About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 16 and have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I currently own two Cane Corsos and grew up with pit bulls, so I’m very comfortable with strong, large, and high-energy breeds as well as smaller companions. I understand how important routine, consistency, and trust are for dogs while their owners are away. I make it a priority to follow your pet’s schedule closely and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in your absence. I’m also happy to provide regular photo updates so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I currently work part time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide reliable drop-in visits for your pup. I’m happy to work around your needs to ensure your dog receives consistent, attentive care. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I follow all feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide to ensure consistency and stability. I always make sure fresh water is available, their space is clean, and they’re getting the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I’m comfortable administering medications if required and pay close attention to their behavior and overall well-being during each visit. I treat both your pet and your home with the same level of care and respect I would expect for my own. I’ll also send photo updates and messages so you can feel reassured and connected while you’re away
About: Hi! My name is Ella, and I’m a college student with experience caring for both children and animals. I currently work as a nanny. So I’m very used to being responsible, dependable, and attentive. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have experience helping care for dogs and cats through pet sitting, dog walking, feeding, playtime, and check-ins. I also have cats of my own and genuinely love spending time with animals. I have a ragdoll cat named sugar and she is my everything. I will make sure to treat your pet as if they were my sugar, I know how important pets are. I’ll always make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away 😊 I currently work part-time as a nanny, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets attention and care throughout the day. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting during weekdays and weekends. I’m reliable, responsive, and happy to work with different routines and schedules to make sure your pets are comfortable and well cared for! I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medications, and any special instructions provided. I’m very attentive during walks and visits and make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention and playtime. I understand how important trust is when caring for someone’s pets. And I’ll always treat them with patience, kindness, and care like they’re my own
About: My first pet sitting job was of 2 Boston Terriers at 9, since then I’ve cared for dogs, cats, horses, ducks, chickens, donkey, etc! I have been called a horse whisperer and my special talent in life is that I can get any introverted, sad, scared, animal to come out of it’s shell and feel at ease. I have taken care of farm animals in Nova Scotia, I’ve dog sat in Sweden, I’ve taken care of animals in CA, and I just love animals in general. I am extremely flexible, I work from home and have a sweet dog of my own who is playful and gentle with other animals. I, my husband or even our family as a whole take care of our animals first thing in the morning and at night, and I take time throughout the day to give them love and attention. I am home most of the time, I have lots of space to take your dog out to play (set up like a park but not fenced in, I can take them on a leash as needed) I have a kennel if you need or can set up yours. If you have a cat, my dog is used to them, though she does have an energetic greeting but we can separate them. I’m also happy to come visit your darlings at their home and make them feel comforted and ease. I’m one of those crazy animal ladies who likes to talk to animals, so I’ll soothe them and let them know you’ll be home soon!

“We booked Erika for drop in visits while we were out of town for 10 days and could not have been more pleased. She stayed in touch by sending messages and pictures and I was able to enjoy our trip more knowing she was there taking care of things. She went above and beyond by getting our very shy dog Sherpa to become her friend. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting peace of mind while they are away.”

This required a schedule that was easy for me to pick up on!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
