“Taylor was amazing with our puppy Gus! Her adult lab was calm and great with him as well. Taylor sent regular updates & pictures throughout the day. We’ll be going back regularly for doggy daycare!”

“Bryanna took wonderful care of Gilda, my 10 month old English Cocker Spaniel, for two days this week. Bryanna communicated extremely well. She provides secure indoor and outdoor space, and lots of play activities. After the first day, Gilda was extremely eager to return to Bryanna’s care for the second day. And, after the second day, Gilda was exhausted from 2 straight days of play and activities. I will book again with Bryanna, and recommend that you book with her too. Have fun in Punta Gorda, while knowing your precious fur baby is being well cared for by Bryanna.”

“Jennifer was great. Very sweet and gentle girl. First time for our 15 year old dog with a sitter. She kept the pictures and videos coming all day, putting our minds at ease. The location was nice and her home is immaculately clean. We were able to spend a very enjoyable whole day away from our rental.”

“Ana was amazing! We met her a couple days before and she and her dog Lex immediately connected with our pup, and then this morning when we went to drop our pup off, she happily trotted in the house to meet Lex instead of freaking out like she normally does when we leave her! She had a great day, we got a bunch of pictures, and she was clearly very happy when we picked her up. Very glad to have found Ana!”

I’m reliable, responsible, and can’t wait to connect with you and your furry friends! I am flexible and available if it is a right fit. Flexible during Weekdays (accepts more visits). About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and truly love being around animals. From a young age, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to care for their pets while they’re away. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, including puppies and senior dogs. I work from home, which allows me to be very flexible and present throughout the day. Pets in my care are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and potty breaks. I’m able to accommodate regular routines, feedings, and any special needs, and I’m available for daytime care, drop-ins, and overnight stays depending on your pet’s needs. I provide a calm, safe, and structured environment for every pet in my care. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs and always introduce new pets slowly and thoughtfully to ensure everyone is comfortable. I closely supervise interactions, follow each pet’s routine, and can crate your dog if needed. Whether in my home or yours, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and clear communication, and I’m happy to send regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
“Miranda was wonderful to work with! She took great interest in our dog; gave walks, playtime and cuddles. She has a clean safe home with a nice fenced in yard. Provided pictures and was quick to respond to any outreaches and was very accommodating. We would absolutely work with her again when in the area. Highly recommend!”

About: I only take in one pet (and siblings) at a time. I think it's less traumatic for the pets if there are not other animals around when they are separated from their family. I do everything that I can to make the experience fun and loving. I love both cats and dogs for different reasons. I’ve had pets my entire life until recently. Since most of my pets died of old age, I am experienced with geriatric pets and their special needs as well. I follow your instructions on pet-care. I've watched many dogs and cats in different homes with completely different schedules and rules. I am an early bird so if you have dogs, I like to walk early before it gets too hot. But again, if your dog is used to sleeping in, I can work with his schedule. I do this for fun as well as extra income. I only take up to two pets at a time and they must be siblings. I may take in a third depending on circumstances. Just ask! I am mostly home with the pets. I even have my groceries delivered! I go the gym most mornings for about 1.5 hours. I started pet-sitting to fill the void after my last pet died. I’ve been pet and house sitting professionally around the world since 2016. I board dogs or cats in my home in Port Charlotte. I love to travel and am open to pet sitting in your home anywhere in the world, as long as it's somewhere I'm interested in. I am always interested in Eagle Rock/Glassell Park, CA, as that's where my son lives. I am an early riser so I like to walk the dogs as the sun is rising and then again at dusk. I have a large fenced-in yard so the dogs have a lot of freedom, but I don't leave them alone outside. I am working on house projects so I am almost always around. I am accepting up to two sibling dogs/cats for boarding in my home. I prefer crate-trained dogs as they feel more secure in their crates and it's less traumatic for them to be left at a stranger's house. I am flexible on this depending on the age of your dogs. Most of the time, they are free. I am finding that most dogs just follow me around since I am actively working on the house. The house is fairly new to me so there are many projects to be done!
“Brittany was very accommodating even though it was a quick reservation! I appreciated her help also in navigating the Rover app and getting that submitted! She’s friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I was able to go for the day and celebrate my birthday with friends and family and feel comfortable with my Macie in her care! I will definitely book with her again!!❤️🐾”

We are so grateful to have found Taylor to take care of our fur baby Bowser. He has really bad separation anxiety so he can’t be left alone. Taylor made sure he received lots of play, attention, and love. He seemed very happy when we picked him up. She sent lots of photos and was very communicative. We will be calling her again next time we need a sitter 🫶

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
