“I highly recommend Leigh. She took amazing care of my elderly dog. Leigh sends a lot pictures to see your animals day. She left the house near and tidy, she even took my garbage out to the curb without me asking. She is wonderful!”

“Abby was great to work with! Her communication was amazing and she sent pictures of Bentley and kept me up to date with everything. She took excellent care of Bentley as well as my house. She played with him and took him for a walk even though it was cold and windy. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

“Annie was wonderful with our newly adopted, timid dog. She was very patient and kind with our shy girl and we could tell when we got back from a weekend away that Annie had made Fern feel safe and right at home. Annie’s communication and photo updates were awesome. Will def book again!!”

“Matthew took good care of our very large, reactive dog while we were away. He sent us photos daily and was good at communicating if he had any questions. We will definitely be asking Matthew to watch our pup next time we go away.”

About: For most of my life, I’ve been taking care of animals of varying sizes and energy levels. Many of these were shelter rescues, so I’m used to animals with different needs. I’ve also had two years of experience with walking and caring for dogs at the BVSPCA. I asked my dog for a comment and she said, “woof woof,” which I take to mean “very good.” I’m currently at home from college for the summer. I love meeting new animals, so I’ll definitely make sure my schedule works around taking care of your pets! From my own experience, pet sitting can be a very hectic experience which is why I always pay attention to the details. The two things I say most often, when I’m with my dog are, “that’s a tomato… don’t you dare eat it,” and “yo, get out of the bathroom.” Whether I’m walking or feeding my dog, I make sure her environment is safe, stressfree, and filled with love.
“We left our special needs Chihuahua with Libby for almost a week. She took kid care of the house and of our little dog. I thought he would be ballistic when we got home, but you would’ve thought we were only gone for dinner.! Thank you Libby, for taking such good care of Ranger!”

“Mary stayed with our boys for two nights. When we returned, the boys were safe and happy, and the house was clean. We truly appreciate your help. We’ll definitely reach out again in the future.”

About: I have had dogs and all sorts of pets in my house my whole life. I have experience with dogs of all types and ages from training puppies only a couple months old to caring for very old dogs. I constantly take care of neighbors and friends dogs when they’re away and I can’t wait to love on yours as well. 💗 I am a rising senior student-athlete at WCU and have a good amount of during the day most days to walk dogs as well as plenty of time most weekends to dog sit/house sit. I always keep on eye on the pet and in the same room as me if dog/housesitting. I give them plenty of love and attention and let them out and for walks whenever needed and instructed. I will love each and every pet I work with as my own!
“Makayla was a wonderful sitter for our two labs. Her kindness, punctuality and dedication was evident. She kept us up-to-date with video clips and pictures of her stay at our house. I would highly recommend her and hope to request her services in the future.”

“We had a fantastic experience. Our Lucy was clearly well cared for, happy, and loved, and our home was left spotless. Communication was excellent with regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend Gabby and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.”

“Aleia was AMAZING!! Would absolutely use her again for anything our two puppies need. She stayed overnight at our house for a little less than a week and was very communicative, responsible, and of course loving to our pups. Absolutely so issues whatsoever, lovely girl!”

About: Hi! I’m Chassy! My husband and I have called Pennsylvania home for nearly 8 years, and we love opening our home to pets while their families are away. Remix, our friendly and easygoing 8-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, was my very first pet and sparked my love for caring for dogs. My husband grew up with two dogs and a cat, so together we’ve built a home that truly loves animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for the pets of family, friends, and Rover clients, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Remix is happiest spending time with people, whether that’s going for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or taking a nap nearby. He also enjoys having furry friends over to visit. We understand that not every dog wants to socialize, so we’re always happy to keep pets separated if that helps everyone feel more comfortable. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, or simply cuddling up for a nap, we’ll do our best to keep them on their normal routine and help them feel right at home. We only care for a limited number of pets at a time so each one receives plenty of individual attention, love, and care. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so we treat every dog like they’re part of the family while they’re in our care. You’ll receive regular updates and photos throughout their stay, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure both you and your furry family member have a stress-free experience. I work from home, which allows me to provide care and companionship throughout the day. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of opportunities for potty breaks, walks, playtime, and cuddles. I do my best to keep every pet on their normal routine so they feel comfortable and right at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live in a clean, pet-friendly home with our friendly 8-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Remix. While we don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is closely supervised, and dogs are always walked on a leash. If your dog prefers their own space or needs a break from socializing, we’re happy to separate pets as needed. We only care for a limited number of pets at a time so each one receives plenty of individual attention, love, and care.
“We absolutely loved having Ava watch our pups while we were gone for the day. She arrived on time (even with a last minute ask from us), sent lots of pictures and spoiled our pups with lots of love. 100% recommend Ava and we will use her pet sitting services again! Thanks Ava! :)”

About: I live next to a large walking trail and have many years of personal dog care experience. I have a large backyard. I’m currently in nursing school so I have lots of free time to care for your doggie I am currently working part-time and attending nursing school, so when I am not working, I love to take care of dogs! My work and school schedule is flexible especially during the summer! I currently do not have any pets as my dog of 14 years passed away but I do have a large backyard and a walking trail near by that is easily accessible.
“Brady stayed with my three Aussies for ten days. (1 of which is on medications.). They were loved, content, and happy. I got updates throughout the time and pics of them all cuddled up on the sofa with Brady. I can’t thank him enough for the time and care he took with them. I highly recommend.”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs since I was 5. Golden retriever, beagle and many, many kitties! I have also fostered cats! I’ve had bunnies as well. I love to pet sit. I’m currently a college senior with a very open schedule. I work a part time job at a bakery Tues Thurs and Saturday! I only have classes during the mornings and I’m very flexible. “From the moment we met Rebekah, we knew she was the perfect fit. She is kind, personable, incredibly trustworthy, and pays attention to every detail. She took exceptional care of our two fur babies , our koi pond, our birds, garden and our home, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. Every day she sent thoughtful updates and photos, which meant so much to us. She also noticed and handled little things around the house without ever being asked, keeping us informed and resolving issues whenever she could. When we returned home, everything was spotless, well cared for, and our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly loved. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better house and pet sitter. Rebecca is truly outstanding, and we recommend her without hesitation. We will absolutely be using her again!”

“Laura is a gem. We are very selective about who we leave our dog with bc he is such an important part of our family. Laura put as at ease while we were away so we could enjoy our trip. She is so sweet and was excellent with communication the whole time. Our dog loved her too and we will definitely use her again.”

Alec has watched my dog, Trace, at my house twice and has been a great sitter both times. He was able to show up 3 times a day to let Trace out and feed him. He took him on walks every time and provided timely updates with pictures. I would recommend Alec for any dogsitting needs and will definitely look to him in the future!

We are so thankful to Nessa for taking care of our dogs. We found her on very short notice. She went out of her way to. Take a meet and greet possible. We were gone on vacation for 4 days and Nessa took amazing care of our dogs and house. She sent us cute pictures and kept us updated. She genuinely cares about dogs and the people she is helping, it’s very obvious she is a very kind and caring person. We can’t wait to have her back

I learned about Richardo through a trusted source where he came highly recommended (rescue organization I foster for), and have used him twice for several days each time. The bottom line is that he is fantastic with dogs and I highly recommend him!! And I am picky! My dogs need to be with someone I like and trust. I have a somewhat older German Shepard rescue who is fearful of some people and things. My second dog is a young I’d say “spirited” Golden Retriever. He gets both of them. My German Shepard likes Richardo and warmed up to him immediately, which means everything. My dogs were clearly happy while I was gone and I could tell also when I came home. For example, this past week the wild fires in Canada affected the area so they had to be inside. He kept them busy with toys, etc. He communicates well too, which is important to all of us. I highly recommend Richardo!
Gabrielle went above and beyond to take care of our senior dog, who needs a little extra t.l.c. due to illness and anxiety. She was very responsive and responsible and kept us updated and reassured while we were away. She not only took excellent care of our dog, but also kept our home clean and neat and left everything better than she found it. We highly recommend Gabrielle and will not hesitate to hire her again!

Once again, my pups were lucky enough to have Alicia stay with them! I always love the pictures, videos and updates. Every time she sends a video, the tails are wagging, so I know they enjoy having her there. Really gives me piece of mind to know they are so well cared for!

Paige is the BEST! Our dog isn’t the easiest pup, but she handles him with total ease. She’s introduced fun games that keep him occupied and mentally challenged, which has made such a difference. Paige sends several updates each day (with photos!), and we always come home to a house that’s in great shape. We wholeheartedly recommend her to care for your furry kids while you’re away!

Gabby is a delight! This is the second time we've had her over to dog sit for us. Our pup loves her and she's so sweet. We appreciate that she's willing to hang out with Evie for a couple hours while we are out so she doesn't get into any trouble. Thanks again, Gabby!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Caswallen walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Caswallen maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Caswallen choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
