We have been using Kara for a few weeks now for dog walks and she has been great. We have 2 pit bull breeds with a combined weight of 130lbs. Kara has done a fantastic job walking them both and we feel comfortable with her to handle them when they get excited. She is timely and communicative which we appreciate!

About: I myself currently have 4 cats and 1 gecko and grew up with tons of pets including dogs, rabbits, and birds. I also raised and sold livestock at the fair. I love caring for animals and am currently going to college to be a veterinarian. I currently work a part time job but want to find something else that I’m more passionate about and that has some sort of involvement in the career I want. Im very respectful of an animal’s space and boundaries and have fairly well success working with more stubborn animals that require patience. I love getting to know each individual pet and learning what works best for them.

About: I have been caring for animals since the age of 10, developing a deep understanding of pet behavior, needs, and well-being over the years. In addition to my extensive hands-on experience, my primary profession in international pet transportation has equipped me with a unique skill set that sets me apart from other sitters. Through my work, I have built strong relationships with veterinarians and established access to reliable resources for emergency situations, ensuring pets are always in safe and capable hands. I am highly experienced in handling dogs with anxiety and specialize in helping them become calmer and more comfortable through structured care and basic training techniques. I am also confident in caring for puppies and senior pets, understanding the extra attention, patience, and specific routines they require. My background allows me to provide not just supervision, but a safe, structured, and stress-free environment tailored to each pet’s individual needs. ***PETS MIGHT BE POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WISH YOUR PET NOT TO BE POSTED! THANK YOU Pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily routine, as my primary work in pet relocation requires me to be home and actively caring for animals throughout the day. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, timely feeding, regular exercise, and attentive monitoring of each pet’s well-being. Because I am home nearly 24/7, pets in my care receive a high level of attention, structure, and companionship. My schedule is naturally built around their needs, ensuring they are comfortable, safe, and well-cared for at all times. I provide a safe, structured, and clean environment for pets in my care, whether in my home or a client’s home. My property features a spacious, fully fenced yard with a secure gate, allowing pets to exercise and play safely under supervision. For added security and peace of mind, the home is equipped with surveillance cameras. I accommodate each pet based on the owner’s preferences and the pet’s needs. Crate accommodations are available for pets who are crate-trained or when owners prefer that added level of safety and routine. Cleanliness and hygiene are a top priority. All areas are sanitized daily using pet-safe cleaning products to ensure a healthy environment. I maintain a consistent routine that includes feeding, exercise, rest, and attentive monitoring to keep pets comfortable, secure, and well cared for at all times.

My dog has given her paw & wags of approval to ReShan. As a rescue, she takes her time to give trust & affection, & she has given both to ReShan. He has helped with walking & boarding my dog, who is large, strong & not well-trained. ReShan has her walking nice on the leash, giving me hope that I can also achieve it. He treats us both with love & respect. I am so thankful for his involvement in our lives. Thank you, ReShan, for your loving care of my best buddy.

About: I’ve grown up with a big group of animals my whole life including, dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens. I grew up on a farm in clovis as well as a farm in Oregon where I took care of the animals we had. I’ve been known to be very trustworthy and reliable to my friends and family for pet and housesitting sometimes watching more than one pet at a time while they are out of town! I’m a student right now living on my own. I currently have open availability and i’m looking for a full time job to do while using my passion of pet care to keep me afloat! 🤍 I don’t offer in home services due to having tow cats of my own and too many problems with cohabitation with other animals. But in your home I can adhere to any schedule provided for your furry friends incuding but not limited to, walks, playtime, kennel rounds, backyard fun, medicine, and cuddles.

About: (Provided details for breeds of pets I cannot watch at the bottom) (Note for new families: I am able to do on base and off base services) I love furry, feathery, and scaly friends to the moon and back! I have an open schedule, and I try to be as accommodating as possible. I grew up with what I feel is almost every type of animal imaginable, so nothing gets past me. I have also grown up around many litters of puppies, so I have experience bottle-feeding and attending to needs. I also have dealt with animals diagnosed with dementia and other health problems they just need a little extra love and time is all! I also have handled disabled pets including missing appendages and paralysis. I love being able to give pets the attention and time they need and deserve while the owners can be worry-free. Dog breeds I cannot watch in my home are pit bulls, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, chow chows, and wolf hybrids. This is just part of the navy’s housing policies. Pet care is my priority! I currently don’t have a job since I just moved to this area a couple of months ago so I am completely available to give furry friends the attention they need. Since I am not in a position to take pets into my own home I try to be my absolute best wherever I am! I am a big advocate for respect not only to others but their property as well so when working with clients and their homes I hold myself to a standard of leaving everything as it was unless specifically told otherwise. Doing this can also help me build trust with the pet simply as an acknowledgment that I understand that it is their territory and I am in their space.

About: I have been house and pet sitting consistently for 6 years now. Friends and family members have made me their go-to pet sitter when they’re away from home to walk, feed play, and give any necessary supplements and medications to their furry friends. I am avale to provide whatever you already do at home with your pet as well as any further requests! As a college student and soon-to-be graduate, I am fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to take time during the week and weekends to house and pet sit. I work a fully-remote job that also gives me the freedom to do additional jobs such as this. I have grown up with all kinds of animals from cats to dogs to fish to hamsters! Having the experience of owning a wide variety of pets has allowed me to understand what they need as well as lets any clients know that I am comfortable and accepting of any pet they may need my services for.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Caruthers. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Caruthers.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Caruthers. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
