“Jill was absolutely THE BEST with our Sammy. She does what she is supposed to do and so much more. Your babies could not be in better hands than with Jill. I will recommend her to EVERYONE!”

“Amber did an amazing job taking care of our five cats! We have some scaredy cats and some more growly ones and she respected each of their boundaries. We came home to very happy cats. She also handled giving one of our more growly cats a pill each day with no issues. Very happy with Amber as a cat sitter and would recommend using her!”

“Griffin was great! He helped Momo when we needed a sitter last minute. He asked thoughtful questions and really hit it off with Momo during their meet and greet. 10/10 would recommend as a sitter and we’re looking forward to scheduling more visits!”

“This was our second time with Alex, they did an excellent job with our kitty and my guinea pig! Our kitty is pretty shy but after a few visits she started to warm up to them. Now our kitty can get snuggles when we are gone, especially when she's picky on who she likes.”

“Keri and her daughter were very friendly and helpful with taking care of our cat for a week. The pictures were great to see and she was responsive in answering questions. We appreciated them and their service!”

“First time hiring Kelly to look after 3 cats and we knew they would be in good hands after the meet and greet. She provided pictures and detailed updates on how they were behaving (2 cats were recovering from respiratory issues). And our cats took to her quite readily. Great care and peace of mind while on vacation. Highly recommended.”
About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. My family and neighbors have relied on me to walk, and feed their pets. I can't wait to play with your pups! Hi everyone! I’m a recent graduate from Murray State University, and I am now available for dog sitting in the STL area. I have 6 years of dog care experience and am comfortable dogsitting of all ages. I'm available on the weekends. And certain times during the week. If you or someone you know is looking for a responsible, caring, and experienced dog sitter—whether it’s part-time, occasional, or regular—I’d love to help out! I have a fenced yard and a golden doodle that is very friendly. If you have any questions about accommodations for your doggy I am more than welcome to help!
“We are so thankful for Andrea!! She truly loves our fur kiddos and she went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of while we were gone. It truly helped us be able to enjoy vacation knowing they were so well taken care of! She is super responsive and always leaves a note to let us know how they are doing. Our dogs are not the easiest to walk but they got walks everyday! Highly recommend booking Andrea for any pet needs.”

About: Hi! My name is Ashley. I have a ton of experience with animals of all types. I am a stay at home mom, so I have open availability! My daughter has grown up around dogs and cats and even farm animals so she knows boundaries very well and is very respectful of animals. We would love to keep your fur babies! Just send me a message and we will see if I’m the right fit for your furry family member ☺️ We’ve recently moved to Collinsville and we have a huge backyard with a privacy fenced in yard! There’s tons of room for your dog to run around and there’s no fear in them escaping. When dogs are let outside I monitor them the entire time and stay outside with them to make sure they are safe! I care for other pets as if they were my own. I make sure they keep to their daily and night time schedules and I make sure each and every animal is loved on and cared for!
“Valerie was very sweet to my fur babies. She went the extra mile and took wonderful care of them while I was on vacation. I am a rover sitter as well and I would highly recommend her. Thanks Valerie!”

“Mary was amazing! She was communicating well, sending photos snd my followed my instructions perfectly! My baby is usually a tough cookie with strangers, but Mary had him calm and well taken care of in my absence. I came back to him being happy and my home being safe!”

“Kelly was so great with our anxious dog. She reassured me throughout the visit (and before haha). She took things slow with our dog and gave him his space. We are thankful to have her stop by on a weekly basis. Kelly also communicates very quickly and has good availability on her schedule!”

About: I have had a lifelong passion for animals and extensive hands-on experience caring for many different types. Growing up, I helped rescue animals and learned the importance of patience, compassion, and responsible care. I’ve owned and cared for a wide variety of animals ranging from chickens to horses, which gave me experience with different needs, temperaments, and daily routines. My love for animals also led me to participate in 4-H and FFA, where I continued developing my animal care skills and knowledge. Over the years, I’ve cared for multiple dog breeds including a pitbull, shih tzu, poodle, husky, and German shepherd, and I currently have two miniature goldendoodles that I walk and care for every day. Through these experiences, I’ve become very comfortable working with animals of all sizes and personalities, and I truly enjoy providing them with attentive, loving, and reliable care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and availability. I work evenings at my other job, which allows me to provide pet care services during the morning and afternoon. This flexible schedule makes it easy for me to walk, feed, and check in on animals one to three times per day as needed. I also have Thursdays off and most weekends available, giving me even more time to dedicate to longer walks, playtime, and consistent care. Because I already walk my own dogs daily, incorporating additional pets into my routine is something I am comfortable with, and I am committed to providing reliable, attentive care that fits each animal’s individual needs. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of toys and space for them to play and stay active. I make sure they receive lots of attention, regular potty breaks, fresh water, and follow any feeding or care routines provided. When caring for pets in your home, I focus on keeping them comfortable in their familiar environment by playing with them, giving them plenty of attention, and maintaining their normal routine. I also make sure they are cleaned up well, have fresh water at all times, and that their space is kept tidy so they feel happy, safe, and well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
