About: I have cared for my own pets, friends pets, and family members pets for decades, including multiple senior pets and those with specific medical needs. I work from home and have my own pets who are spoiled with constant company and attention to needs. I walk my own dogs in the morning throughout the summer to avoid the hottest part of the day. It is unlikely I am ever out of the house for more than 90 minutes, ensuring that neither your nor my own dogs are left unattended for long enough to become anxious. My backyard is fully shaded, fenced, and has a small pond. Even on the hottest days my backyard is suitable for lounging despite the high desert heat.

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I have had two registered therapy dogs and have house sat for numerous families. I love all dogs and just want them to be cared for whi families enjoy their time away I’m retired so I have an open schedule and am free for days or weeks depending on your needs. I can housework or host. Just let me know anytime I have a gated yard as well as doggie door access and don’t really crate animals. I let them run free in the house unless otherwise specified

“Nathan was a great with drop-in visits for our dogs and cat while we were away. He took really well to the adverse personalities of our dogs when first meeting them so it made me feel comfortable with the visits.”

“This review is quite delayed as I am still learning the Rover program. Rita was my pet sitter previous to my current one. She was amazing. She took care of my dog as though she was her own, kept me updated and took so many great pictures. I was so sad that she moved but hope she has continued to provide this care where she moved to.”

“It was wonderful to work with Misty! She’s very professional, considerate, and communicative. I really appreciated her flexibility and the daily pictures! I also learned a thing or two about dog training from her, which I found super helpful. My critters all love her (obviously the most important thing!). I highly recommend her for all your critters.”

About: My dogs, Tuffy and Jefe, just recently passed due to the sickness of old age. I got them about 16 years ago when I was just a little girl. I took care of them like they were family, cause they were! I trained the dogs many skills; Sit, Stay, Walk, Guard, Talk, you name it. They lost those skills as they grew into elderly animals. Tuffy, had a stroke and his back legs were paralyzed for the last 4 years of his life. I helped him learn how to stand and walk all on his own again. Jefe simply fell a victim to typical elderly animal symptoms. Blindness, Deafness, inability to control their bladders, inability to smell. He grew very timid and was refusing to eat. I helped him how to relearn his balance and learn the vibration in the floors, I helped him relearn to eat. I want to help you with your fur baby, young or elderly! All ages are just as precious as the rest. I'm currently in school part time which leaves me plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! I'm also very active and love taking dogs on walks. I do not offer onboarding services at this time. Any mess made in your home will be cleaned on the spot. I am very respectful of others' spaces.

About: I've had a dog as part of my family for as long as I can remember. I would walk, feed, and clean up after them as I grew up. At the age of 16, I found my pup, Tessa, at the Animal Humane and got my first job just so I could have her (Yes, I paid for everything for her by myself). Since then I have had her by my side through finishing high school, finishing my undergrad, moving cities and states. When I was finishing my undergrad I decided to get another pup so my girl could have a sibling especially once I started working full time. I got my boy, Haka, at six weeks old and now he is 6yrs. Growing up I use to walk my neighbors pug multiple times a week. When in high school we had multiple dogs in the household that required extra care and attention due to their different personalities and temperaments. With my dog being bigger than the other dogs in my family I had to take measures to ensure all of them remained safe. This mainly involved having different play times and feeding them separately. For example: One of the dogs was very territorial over toys and would lash out at any other dog that came around, however, this pup was the smallest one so it was essential for me to mitigate the opportunity for a bad situation. This involved monitoring the situation at all times when the toy was out, keeping the dogs separated, or removing the toys altogether. I’m currently shifting to a new career field, so I am at home full time and plan to be throughout summer. I am a very active person with two of my own high energy pups that love to play at home or the dog park and loves walks/runs. I live in a townhome that has a relatively small yard and have a dog door that allows for anytime potty breaks. I have a tall back fence completely enclosing the yard. I live with a mile of two parks and the walking path on Tramway, and a few miles from trails or the dog park. The safety of mine and your pets is the main priority, so transparency is very important. All animals have different personalities, and stress of a new environment can change how they behave so it’s important that I know how they may react so I can put proper measures in place to keep everyone safe.

About: With 2 dogs of my own, I completely understand the worry of having to leave your baby in the care of another. I offer flexible boarding in my home and check ins/walks! I’ve taken care of various friends and family members pets while they were away, have tons of experience in the pet sitting world (can provide references if needed) and both my boyfriend and I are certified vet assistants! Im currently working part time, have a schedule that allows me to be home a majority of the day, and can provide flexible potty breaks. Living in an apartment, we have access to many parks and various trails nearby! My dogs love company and will keep your pup busy for hours. They are both crate trained and everyone can be separated if needed.

About: After having three dogs for many years, I am an expert at walking more than one--with expandable leashes, it's like flying three kites at once! In addition to long (or short) walks, I also like snuggling with pups on the couch. I currently have one 20-pound pup who gets along with almost all other dogs and loves having guests. For boarding and daycare, a meet and greet is a must. I have a very flexible work schedule and I mostly work from my home. I love taking frequent walks and petting dogs throughout the workday. I do not have a yard but like taking walks at all times of day, so your pup can still get plenty of exercise. I am familiar with senior dog care and am comfortable giving pills, following special diets, etc.

About: I currently provide dog-sitting services for coworkers, elderly neighbors, and friends. I don’t get enough bookings from people I know, so I’m joining Rover to hopefully get some more opportunities. My background includes working at an animal hospital, where I was primarily responsible for boarding dogs and cats of various sizes and ages. My duties encompassed walking, feeding, playing with, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kennels. Additionally, I undertook tasks such as bathing animals and caring for newborn puppies and kittens. I also look after my family’s cat and my partner’s dogs, both of whom present challenges due to their dog-aggressive behavior. This experience has fueled my ongoing commitment to studying dog behavior and training techniques to enhance my caregiving skills and better support the animals I look after. I will be fully dedicated to your pet’s wellness and happiness if you book with me! My fees are based on experience, gas expenses, and the work itself. Tips are greatly appreciated as there is a huge service fee on here. Thank you :) Right now, I work full time from 8:30 to 4:30, but I am fully available during evenings and early mornings. For any at home care on the weekends, I will have to leave for 2 hours to check on my own dogs while my partner is at work. When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client's, I prioritize a safe and structured environment tailored to each pet's individual needs. In client homes, I am trusted with overnight stays and have consistently managed multiple animals without any issues, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well-cared-for in their familiar surroundings. In my own home, I adhere to a disciplined routine, particularly with dogs, to maintain a sense of order and security. This includes scheduled feeding times, walks, and play sessions, which helps in managing their energy levels and maintaining their health. My cat, Beans, enjoys a more flexible routine, which suits her independent nature. She's free to set her own pace throughout the day, though I ensure her needs for interaction and care are met. Overall, my approach is based on respect, patience, and attentiveness to the unique personality and requirements of each pet, ensuring they feel loved and at ease under my care.

About: My friends and family have relied on me to fed, walked and given their pets their medications. I have taken care of all different breeds and sizes. I won’t be Working over the spring and summer so I will have a very open availability. And I am very flexible. Can do last minute bookings I have a fenced backyard. Lots of room to play. My dog is very friendly and likes to play. I don’t let my cat outside though.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life - dogs, cats, chickens, turtles, frogs, and fish - and I absolutely love caring for them! I recently moved from Pennsylvania and had to leave my pets with family for now, so getting to spend time with other people’s furry friends brings me so much joy. I have experience with both playful puppies and sweet senior pets, and I always make sure they feel loved, safe, and happy. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and the positive energy I bring to every visit! I’m available on weekends with at least 3 days’ notice, and weekdays after 5 PM. My schedule will be changing in June, so I’ll keep you updated as it shifts! I live in a pet-friendly apartment with a small dog yard and walking trails just steps away—perfect for outdoor time and exercise. I’m also right near the mountains, so your pet will be surrounded by nature and fresh air. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. I follow any care instructions closely and treat every pet like family to build trust and make them feel right at home❤️

“Montgomery’s experience with animals was so appreciated when she spent time with our two dogs. Both are giant breeds and have been rescued. With one, we are working on anxiety and meeting people. So, Montgomery’s speciality behavioural training with dogs was wonderful to know about and see in action when she met and spent time with both dogs. We were impressed with her attention to detail and questions asked. The most important aspect was how comfortable and easily our dogs adapted to her and paid attention to her. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to having Montgomery take care of our dogs again.”

About: I can stay at your home or I can board your pets at my home (boarding only if you have small lap dogs). For boarding, I keep your pets indoors with our pets in our personal living space so your pets should be clean, house-broken, and tolerant of children. We have a very clean home with mostly red brick tile throughout (except for the bedrooms which have white carpet). We have a small doggie door which enters into a small fenced area (4'x12') for self-potty breaks while we are at work (if your dogs know how to use a doggie door). We can also close this door if your dog is an escape artist. Our home is located in the east mountains off the Zuzax exit (about 15 minutes from Tramway Blvd). We both work (I have summers off) so we come to Albuquerque every day via I-40 and would be happy to pick up your pet at a meeting location if the drive is a pain for you. We have a huge horse barn and several acres as our backyard. We have a mini-horse, three mini goats, three chickens, two small dogs, and a cat. Why is my rate so reasonable you ask? Because we don't do this to make a living. Getting to care for other peoples furry children brings much happiness & joy to our lives too. If it was a pain in the rear, we'd charge much much more. But it's not, it's a treat for us. I also automatically donate 5% of my pet sitting fee's to K9's for Warriors via Rover.com. K9's for Warriors provides service canines to warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury as a result of military service. About this sitter: I'm a married mother of two children, and many animal children. I work full-time as a social worker. Caring for pets is a natural extension of my care of humans. Why I love dog sitting: I've been a dog lover since I was little. My families Norwegian Elkhound had puppies when I was 2 years old and I have pictures of my twin sister and I being so in love with them and carrying them everywhere we went. When I was 19, I bought a dog book and combed the pages looking for my best K-9 match. I ended up getting a Shih Tzu and a Brussels Griffon. 20 years later, we now have Budrow, my 14 year old Norfolk Terrier mix, Gracie, my 2 year old mini-Australian Sheppard/mini-Poodle mix, and a 4 year old sweet long hair female cat named Aphrodite. They are all best buddies and they enjoy having furry houseguests. Meet my pets: We have one mini-horse, three mini-goats, three chickens, 2 small dogs, and a cat. About my yard: We have a huge backyard (5 acres), some areas are fenced some are not. If your dogs are diggers, I'd worry that they might get into the chicken coop or the goat area. We do not want to host large outdoor dogs at this time, until we get proper sturdy fencing around the entire property. We are currently only hosting indoor lap dogs at this time. My experience administering medication: Yes, I will administer medication (including shots) unless a dog bites or gets squirrely. I accommodate your pets needs around my work schedule. In the Fall or Spring I occasionally have my teenagers sports events or meets to attend. I treat you pets like my own and if I’m caring for your pets in my own home they will be included in my regular life, living room time (sunning windows, movie nights on the couch, etc), grass time, playtime, sleep time, etc.

About: I’ve taken care of animals of every kind since I was 12… from dogs, to cats, to horses. I volunteered for a no kill animal shelter as a teenager where I cared for, exercised, and assisted in adoption efforts. I’m relied on by neighbors and friends to walk and care for their animals and look forward to caring for yours. Animals truly hold a special place in my heart. I have a flexible work schedule which allows me plenty of time to care for your animals. I enjoy walking and hiking in the mountains with my dogs and look forward to incorporating yours. I have a fenced yard with 2.5 acres of land. I have a section fenced off in the backyard for smaller animals. I have two friendly dogs for your animals to play with.

Jason G.
“Jason is great! When we met I could tell he gets animals. My cat is usually shy around new people, but warmed up to him almost instantly, and that never happens. Jason has a calm, gentle presence that both my cat and my small terrier responded to with total trust. While I was away Jason kept me updated with daily messages, adorable photos, and little notes about how my pets were doing. It gave me peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. When I returned, my home was just as I left it, and my pets were relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pets like family, Jason is the one. Responsible, communicative, and genuinely caring. He’s everything you want in a pet sitter. I’m so grateful we found him!”

“Joy is a neighbor and friend we have known s long time. We hired her recently to watch our two golden doodles , who have never been left with any one. I was apprehensive because we “spoil” them😊. Well, I don’t think our dogs cared we came home!! They loved her, and from the pictures she sent me she thoroughly enjoyed them and cared for them like her own .. highly recommend her.”

Dana P.
“Dana was absolutely amazing with my senior pup, Coco! She took her on walks, to the park, gave her baths, brushed her, and even made sure she got her medication right on schedule. She followed all my requests perfectly and kept me updated the whole time. Coco can be picky with people, but she and Dana totally clicked it was clear they formed a special bond. Dana is super sweet, fun, and easy to communicate with. I felt 100% at ease knowing Coco was in such good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who truly cares!”

Sandra T.

We highly recommend her to anyone in need of a top-notch pet and house sitter. Thank you, Sandra, for your exceptional service!”

“Mira is an amazing pet sitter. I left her with with my puppy that doesn't trust many people but immediately came liked her. He fell in love with her other dogs and got to spend time in the dog park which he loves. I got lots of updates and she was quick to respond. I would recommend.”

Celeste R.
“Celeste is a very conscientious pet owner. When she interacts with dogs, she is affectionate and fun. Celeste loves getting out for walks and outdoor exercise, and she transmits that enthusiasm to any dogs who accompany her. Celeste is also observant about pets' behavior, so she notices how they like to play and how they like to relax.”

“Onrae was amazing with my Lola, he updated me on all of there activities. When I picked her up she didn’t want to leave. I will be booking with Onrae again.”

Sarah R.

“Sarah was extra careful with Dulce. She attended to all her needs and made sure Dulce did not escape to the wild blue wander. Will use Sarah again.”

Regan H.
“Oh my gosh, yes! I definitely recommend Regan as a person to take care of your pets!! She is my go-to for my dog because he isn’t very trusting and can sometimes be nippy. Koda loves her, though! She has walked him and gone over to hang out with him, let him out, walk snd play with him when I’ve been out of town. She was an intern at an emergency veterinary clinic when she lived in NV and I think that’s probably where she learned how to handle the dogs.”

Arman F.
“Arman is a great pet caregiver. He looked after my cat David and made sure his needs were met and went beyond to make him feel comfortable. I know Arman would do the same for all animals. Would highly recommend Arman to anyone who is in need of their pets be looked after.”
