My background includes more than six years of kennel experience, veterinary clinic experience as a room attendant and veterinary assistant, professional pet grooming, and dog training. I also make sure I have time to learn their normal routine and help them feel comfortable while they’re away from home. I’ve worked professionally with animals for over 20 years, so safety is extremely important to me. I pay attention to body language, behavior, stress signals and how animals interact with each other. I don’t believe in forcing an animal to immediately feel comfortable in a new environment. I give them time, space and patience to adjust while keeping their routine as familiar as possible.

We live in a quiet neighborhood near two parks if your dogs prefer walks. We can administer medications and tend to minor medical issues like stitches/Elizabethan collars.

About: I love all dogs (sometimes more than people)! I have taken care of dogs up to 150lbs for years. I regularly go for dog walks and have treats always on hand. I take note of food and other allergies while making sure they get as many cuddles as possible! I work from home 85% of the time and the times I go in are 3rd shift working no longer that 5 hours from home. I have a fenced in yard for quick potty breaks and regular walking areas including open grass. I have toys and treats galore! I do have a small and large cage available, additional harnesses/leashes, beds and food bowls. I take very seriously and food or other allergies as well as furniture/behavior rules per the pet parents.

Dog beds, blankets, lick mats etc. I also wipe down my dog’s paws everytime she comes in from outside. If you like, you may bring whatever pampering materials you have.

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have a deep love for both dogs and cats. I’ve owned four dogs over the years and currently have three rescue pups of my own—including one foster “fail” (lesson learned: don’t foster puppies 😊). I’ve taken basic dog training classes and have worked with trainers over the years, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal like they’re my own—with patience, care, and lots of love. I have volunteered at animal shelters and have fostered many dogs over the years. I've learned a lot about dog behavior through that experience. I have given cats and dogs oral medication and have administered insulin shots to dogs. I require at least a week notice for all NEW client boarding and doggy daycare requests to allow for a meet and greet. I also require proof of current DHPP, Rabies and Bordatella vaccines before booking anyone. Please send those records with your request. Thanks! **during the fall semester (Aug 24-Dec 13), I am on campus for 8 hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Those days dogs get a 15 min break midday while I am away from my dog sitter. I work from home most of the time. I am usually not away from home for more than 4 hours. During the fall semester, I am away on T/R for about 8 hours a day. I have a large fenced yard and 3 dogs at home. Two of my dogs are seniors and one is almost 3 years old with lots of playful energy. I also have a large finished attic space that I use for doggy play, especially when it's super hot/cold outside.
