“Cynthia and Robert did a great job taking care of my dog. I felt comfortable knowing my pet was in good hands, and I really appreciated the frequent updates. It gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to others looking for a reliable sitter!”

“She is always so happy to see my dog and provides great customer service! We call her Auntie Ivy, showing much love and respect for all the dogs she cares for. Plenty of space to play and mingle.”

“I was happy to find someone who would only take one dog at a time and also works remotely! That is his norm and he can get stressed when he's with too many new dogs and not enough time to chill. I felt like he got great care with Julia and I'm grateful to have found her through Rover! She sent us updates which my whole family loved to hear and see. We will definitely book with her again.”

“Our 17 year old dachshund spent his last visit with Lesley recently. And the only reason it was his last stay was because we just moved out of state. Henry spent a lot of time being cared for by Lesley over the last couple of years and each time was a great experience for him. We had peace of mind that he was well cared for and content and we will miss Lesley’s care a LOT!”
“Merium was great for our two dogs! One of our dogs had just had a tooth extraction and needed a little extra care while she recovered. Merium was on top of it and made sure she was as comfortable as possible.”

“Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with. My pup was in great hands and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. I was kept up to date of their adventures with texts and photos, and never doubted that my boy was in good hands. Sarah will be my first choice in the future. Im so glad to have someone to trust and rely on to take care of my pup. Thank you so much Sarah!”

“Mattie always has a great time with Fae and Jackie. We also really appreciate her speedy communication and how well she takes care of our pup. Thank you!”

“I'm very grateful Lucy was available this weekend. Maggie seemed to have had a great time and was very happy when she got home. Lucy's pick-up and drop-off was very punctual and she was available for an early drop-off when I returned home early in the day. Layla, Lucy's dog, seems to be a great playmate for Maggie. Got pictures of them playing and resting together every day. Will book again!”

“Lauren was incredibly friendly and took great care of Comet. He seemed to really enjoy his stay and came back happy. Thank you Lauren for being so flexible and for watching Comet!”

“Monica was great! She is flexible and quick to respond. She sent updates and pictures while watching our pup and took great care of him. We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Reba, she is awesome! We felt so comfortable leaving our dog with her after just a short meet and greet. Her dog is very friendly and great with other dogs. Reba kept us up to date the whole time and really welcomed Louie into her home. She went above and beyond and we are so thankful to have found her!”

About: Fortunately, I was born into an animal loving family so I was blessed to have and care for animals of all kinds. Includes but not limited too: hermit crabs, gerbils, fish and more. Since birth I’ve been fascinated about learning how to care for all animals especially mammals/dogs. I truly believe that dogs are a humans best friend and I’ve been potty training, house training, walk training and more since having my first fur baby Tyra (full blooded German Sheppard) at the age of 12 who just passed this last year. I’ve been rescuing animals since I can remember and I’ve been volunteering at shelters and in the community since middle school. Pets are truly my passion & I believe in caring for those who are sometimes unable to care for themselves. If God grants me the opportunity, I would be more than honored and grateful to care for your fur baby as well. Thank you for your time & consideration. Fortunately, I was blessed with a work from home job so I can give most of my time, attention & affection to the fur babies I need. With my own fur baby and when I baby sit others we stick to our schedule and routine throughout the day so they can be physically enriched and mentally stimulated; such as but not limited too 4-6 times of walking, a kiddie pool on hotter days, fruit and or peanut butter treats, new toys and more depending on the specific needs of your fur babies. Thank you for your time & consideration. Regardless of the environment pets are my passion and I will treat your fur babies like my own. Depending on the specific needs I’ll be more than happy to provide extra play time, extra treats or toys depending on trainings such as potty training or walk training so your pup no longer pulls you while you walk. I also don’t mind providing bath time, medications or even taking your pup to the vet or their favorite park for a pup play date. Lastly, I will be sure to provide hourly and or daily checkups so you can relax, unwind and have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is safe, happy and is in blessed and gentle hands. Thank you for your time & consideration.

Marco had a great 7-day trip staying with Lauren! I appreciated that she took the time to get to know him during our meet and greet including all of his quirks. She followed my instructions carefully and kept him on his usual schedule. I received daily photos and updates. Would book again!

Alexandra was the BEST caretaker for Ellie. She attended to all my instructions and made sure Ellie had the best time. She sent daily updates and pictures and I was able to focus on my trip knowing my dog was in great hands. She was even flexible when travel chaos made me a little late for pick up. Thanks, Alexandra!

Annie was amazing with my two dogs! She provided frequent updates and lots of pictures of my dogs while I was gone. I felt really comfortable leaving them with her. It’s clear from the moment you see Annie with your dogs that she is a natural dog person and the dogs just love her. I’d recommend Annie to any dog parents!

Sarah was so good with our dogs.. it was their birthday weekend when we left them She gave them a party with cake and ice cream as well as celebrating the 4 th of July with them sending daily pics of all events… not only was she great she trimmed their nails and she took our ooking last minute…I would definitely recommend her because beyond all the compliments she loves animals…..10/10 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a huge 👍🏾 she was great….

Laura was so great with Magnus. From the first picture she sent while I was away he looked so comfortable and happy. I knew she would be a great sitter for him the moment we met. I will absolutely be booking with her in the future. Laura was great about asking questions and keeping me updated during his stay with her. She sent adorable pics which eased my separation anxiety. I would definitely recommend Laura to anyone who has a little guy. She's AWESOME!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Charlack home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Charlack.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Charlack sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
