“Nacho is a very selective Chihuahua who immediately adored Nicole. He exhibited none of the signs of anxiety he generally does when he meets someone new (or even someone he has met several times). He accepted Nicole as one of his special people and behaved as well (if not better!) for her than he does at home. Nicole sent us photos of Nacho napping, taking walks and looking completely adorable while he was in her care; we could see how content he was and were able to have peace of mind while we were traveling. Nacho will definitely be staying with Nicole the next time we need a dog sitter.”

“Mariah was amazing, I don’t usually leave my dogs with someone I don’t know and was very nervous. I have a 13 year old Shichon with cancer and a 1 year old Shichon. From the minute my dogs got there they seemed happy. I received pictures and videos everyday which put me more at ease. It was like they had their own vacation. I would highly recommend Mariah and will be using her next year when I come to the beach.”
“Our 2 pups had the absolute best time with Dee! It was our puppies first time away with a sitter and Dee treated her like her own! She also took great care of our senior dog. She sent us a ton of pictures and videos and put us at ease and made the experience super smooth and easy!”
“We were nervous to drop our 12 yr old dog with a sitter, but Kate eased our minds immediately by sending us frequent photos and updates over the 4 days we were away. We will definitely use Kate’s services again!!”

“Mary Sue did a wonderful job watching Schatzi, as always! She even supplied us with chicken and rice because our dog ended up having some loose stool towards the end of the stay. We really appreciate her help and caring attitude. Thank you!”

“A great Wildwood /Cape May vacation was had by All Dolly appeared happy and relaxed after her stay with Janet. I think she enjoyed the attention and company (both human and canine). No signs of anxiety or stress. Great job, Janet and friends!”

“Jessica was great. She responded very quickly on very short notice. Felt very good dropping Leif off and Leif looked great picking him up. I would use this boarder again in the future.”

“Megan is a wonderful pet sitter! It’s clear how much she loves our pup and makes sure he gets lots of attention and play time. She’s great with communication and always responsive and flexible. Leaving our pup with Megan gives my wife and I peace of mind. We highly recommend her!”

“Michelle was very attentive to our dog Mickey and took him on many walks which they both enjoyed. We loved getting lots of photos of Mickey and, when we picked him up, he was brushed so nicely that he almost looked groomed.”

“Our 5 month old pup Benny loved his time with Mike! Mike did a great job of making Benny and I both feel comfortable. You can definitely tell he has a great love for dogs and Benny loved him immediately. This was our first experience leaving Benny so naturally we were a bit nervous, but Mike sent constant updates and photos to let us know how he was doing. Will definitely use Mike again in the near future!”

“Paula helped us out with a last minute booking, she was incredible! Quick and clear communication! From my mom: “she's amazing sent me about 4 pictures letting me know he was such a good boy and getting along with other dogs. I was so happy to have her do that for me. Really happy with her! Definitely gonna use her again” thanks Paula!!!”
“My 2 girls were so happy with Sandee, i could not have asked for better care of my two spoilt pups! I am very grateful to Sandee for taking my girls for the afternoon, which freed us up to do the necessary things related to purchasing a home. I won't hesitate to go back to Sandee and trust her with my precious fur babies. Thank you Sandee!!!!”

“Kelly was amazing!! She took Reyna last minute when we went to the beach. Her backyard was very spacious and dogs were very friendly. Reyna had a great time having playmates. We will def come back and I will recommend her services to any of my friends visiting town of Rehoboth/Dewey Beach.”

“Kelley was so easy going and great with communication before and during the dogs stay. She was very friendly and accommodating. She had a big room for them to roam and a fenced yard to keep them safe when out for potty breaks. She had a whole set up for them with a raised dog bed, XLarge crate, raised food dishes, and a large water dish in the big safe room they were in. Will be using her again in the future!”

“Bob and Susan are the best. They truly care about their four legged guests! Knowing that our dog was loved and cared for just as we would do, put us,at ease while we were away for the week. They both got to know our dog and his routine. We looked forward each day to the daily pictures and texts. Thank you for the great care you gave Baxter while we were away. I think he misses you and his buddy Bert!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
