“Belle had such an amazing time! Chonlada and her fam were absolutely amazing. We are from out of state and were a little nervous to leave Belle, but Chonlada made it such a great experience and took wonderful care of our pup. She even sent Belle home with a parting gift and her daughters drew a beautiful pic of Belle! I would certainly trust Chonlada with any dog!”

“Shona and her family were amazing! Our dogs have never been to daycare and never boarded, but they loved it. Shona sent pictures and kept us updated. One of our dogs is afraid of everything, but she was happy and comfortable enough to nap on their sofa. And Shona was not even upset that we arrived early and woke her up, lol! We will definitely be repeat customers when the need arises. We would recommend Shona to anyone.”

“This was our first time using Rover and leaving Mochi with a sitter. Jason was so responsive from the start. He sent lots of photos and it was evident he’s a pro! Mochi had a great day!! I would recommend him everytime! Thank you again!”

“Kristin is amazing! She responds quickly, sends the cutest picture updates, and our pups were very well taken care of (and had lots of fun). It was my first time using Rover and I’m so glad to have chosen Kristin - her professionalism and clear love for animals put me at ease quickly, and I would highly recommend!”

“Sandy loved to go to Kim's home every morning. He enjoyed the loving care of Kim and family and the company of sweet and friendly Nala. I am glad I found Kim on Rover. I had to drive long hours to NJ for work several days. Kim and family took care of very playful "toddler" Sandy with patience.”
“Diego and Amelia were great with our dog, Athena! Came in from out of town to attend an event and Diego and Amelia accommodated our hectic schedule. Thank you again!”

“Amanda took great care of our mini poodle Lily. She sent lovely photos and videos of Lily enjoying her backyard. She was accommodating when we needed to drop off earlier than expected. Would recommend for your pets needs!”

About: A lifelong dog lover with over nine years of personal experience raising my own pup and five years of dedicated dog‑sitting for friends and families. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs, always making sure they feel safe, loved, and understood. I’m currently available throughout the entire week, including weekends, and can accommodate a wide range of schedules. Early‑morning drop‑offs work perfectly for me, and I’m happy to provide flexible timing to make your routine as smooth and stress‑free as possible. I have a huge fenced in yard and have easy access to private trails by the home and the have no other pets at home.

About: I used to have a Shih-tzu named Eris who was a very sweet girl with lots of energy. I currently look after a French Bulldog from time to time who I absolutely love. I like working with small dogs/lap dogs but I can work with bigger dogs too. I work from home, and I have plenty of time to play with your dog or take them on walks. I spend most of my day ar my desk, and I would welcome the extra encouragement to go outside and take the dog for a walk. I live with two other family members who love dogs, so your dog will never go without attention. If your dog is small, then I will happily let them sit on my bed while I work, and I'll reach over to give them pets whenever they want. Larger dogs are welcome to lie in a dog bed by my desk, or downstairs on the couch with me.

About: I have owned, trained and cared for dogs, cats and horses over the last 17 years. I also work with a dog rescue organization in the area and have fostered over 40 dogs in the last 3 years. As an avid animal lover I understand the significant impact that owning animals has on our ability to travel and relax when away. I want to provide people the opportunity to travel care-free while their dogs enjoy the best care being boarded in my home. I have a very dog-friendly house with a fully secure fenced in yard. I work from home so dogs receive attention all day and night and get lots of playtime. Dogs boarded here will get free roam of the house but can also have and use a crate at the owner’s request. I am able to feed special diets and give medication as needed. If your dog stays here they will be welcomed into my house as if they were one of my own. Dogs that come here should be friendly with both male and female dogs. There are no cats in the home. I am also available for lunch time, evening and weekend dog walking. I work from home and am here almost all of the time for boarding in my home. I am also available to provide dog walks during the week in the evenings, sometimes over lunch and on the weekends. Dogs cared for in my home will be treated as if they were my own. They are able to roam about the house and use the full fenced yard. Dogs are allowed on my bed and on the couches in the home, in addition to the many dog beds throughout. Owners can expect frequent photos and updates on their pup! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cedars
This was our second time leaving our dog Brodie with Ariel, and once again she did a fantastic job. I felt completely comfortable leaving him in her care. When we arrived, Ariel bent down to greet him and he leaned into her legs for pets, clearly happy to see her. He walked right into her home like he belonged there, which made it easy for us to leave without any stress. Ariel was very flexible with our uncertain return time and was happy to adjust as our plans changed. Brodie clearly had a great day, and I’ll absolutely be booking with her again, knowing he’s in good hands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,554 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Cedars. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cedars commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,554 sitters in Cedars, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
