“Kari & her husband were amazing with my Gracie! Kari sent daily pictures & really intergraded Gracie into their everyday life. I picked up a very happy & loved dog!! I will most definitely book again!!”

“I would 100% recommend Maggie to other people she is such a genuine amazing sweet person and she treats your pet as one of her own, she also responds super fast to messages which I appreciate immensely.”

“I am grateful to Marcia for taking such good care of my dog. Marcia has extensive experience with dogs and knows a lot about them. My dog was reluctant to leave her when I was picking it up. I am very happy with everything and would contact Marcia first if I need someone to look after my dog in the future.”

“Maria was wonderful! Very communicative. A beautiful fenced in yard and two lovely dogs who quickly became my dogs best friends. I think he may have had the best day of his life. ?”

“Sheryl is just about the best dog sitter you could ask for! She made sure my Teddie was super comfortable in her home, gave him constant love and affection, and always made sure there was someone available to play with him. She also gave me daily updates which helped me feel more comfortable while I was away! Will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Karen is a kind, caring person and I am so grateful we found her. She eased my worries leaving my new dog for the first time. Then when my travel plans went awry, she once again eased my concerns and went above and beyond the help care for our dog. Our dog was in great hands, and being well cared for while we were away. Thank you again! You are awesome!”

“We adopted Igor very recently and we knew it would be asking a lot of him to board so quickly. They took such great care of him and his separation anxiety. I would not hesitate to bring Igor back for visits and stays in the future. Thank you again for being so kind!”

About: As a wildlife biologist, I’ve worked hands-on with animals, so I’m calm, observant, and quick to notice small changes in behavior or health. I’m comfortable giving medications and caring for senior, special-needs, anxious, and reactive dogs, plus puppies, cats, and small animals. I grew caring for German Shepherds and spent 11 years with my own cattle dog mix, Topo, through old age and health challenges. I send photos and daily reports, reinforce basic training, and love taking dogs on trail and beach adventures. I work as a scientist during the week, so pet care fits around that schedule. I’m most flexible on Thursdays, Fridays, weekends, and holidays, and I can often do early-morning walks before my day starts. I have some availability Monday through Wednesday near Mashpee. For overnight stays, house sitting, or longer vacations, I can arrange extra availability, so just ask about your dates. I can usually pick up and drop off, and I’ll confirm times with you ahead of each booking. In my home (boarding): Dogs are always supervised and on leash for potty breaks, since my yard isn’t fenced. They get daily walks and playtime, and can sleep in a crate or free roam, whichever they’re used to. I live with my husband and two young children, so boarding is best for dogs who are comfortable around kids, and I supervise all interactions. I’ll follow your feeding, medication, and routine instructions exactly. In your home (house sitting and drop-ins): I stick to your pet’s routine, keep your home secure, and lock up whenever I leave. My background as a wildlife biologist makes me careful and observant, so I’ll notice changes in appetite, energy, or behavior and tell you right away. You’ll get photos and a short update after every visit. For everyone: I’m happy to do a meet and greet first so you and your pet can see how we get along. If anything seems wrong, I’ll contact you immediately and follow your vet’s instructions.
“Our pup always has the best time! It’s so wonderful to know he is so well taken care of when we are gone. I love that Erin is structured with the dogs so they are safe and have fun too. Thank you so much!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and they are truly the best thing to ever happen to me. I am often called upon to dogsit when family & friends go out of town, I have lots of experience house/dog sitting and when the owners return they always are impressed with how their dog and home were taken care of. I have a rescue dog named Finley who is my whole world so you can rest assured I will treat your dog as my own and spoil them with lots of cuddles and belly rubs. I’m a teacher so weekends I’m always free and am usually always with my dog. I’m available most afternoons for drop in visits or to take your dog for a walk. Summers are also a time when I am completely free and would love to be able to care for your dog(s) while you enjoy a summer vacation! I have a fenced in backyard and a very friendly hound mix dog to keep your dog company. She loves to play and wants to be friends with every dog we meet. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.

“Heather and her family took excellent care of our senior dog, Kia while we were on a camping trip. Kia suffers from anxiety and requires medication to keep it at bay. Heather gave her the medication she needed along with increased potty breaks to help her relax as much as she could. Kia loved hanging out with the family boxer and another small hound dog that came to visit one day. This was our first time using Rover.com and it was a very positive experience!”

“Hanna took excellent care of our Goldendoodle Winston. She was very quick to respond to my inquiries and provided great updates on how Winston was doing. Highly recommend Hanna for dog care!”

“Our little guy Pepper had a great stay with Emily and Caroline! They were flexible and happy to accommodate whatever was needed. Quick to communicate and they sent us updates and pictures throughout the week. They have a fenced yard that was perfect for Pepper to play outside. Definitely recommend, thank you both!”

“I can tell by how eager Splash is when she gets out of the car that she loves vacationing with Sergio. My girl is an abandoned rescue with lots of anxiety but loves hanging out with Sergio. Thank you so much!”

“Kevin accommodated my late request for a holiday weekend boarding for my 7 month old puppy, and special pick-up arrangement. Kevin has been responsive to every request and sends photos each time he cares for my pup.”

“Taylor and Tyler were amazing hosts to Orion. He seemed to have an adjustment period with the other dogs and kitties but they were patient, communicative, and extremely understanding of his behavior as he settled in. This is a fun household and I know Orion is buzzing after so much energy around. I’d definitely recommend them for any type of fur baby!”

“I can’t express how grateful I am that we Kathleen. It was the perfect environment for my dog. She and her very nice family took such good care of him that he felt at home. She also sent us many updates and photos so I knew he was happy and safe. I highly recommend her and would rebook! Thank you so much to Kathleen and family because of your great care I didn’t have to worry about him at all!”

“Scout had a wonderful time at Jessica's house. He is a rescue, and is sometimes anxious, but she made him feel right at home. He even made a few doggie buddies along that way that he fun romping with. I'd definitely recommend Jessica to mind your furry family members. Kate and John and Scout”

Jackie & Bill are AMAZING. I am currently out of state and our dog sitters canceled on us last minute. My husband was still home (a commercial fisherman) and had a trip planned leaving us with hours to find a sitter for our 4 mo old mal for multiple days (overnight). Jackie & Bill were incredibly fast and responsive. They were kind and helpful. Our puppy seemed to have SO much fun with the others dogs, Jackie and Bill. My husbands trip was canceled last minute and he was able to pick up our pup early. Jackie & Bill responded quickly and modified our reservation for us. They have a big fenced in yard and cared for our pup like their own. Jackie & Bill worked on some commands, and accommodated our *almost* fully potty trained pup with love! My husband called as soon as he dropped him off to let me know “he’s going to he just fine” and that was the best end to a very scary dog momma day. We travel often and when Grim can’t come with us we will absolutely be rebooking Jackie & Bill for their in-house boarding. I also plan to book just day trips to Jackie & Bills for our pup on days we are on the go! We HIGHLY recommend Jackie & Bill!!!

Oh my gosh Melissa is the best! Our sweet pup gets very scared very easily and Melissa took care of him like he was her own! She sent us picture and video updates and our pup truly enjoyed his time with her! If you are in this area and need a dog sitter, Melissa is the right person for it! She was flexible with our drop off and pick up times and made us feel so comfortable leaving our dog with her!!

Jacquelyn and Bill were great! I could tell they were knowledgeable right when I met them. And they could see that Barry was timid and would need extra attention and they made sure to provide that care. They have a great back yard and I know Barry played a lot because he slept right when he got home. They updated me and sent pictures throughout the whole stay and genuinely cared for our puppy. Would definitely recommend!

Melissa was wonderful with my dog Ella. She kept me updated with pictures and notes every day. Ella looked very happy in all the pictures around the house and during walks. I was happy that her dog and two cats got along very well with Ella. Would definitely book with her again.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
