunities to work on your pup's training. I'm available to come play with your dog, take them for walks, and make sure they get lots of loving attention! I currently work as a field botanist and my schedule is variable throughout the year. When I’m in town I can be available most times of day with advance notice. I try to keep my calendar updated a month or two in advance with my availability. I'm happy to follow any requests, rules, or special needs you have for your pet. I find treats to be a great way to befriend most pups- unless you have particular treats for your dog, I'll typically have treats to share! If your dog takes some time to warm up to strangers, or has trouble walking in places where they may interact with other dogs, I am more than happy to work through their needs with you and the pup.

About: Growing up with dogs my whole life, I’ve had countless years of hands-on experience in addition to fostering with local shelters including young puppies, mama dogs with litters, and large-breed dogs. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities, and I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training, maintaining routines, and providing senior care. While I am currently doing in-home sitting due to having a cat of my own, I’m very happy to do long walks or other enrichment outings to make sure dogs get plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation. I take pride in being calm, attentive, and genuinely invested in every pet’s well-being. As a college student wrapping up my degree and currently taking just one class, I’m blessed with a very flexible schedule. I have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends, and have a spacious SUV that comfortably fits crates and dogs of all sizes, so getting to and from visits, walks, dog parks, hikes, or in-home sitting is never an issue. I’m able to plan my day around pets’ routines, whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, or longer visits for extra attention and exercise. I prefer to provide all of my pet care in home so they can stay comfortable in their own familiar environment. I closely follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise through walks, playtime, and enrichment, and I’m happy to do longer walks for higher-energy dogs. I also use Rover myself, so I truly understand the trust it takes to have someone care for your pet and be in your home. I treat every animal with the same respect, attentiveness, and care that I expect for my own cat. Cleanliness, safety, clear communication, and genuine love for each pet are always my top priorities.

About: I've worked the past three years at a local dog grooming salon and pet supply store and am currently volunteering at a cat shelter, and I am very comfortable with pets of all sizes, breeds, and ages. Much of my previous job was spent hands-on with the dogs in the store and getting to know our customers. Additionally, I work in the medical ward of the cat shelter, giving me lots of experience with senior and disabled cats and kittens. I have experience de-escalating situations between dogs and reading dog and cat behavior. I've spent my entire life around animals, from dogs to birds to horses, and I absolutely love all of them! I am currently enrolled in night classes at cosmetology school, but I am available all day Fridays-Sundays. During weekdays, I will be available all morning, giving me plenty of time to care for pets! I have a senior dog of my own and am very patient and positive. I can easily crate most sized dogs if needed and safely lift dogs up to 45 pounds.
