“Simply, Adeline was a perfect pet sitter in pur home. Our little dog is 16 years old and doesn't hear. He also was highly traumatized before we adopted him, so new people make him very agitated. deline was amazing with him. She was kind enough to agree to a pre vacation meetup before our holiday. She listened to our concerns and clearly treated him well. By the time we came home a week later, she was his bestie. Adeline sent us photos periodically with updates and seemed to really care about them, offering to sit for us again in the future. We're so grateful to Adeline for her patience and care; she made it possible for me to relax on vacation knowing they were in good hands. Thank you Adeline!”

“Lindsay did a great job watching our dogs! They were friendly and easy to communicate with. They followed instructions well and adapted to a pup that was very shy and stand off-ish.”

“merry was great with my dog! they were very thorough and made sure they had al the necessary info to take care of him, and i was very confident that we would be well taken care of while i was gone! highly recommend (:”

“Sydney was great during an overnight stay with our cat! She was attentive and I could tell she was really looking out for his needs. When he became a bit antisocial and cried during the night, Sydney didn’t hesitate to reach out and see if there was anything else she could do to make him feel comfortable. Her energy definitely aligned with our cat’s and he got along with her great. Thanks Sydney!”

“This is my first time using Rover and we were looking for an overnight sitter for mainly my little Genee girl who has never not had family around her. Anika filled that gap for us and did an amazing job. She put up with all my messages and provided pictures of Genee on walks and playing. She even included pics of the cat lounging around as usual. I was worried about leaving Genee for the first time but Anika made it much easier for me! I would highly recommend her and I will be calling upon her again when we need a sitter!”

“Wendy was phenomenal! We really appreciated that she reached out to ask questions & made sure she was doing everything she could for our cat, Macy. Our girl is in her golden years and finding someone who works in the vet industry provided us a lot of reassurance! 10/10 would recommend”
About: I have been a pet sitter for 6 years and love what I do! I have taken care of a wide age range and enjoy each job just the same. Safety and respect is my priority, and I am comfortable administering medications. I am currently attending nursing school and am looking for some pet work related activities to fit into my day! I have a fair bit of free time and would love to spend it doing something I love, caring for animals! I am extremely comfortable around all animals, especially dogs. I will follow house instructions perfectly and use critical thinking skills when needed it situations. I am extremely respectful of your space, and will do my absolute best when caring for your pet!
“Amazing! Great communication and overall a wonderful person. Definitely put us at ease knowing ahead of time was here taking care of the dogs. She communicated almost daily with photos and videos putting us at ease. The home was spotless and cleaned up from her week at our place. We HIGHLY recommend and will definitely book Sarah again without hesitation!!”

“Reagan was amazing with our puppy River! She is very flexible with scheduling and quickly adapted to River’s changing medical needs. She went above and beyond for our pup and I would highly recommend her services.”

“Aidan did a wonderful job caring for our two goldens and house while we were away for a week. He communicated consistently, sent regular photo updates, followed routines for our pups, and kept our home neat and well cared for. When we returned, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly tired from having so much fun and attention during the week. It was such a relief to know they were in good hands while we were away. We would absolutely book Aidan again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Clovis did a great job caring for our animals and house sitting while we were out of town, even our bearded dragon. They are very respectful and responsible. We got lots of updates with pictures and videos. They were very patient with our dog as he took time to warm up to them. Our house was in order when we returned and our animals seemed to be healthy and happy.”

About: I’ve had my fair share of petsitting and dog walking and I enjoyed it a lot. I also have had pets that I have cared for. I have a very flexible schedule since I am currently unemployed and not going to school. I am open most days and times as well as some weekends. I have had many pets and have loved and cared for them. Currently I have a dog that I care for. I hope to take care of your pets as well.
About: Caring for animals has always been a part of our livelihood. For over 30 years we have been blessed to take care of both dogs and cats young and old. We have also worked closely with a dog rescue organization and have fostered numerous pups. We have had experience with both puppies/kitties and senior dogs/cats as we have had many that have lived their golden years with us. We are comfortable with many medical needs. As we have five pets of our own, we have become easily accustomed to dog and cat schedules. We work both in and out of the home and are available to take care of pets at all times of the day while pet sitting at our house. Pet sitting outside of our home can easily be supported on evenings and weekends. We have greater flexibility during the summer for weekday support. Our dogs enjoy multiple walks throughout the day as well as potty breaks and play sessions. Our cats enjoy snuggling and playing. We love sleeping with pups, but if they enjoy having their own time while sleeping, we can easily accommodate.
About: I love every pet I've ever met, from my childhood hamsters to my three silly cats - and I already know I love yours! I've had my own kitties for 6 years, and I've been taking care of others' cats, dogs, and small animals for even longer, from playful puppies to grumpy feline queens of the house. I can give most kinds of oral and topical medications comfortably if your pet needs any, and I have a decent amount of behavioral experience with anxious pets. I'm also no stranger to incontinence issues, and am more than happy to scrub any carpet. Bring on the enzyme cleaner! I'm in a transitional period right now, so I am happy to spend as much time with your pet as needed to keep their regular routine. As the owner of more than one anxious cat, I know just how important it is to keep your pet's environment as close to normal as possible while you're gone. I'm more than happy to work with you to make your house as close to routine as possible, from feeding times, play styles, or even someone to pounce on at 3am!
“She took great care of our two girl dogs. Our anxious girl has separation anxiety so it’s very helpful she’s able to be with them in our home so much. It is very hard to find a sitter that doesn’t have to leave for another job, go home to care for other pets, can’t stay the night, etc. We will be booking with her in the future!”

“Wonderful timely and dependable! We had a bad experience with a sitter previously but Megan restored our trust in using pet sitters! Brody was very happy to have her company. Thank you Megan for giving me peace of mind while I was on a work trip 🙏”

FAQs for House Sitting - Cedarhurst Park
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 4,424 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cedarhurst Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cedarhurst Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cedarhurst Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cedarhurst Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cedarhurst Park. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
