“You can trust Bella. She was super communicative and so organized. She even kept a journal of how many treats our 3 babies got. Our house was in better shape than we left it. Our flight got significantly delayed and Bella stepped in and stayed an extra night and took so much stress off a stressful situation. So grateful we found her. We will definitely have her take care of our house and animals again.”

About: I've taken care of all kinds of pets since I was a little girl. I have tons of experience with bathing, walking, and even giving meds. I have schooling but I graduate soon. I'm online so I have plenty of time on my hands. Taking care of animals is what I love and is a perfect way to fill my schedule. I have a large land (8.9 acres). I only have 2 dogs and they are very well trained. I was raised to "leave it better than I found it" so I will never snoop or trash any home.
“Chelsea was phenomenal watching our two dogs while we went away for a weekend trip! From the moment we left, she went above and beyond—sending regular pictures and videos that gave us complete peace of mind and made us feel connected while we were away. She made sure our pups had everything they needed, stuck closely to their routines, and clearly treated them like her own. Her communication, attention to detail, and genuine care exceeded our expectations in every way. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing, reliable pet sitter. 11/10!”

“Loarann was amazing!! This was my first time using in-home boarding so I was nervous but she was so sweet and so communicative. I never once had to worry or wonder what was going on which is huge for when you go on a trip that’s stressful enough! I honestly think she left the place better than she found it and was so kind about my house being kind of a sight these days because of renovations. She seems to truly love animals and I will 100% use her again in the future, no question.”

“Amazing service! Our first time using Rover and we really lucked out! Thanks Kristi for taking such great care of our pups and kitties. It was so nice to go away and know they were well cared for. We will definitely rebook!”

About: There’s not a pet in the world I’ve met that I didn’t get along with. Lots of experience with senior dogs and specialized diets for dietary restrictions. Certified medical assistant so broad medical knowledge that helps with animals as well. Right now, I’m flexible to do a lot of different services. I work in central Pensacola and can stop in for potty breaks and short walks during the work day and can do overnight stays if needed. I respect my client’s home, space, and furry family member. I was raised by military parents that instilled very good morals and values in me.
About: I probably get along with dogs more than I do people. I've grown up with many, and have rescued most of the ones I have owned. Dogs are so much more than pets to me, they are family! They are such a big part of my life that I even went to school to become a vet assistant. However, life interfered and I never acquired my certificate (out of time frame, I passed my tests?). In the past two years, I’ve acquired my CCMA, and am studying now to become an RN. I love taking care of people and pets. :) I have experience pet sitting as well as working at a doggy daycare-one of my favorite jobs! Now I have bigger bills to pay, and children to take care of. However, I loved it so much that I would like to get back into doing this on the side. It’s a win-win for the both of us, because I get doggo lovings, and you get your doggo taken care of!
About: I have 3 dogs small and large. All super well taken care of and walk atleast a mile everyday. I also groom my own pets every month. I make sure that all my pups and me get our daily exercise together by taking walks or runs. I always plan my schedules for the week around my dogs and the time I need with them. I give them so much love and get all the exercise and energy they need in the day out. They are my number 1 priority
“Kerry was great, I felt comfortable with her in my home and taking care of my MOST precious pups! She sent me many pictures throughout the day & she gave them so much attention! I go out of town frequently and find it hard to find a great at home pet sitter. She was even so sweet to check my mail for me. I will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities for friends, family, and neighbors over the years. I’m patient, dependable, and make sure every pet feels safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I have experience with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, basic routines, and giving pets extra attention when they feel anxious or nervous. I have a flexible schedule and make time to give pets the attention and care they need. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight care depending on the day. I always make sure pets stay on their normal routine and feel comfortable while their owners are away. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for like they are my own. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from owners. I keep a clean and calm environment, give regular updates, and make sure pets feel loved and secure while in my care.
About: I have been around dogs since I was 3 years old. I have always had family dogs and now own an 8 year old German Shepherd. I have pet sat for friends and family since I was in middle school. I work from home so I will be able to be with your dog for most of the day. I currently do not have kids so am very flexible with my time. I can stay in your house with your animals and be there almost all day. I have a lot of experience with strong dogs and enjoy taking dogs on adventures or just walks around the neighborhood.
“Debbie is the absolute best! She watched our two dachshunds for the weekend. When we came back they were relaxed and we definitely knew they were well taken care of. She sent pictures, and followed their routine. We will definitely use Debbie in the future!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was 4 we recently just had to put down our 15 year old pit Bull. I have a 10 year old pit mix that I hold near my heart. I hope as you look at my profile and see me you also believe that I will treat your dog as one of my own and give them the best care while you are away. As of right now I work from home, so that means I am free all day to give your dog the love and care they deserve! I do not have a fenced in yard but i am a couple blocks down from a dog friendly park that we could walk to or even just play in the spacious back yard. I also have a friendly fur baby who would love making a new friend.

FAQs for House Sitting - Century
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 334 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Century. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Century walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Century maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Century choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Century. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
