“Katie watched our cat and did some house sitting for several days, and she did an amazing job! She sent picture updates that gave me so much peace of mind, and he was clearly happy, playful, and well cared for. She followed all his routines, kept everything tidy, and was great at communicating. I’d definitely recommend her and would happily book with her again!! 10/10!”

About: I have 2 small dogs of my own and a cat who I rescued off the streets! My cat was very feral and now she’s so loving. I’ve also took care of my cousins Doberman and pitbull which I love I just love animals and make time for my pets because they keep me motivated. I also go to college so when I’m not home my family helps care for them. In my home I have 2 dachshunds and let them out to potty and watch them to make sure there okay outside before letting them in to eat breakfast. Same thing goes for lunch and dinner. For my cat aka my sisters cat I also feed her when my sister isn’t home.
“This is our third time having Jessica over. She is very conscientious, responsive, prompt and responsible. She works hard to befriend our kitties even though they are not cooperative, and we appreciate that a lot! We feel very safe giving her access to our pets and our home! She is a blessing and we’re very thankful!”

About: I have taken care of our family cat, Pepper, as well as friend's cats since I was 17. After our beloved Pepper passed last October, I wanted to continue caring for other's kitties to keep honor his memory. I can change and clean litter, brush their fur and teeth, clip their nails (depending on comfortability), play with a variety of toys, and provide cuddles as needed. I'm currently studying part-time, so I have a lot of availability to watch over or come visit your kitties! My best days are Monday - Wednesday after 4pm, as well as weekend mornings from 12pm-3pm. This is flexible and other times can be arranged! I'm a patient person who can wait as long as needed if cats need time to warm up, and I respect their boundaries (no picking up or petting if they don't want it, avoiding no-touch areas, etc). If some kitties adhere to a special routine or have special accommodations, I'm more than happy to follow that.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Catalpa
Thank you for the last min booking. We wouldn't have been able to go on our family trip without you. You were awesome with our diabetic cat given her skittishness with strangers and temperamental attitude. Thank you for the constant communication and photos as well.

We have amazing experiences with Parker, our sitter! She carefully followed all the details we provided and clearly used the pictures and notes to give our pets personalized care. We loved receiving regular updates and photos, and it was obvious our pets were happy and well cared for while we were away. We came home to relaxed, content pets and total peace of mind. Highly recommend Parker and will absolutely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
