“Dani was amazing! She sent endless pictures of my dog, which I really appreciated. In every single photo he looked like he was having fun, relaxing, or getting plenty of love and attention. Krown will be returning!”

About: Hi! My name is Laura and I’m an experienced dog mom of nearly two decades. I know how to keep dogs feeling safe, clean, fed, and cared for when their owners need some help. I can offer special care and also give medications if needed. Note: I can only accommodate small dog breeds. My dog named “Tallulah” is a 9Ib female (spayed) Maltese. She is very dog friendly, though, we can discuss whether you’d like your dog to spend time with Tallulah or be in a separate area of my home. I can accommodate any specific requests you may have! 💞 🐾 I currently work remotely from home so dog boarding is available Monday-Sunday! I am present for the entirety of your dogs stay. My goal is to provide the care your dog is accustomed to at home so the experience is not only safe but enjoyable 🏠 🐾 ❤️ All dogs in my care will be tending to just like they’re at a special dog hotel and on a schedule of your choosing. My home is very quiet, private, and safe. I can accommodate any specific requests you may have! 💞 🐾

“This was my dog Hank's 2nd stay with Sydney. She took good care of him, including tending to his paws when they were irritated by the salt on the walkways, and her communication was excellent. I would highly recommend this sitter.”

“Sent me pictures of my puppy and kept me updated! Loved how she took my puppy for walks and let her run in the fenced in backyard. Will definitely use her again! She was friendly and communicated!”

“Dana was great! We just picked up our two dogs after a long weekend away… they were well taken care of and spent their days playing with Dana’s other dogs. They had a blast! Dana updated us with pictures and texts throughout their stay and kept us informed.”

“Devorat was wonderful in every way - she's a sweetheart and kept in touchwith texts, photos and videos and I could see my pup was so happy with her and the other dogs!”

“What a pleasure! Skyla was very welcoming and kind. This was my first time leaving my fur baby with someone and she definitely eased my worries. She was excellent and communicated regularly. She sent me photos and took amazing care of my Lila.”

“Can’t say enough about how comfortable and safe we feel leaving our pup with Leanne. She is the only person we’ve used on Rover and has been worth every penny. This past time she helped us out last minute and we are more thankful that we can say in person. The photos and updates let us know our pup is in good hands, having fun, and getting love from a family.”

“Karen was wonderful with my dog, Gus! She sent regular updates, photos, and videos throughout his stay. She even took him on a fun outing to Harkness and had so many positive things to say about him, which meant a lot to me. Karen is trustworthy, clearly cares about the dogs she watches, and treated mine like her own. I will absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!”

“Omg, what a great host and sitter. Carolina was so responsive, and communicated everyday about my little one. Provided updates, pictures and videos and even had a safety “if lost” collar for him. Never saw that before and I love the idea! Will book every time I’m in town and need care. Had zero worries. Another great perk is she has a yard so if your pup likes the outdoors, they are safe and can get some sun. Thank you so much!”

“Ashley was great! She was quick to respond to our request for her services. Our dog Tessa stayed with her for 4 nights and seemed very content there. We received many updates with pictures throughout her stay, which we really appreciated. I would definitely use her services again!”

“Karissa is very caring and will love your dogs like her own for the time she has them. She sends pictures at least once a day so you know they’re doing well. My dog had a great weekend while I was away. Would book again if I need it! Thank you so much!”
“Cailey took care of my senior cat for an extended time and took great care of her. Cailey kept me updated on how my cat was doing, including for a period of time where my cat wasn’t eating as much. My cat will do this on occasion so I wasn’t concerned, and appreciated Cailey noticing and checking in with me about that. I would absolutely work with Cailey again, thank you!”

“We were very nervous to leave our pup for a long weekend but he loved his stay! They were very loving with our little guy and he was right at home with them. Will definitely book with them again.”

“Bethany provided our family with a peace of mind and assurance that Ted was in loving care while we were away. Bethany was intentional with updates and snapshots of our Ted in a daily basis. She was respectful and professional from start to finish. Our family cannot recommend Bethany enough.”

“Armitage took great care of my 2 dogs for a week. We got photos everyday and plenty of updates that they were doing well. Armitage also washed our dog’s beds before we picked them up, which was not expected! I felt very confident they were in good hands while we were away!”

Amanda had been our dog sitter when we go for the last year and I have nothing but positive things to say. She has excellent communication, is always accommodating, and creates a loving environment for our dog Sonya. Whenever we go away I know our dog is in good hands. :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Central Village home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Central Village.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Central Village sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
