“Holly treated our pup like her own! We will definitely be calling on her again. We felt very comfortable with Holly and our German Shepherd had a great time under her care!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jake, who stopped by twice to care for our three cats and did an amazing job! Communication was excellent throughout, and he was reliable, attentive, and clearly genuinely cared about our cats’ well-being. We would absolutely trust Jake again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for dependable and trustworthy pet care.”

About: I’ve had a dog in my family for as long as I can remember, from my childhood husky Ginger to our current family pekingese Alley. I absolutely adore dogs and jump at every chance to hang out with any of my friends dogs as well. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, including those with special medical needs. I currently work part time at a restaurant and will be dedicated to your pet’s care every second I am not at work. I would never accept a job that would require me to compromise a pet’s needs and they will always come first in my life. I am committed to following any and all instructions given for dog/cat care. I understand that being in someone else’s home means following their rules and I will respect any spaces I am invited into.
About: I am a reliable pet care provider with a deep love for dogs and animals. With extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from teacups to giants and from high-energy puppies to gentle seniors. I ensure that each pet receives personalized attention. Whether I am walking your dog or staying in your cozy home to care for your furry friend, I strive to create a welcoming environment where your loved one feels at ease. My flexibility in scheduling and willingness to provide outside playtime and walks will provide ample opportunities for your pet to enjoy exercise. I am also experienced at caring for senior and special needs animals, including sight and hearing-impaired dogs as well as animals needing medicines administered on a regular basis. I am a strong believer in being very responsive through the Rover App, providing regular updates, immediate answers to any questions you may have, and of course pictures of your furry friend! I look forward to becoming a cherished part of your pet's life! Working from home allows us to be available around the clock, ensuring your pets receive constant attention and care at any time they may need it. We ensure constant supervision for pets in both our home and yours, never leaving them unattended and always treating them with the same care as if they were our own.
About: I’ve had my knee replaced which has slowed me down a tad but also allows me be to home all the time. We recently lost our old boy (dog of 12 years) and while my cats have helped me to survive, I have so much more love to give! For now I want to spend time with others’ dogs to help fill the whole in my heart. I genuinely want to make every animal a friend of mine! I will always lead with love, care and respect. I work from home already which is usually stuff I take care of in the evenings anyway but I have the time, love and space to accommodate your furry family members. We have three lovable indoor cats. Two will stay away mostly and one will greet you at the door with friendly meows. We will spend the whole time snuggling on the couch or running around in our yard.
“Thank you for checking in on my sweet pups!! I knew they were in great hands, and i received lots of adorable pictures! They even gave my cat, Nori, some love!! Will definitely book with you again!”

About: I was an owner of a 8yr old Cane Corso who has now passed away from bone cancer. She has had 2 litters whom I cared for. 7 puppies each litter for 8 weeks was such an amazing experience! We have 4 sons and she was always attached to our 3rd son’s hip. We also rescued a beautiful cat, Misaki, who is now 1 1/2. My youngest son begged us for her and she has claimed me. She is the most sweetest thing and loves to cuddle. She follows me everywhere which we should have named her Shadow. If I could bring all the animals into my home I truly would! Myself and my youngest boys ages 16 & 15 would love to care for your animals as we would our own! We now have Briahs grandson Deuce is now 1 1/2 and is huge and a ball of fun! I’m currently a homeschool mom for I’m very flexible. I work part time but I’m available at anytime. I will make sure your babies are well taken care of! I am available three times a day for services and anytime you need your babies needs met. If they need play time we can do that or even just a belly rub after dinner :)
“I think Marilyn was really friendly. She definitely gave a lot of information. She has great prices and gave me updates on the cats and anything I needed information on. I would recommend hiring her again.”

I will meet your pet exactly where they are-I can chase and play with your dog across the yard, or I can be extra gentle and caring with your senior pet. I'm a student online. I'm very lucky that my girlfriend has a job that pays really well. As a result, I have plenty of availability for pet care! I have a reliable vehicle to get to your home and look after your pet. I can handle great, big, tough pets as well as small, fragile, senior pets. I keep the area tidy for the pets and the owners alike. I'm great with toys and playtime. I am great company for any pet.
About: I enjoy being around all types of pets. As I try to understand animals as well as making them feel understood in their own ways. I have been pet sitting for about 7 years, including drop in visits, walks and staying overnight. I currently work at Calvert Animal Hospital and have been there for 4 years. If your pet is in need of a medication administration there will be an additional charge. This price will depend on the medication, how much and how often. I currently work part time at Calvert Animal Hospital as well as am in community college full time. But I would like to stay in the animal field. Pet sitting is something I enjoy doing and enjoy helping people out. Caring for pets is truly a one of a kind job, I know with me as their sitter they will receive lots of love, treats and quality time and care throughout my stay.
“I couldn't be happier with the cat-sitting service provided by Myah over Christmas! Allison was content and well-cared for, and we appreciated the daily updates. Myah's reliability and genuine love for our cat made our holiday worry-free. Highly recommend!”

“Uduak was wonderful! She was communicative with my husband and I, and very patient with my pup who is not comfortable with new people. Uduak followed instructions to a tee, and also used her discernment in caring for Mozzy (even cleaning up an accident he had without us requesting she do so). 10 out of 10 would recommend. We will definitely be using her services again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chaneyville
Amy did a great job taking care of our boy. She went above and beyond during a tornado warning, taking Seamus and sheltering in the basement. She didn’t leave him and head to her own home she stayed with him until the warning lifted. We are grateful for her caring enough to stay. We will call her again in the future.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:

- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
