“Leslie was VERY accommodating with our last minute booking and always answering my texts. She sent pictures to reassure our dog was in good hands. He fell asleep on our drive home which means he had got out lots of energy and had a great time! Will defiantly be using her and her husband again.”

“This is our first time using Rover, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Kathy did a wonderful job taking care of our dog Oreo. She was able to accommodate our last minute request, and provided consistent updates and pictures throughout his stay. We hope to utilize her in the future, and would definitely recommend her services.”

“Brittany M. has been so much more than a pet sitter—she’s been an exceptional human being. She cared for my dog Luna with such love, dedication, and tenderness that it far exceeded my expectations. She and her children treated my baby as part of their family, showering her with affection and attention. Brittany also stayed in constant communication with me every single day, sending photos and showing me the environment Luna was in, which gave me so much peace and confidence. It’s a true blessing to find someone like her. I will absolutely trust her again and recommend her more than 100%. Thank you, Brittany, for everything!”

“This was my very first time leaving my Rocky with a sitter and I was extremely nervous!! All kinds of things were running through my head; however a friend assured me that all would be well. I located Tyeriah and she eased my nerves and let me know that she's had lots of experience with newbies. While I was away, she sent pictures and updates and I could tell Rocky was fine. She let me know about his eating, playing, etc. All of my worries were gone! I will definitely be using her again and I highly recommend her to care for your fur babies! Thanks so much Tyeriah, you're the Best!!!”

“Our dog had a wonderful time! The pictures everyday assured us she was in a safe place. Her smile shows it. Their dog got along well with her and became a new friend.”

“Another excellent experience boarding with Philip! I can tell my dog feels at home and has the best time, and I’m comforted knowing he’s in good hands. Will happily book again in the future!”

“Hailey was an excellent sitter. I received pictures and my paw baby felt so comfortable with her and her paw babies. My Bella found a friend in her fur babies that’s for sure. I have found my baby sitter for my baby from now on. I would thoroughly recommend Hailey to anyone that is wanting a caring and loving baby paw sitter!!!! If I could rate her a 10 star I would! Thank you so much for loving my paw baby!”

About: I’ve owned dogs and also help care for my neighbors and family members dogs when they go out of town. Not in a situation to have my own right now sadly, I’d love to hang out with yours! :) we also have a sweet 10 year old cat that we’ve had since he was just a couple months old, we are cat people just as much as dog people, I’d love to come drop in and hang with your kitty. For the summer time I do have my almost 6 year old daughter and my 3 year old son with me. They are both very respectful of dogs and cats. However if your pet is not good with kids I am available after 5 pm on weekdays and mostly all weekend days. I will keep your pet safe and abide by what you ask of me! Like I said, I truly love animals. I will do all that I can to make them feel loved, safe and cared for while you’re gone. ☺️
“Stephanie was absolutely great, and such a sweet person in general. Daily updates about my pup were fabulous - something I looked forward to each evening while I was away. Her dog and cats were also great with my dog, patient with the little one. Definitely recommend Stephanie if you're going away and need someone sweet and reliable to watch your furbaby. Thank you so much!”

“Anastasia did a wonderful job with Bella! Bella is a rescue GSD who had a pretty traumatic start ( being caged with her sister for at least years). This was her first time away. Anastasia was gentle, and put Bella at ease. Walked her often. I got updates and pics. Will definitely book again.”

“Nickey was great! She took such good care of my Lucy. I love how my girl got tons of attention and love while we were away. Nickey sent pictures and videos often and her communication was great- she even picked up and dropped off Lucy for us, which was a huge help! I definitely recommend booking with Nickey!”

About: Hi!! Born and raised in Alaska, I have my way down south to play soccer and study at Wingate University! A little bit about me - I had a dog for 18 years of my life and have taken care of every kind of dog (and other pets) since I was about 14. I LOVE animals and treat the ones I care for like my very own, which brings me not only joy but a lot of repeat customers! I also have experience fostering puppies/dogs. To add, I have experience with senior dogs and administering medicines. I am also very active and love getting outside/playing with your pets! I am a student athlete at Wingate University, however my schedule in the spring is fairly light. I have a couple classes in the morning and then am free for a couple hours during the day until practice at 4pm that usually lasts about 1-2 hours. I am completely free in the evening after that! Pet care would fit into my weekly routine per request of the client. Drop ins, walks, or check ins would be very doable, realistic, and enjoyable for me to do throughout the week! I care for the pets as I would care for my own. I take notes and make sure to follow all the clients requests about food, boundaries, behaviors, and anything else that is necessary. I also love to keep in touch with the client by sending them pictures/updates of their fur babies, especially if I am watching them for an extended period of time. If the client wanted to meet me prior to allowing me to care for their dog, I would gladly do so!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cedar Hill home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cedar Hill.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cedar Hill sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
