We've had Bonnie watch our babies twice now, and we have her booked for our next trip. She is the best! Our dogs are happy and content when we come home, could not ask for a better sitter.

My wife and I booked Linda for a 5 night "overnight" service, and we have to say that we feel incredibly positive about her services. This was our first time booking with her since we'd been having a very difficult time finding an overnight sitter we could trust, and she ended up blowing us away with how wonderfully she took care of our dog, cat, and home while we were away. It was like she'd already known our fur babies for years, and that says so much considering our dog's high separation anxiety. And all the photos of our boys while we were away were wonderful!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Linda to anyone looking for an overnight sitter or even just to do drop ins.

Taylor works from home keeping your pups exercised mentally and physically. She is passionate about the partnership built between a person and animal. Angel is full time with the pets give undivided attention 💕 It is our goal to stay relevant in the pet industry and continue with our dog trainings so we can be more of an asset to pet parents. For safety, we follow a prevention plan. Evaluation any potential hazards and continuously read body language. It’s always better to Prevent a problem than to fix it.

Natalia was truly the BEST Rover sitter we could have ever hoped for. From the moment we left, she was incredibly communicative, responsive, thoughtful, and caring — and she treated our home and fur babies like they were her own. We have three dogs and a cat, and every single one of them was so loved and well cared for while we were away. One of our pups ended up having an unexpected flea issue and was super itchy while she was staying with them, and Natalia immediately stepped in and handled everything with so much care and compassion. She bathed all three dogs, made sure they were comfortable, and kept us updated every step of the way. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such capable and loving hands. On top of taking amazing care of the animals, she went completely above and beyond with our home. She did laundry, swept, cleaned, remade the bed, and left the house better than we left it. You can genuinely tell she is the kind of person who respects and cares for other people’s space. Natalia is kind, trustworthy, attentive, responsible, and an absolute pleasure to work with. We felt so comfortable having her in our home and caring for the members of our family we love most. I honestly cannot recommend her highly enough. Anyone looking for a sitter who will love your pets deeply, communicate wonderfully, and care for your home with incredible respect should book her immediately. She is an absolute gem and we would trust her again in a heartbeat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Terry was great! We were visiting Florida from out of town and needed a sitter for 8+ hours with fairly short notice. Our sweet pup isn't always a fan of strangers - especially when we're leaving him with them. Terry was able to win him over - and even sent me a video of her giving him a belly rub! Not only was she willing to stay with him the entire time, but she brought him two toys - one being a stuffed alligator which has become his favorite since we've returned home! Terry clearly loves animals and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to spoil their pet while they're away - she's Dudley approved!

About: I have cared for domestic pets of all kinds - cats, dogs (all sizes), birds, turtles, lizards, etc - as a sitter and for fun. My aunt (whom my mother lives with) is a dog trainer as well as a breeder (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) 25+ yrs. I grew up volunteering my time doing puppy evaluations, crate-training, potty-training, etc. I frequently babysit my friends pets while they are away, and have cats of my own at the house! I recently resigned my job as a firefighter, and have extra time in my schedule to have a side gig I care about. Walks, hikes, runs and swims if the dog is active! I understand each pet as it’s own needs and individual personalities. I care for other pets as they were my own, and I hope to make a great fit as a sitter for you! I am available 24/7 for pet care (overnight or drop-ins) as I recently resigned from my job to move to FL with my partner. I am currently looking for a full-time job. So call me! I live in an apartment complex with a large, fenced in dog park. It’s location is safe, next to a middle school. We have plenty of empty space to watch pets over night in separate rooms, or let them roam free depending on their personal needs. Additionally, the complex is located next to an outdoor recreation area with walking trails and sidewalks.

About: I have worked as a pet sitter for 3 years taking care of various types of animals in people's homes before moving to Florida. I walked, fed, cleaned and documented everything that was done. We provided very personal service to our clients. I am flexible and available anytime. When not pet sitting I am taking care of our animals on our small farm, this allows me to keep a very open schedule. I treat everyone's home with absolute respect and courtesy. I am very comfortable with alarm and garage codes and document everything I do with your pet. I am willing to take short videos with the time spent with your pet to ensure you see their happiness.

About: I’ve been around pets ever since I was a baby. When my mom would take me to visit my grandparents who we now live with, their chihuahua Bandit would climb into my basket while I was asleep & sleep with me. When I was 4 I got my first ever puppy Jacks! Since then I’ve had 6 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, & more! This doesn’t include pets my aunts & dad’s friends have had/have that I’ve given pets & played with during family gatherings. I absolutely adore cats!! Whether they’re an adorable kitten or a sweet elder I love them so much! While I don’t have experience with cats outside of petting some outdoor cats I’ve always wanted a kitten/cat! When I move out I’ll for sure be getting one or two. I’d love the chance to take care of any cats, even if it means cleaning their litter box. With our most recent dog, Oliver, I used to train him & play with him multiple times a day until my grandmother took over ownership of him. I don’t smoke or do anything of the like, I’m not a party girl. I much prefer a night in either studying or playing video games. I’m unemployed without a drivers license so I’m available throughout the week. The exception being my mom is my ride. She gets off of work at 5pm Monday-Friday so preferably a pet sit will start & end on the weekends. Unless you’re good with me arriving or leaving sometime after 5pm. I’ve pet sat multiple times over the years, especially since I moved in with my grandparents at 8 with my mom & they’ve had chihuahua’s since I was a baby! Currently we have 3 chihuahua’s who I’ve looked over plenty of times & even bathed. Recently in February my grandmother was hospitalized for 2 weeks & as my mom & grandfather worked I was in charge of feeding the dogs breakfast & dinner, letting them out every 2-3 hours, playing with them, & cleaning up any accidents.

Brianne was amazing with our chaotic, nutty furry bunch! We left her with our trio of cats and the dynamic duo of dogs, for a total of five. The first thing we noticed was how all of our furry ones were drawn to her. Animals just know if a person is good. Being away is hard, but it feels better when you have someone you can trust to love you while you're gone. My wife and I had complete peace of mind with her caring for our babies. Brianne is the BEST!

About: I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, including puppies and seniors, as well as northern breeds like Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and wolf-dog hybrids. I'm highly observant of behavior and body language, recognize early signs that something may be wrong, and provide attentive, individualized care. I'm also comfortable administering medications and following specific care instructions to help keep pets healthy, safe, and comfortable.. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I'm able to plan my day around a pet's needs. Whether that's potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication, or keeping a consistent routine, I have the flexibility to provide reliable care. I enjoy staying active and am happy to accommodate each pet's energy level, from walks and jogging to playtime, enrichment, or simply relaxing and keeping them company. Every pet is different, and I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I review all care instructions with the owner before they leave to ensure I understand their pet's routine and needs. I make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure, follow all safety instructions, and stay attentive to the pet's behavior and surroundings. My priority is keeping both the pet and the home safe while they're in my care.

FAQs for House Sitting - Camp Ocala

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 933 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Camp Ocala. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Camp Ocala walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Camp Ocala maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Camp Ocala choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Camp Ocala. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
