“We recently moved to the area and could no longer make it home on a lunch break to let our dogs out. We are so thankful we found Emily, she has been so great to our dogs and they get SO excited when it’s their days with her. It now gives us peace of mind knowing they are in such great hands while we are at work. Thank you Emily for your quick responses, and for the exceptional care you give our pups. 🐶⭐️”

“Julia has been walking Cash for along time now :) she is always accommodating and goes the extra mile! He is so happy to see her everytime. You won’t be disappointed if you pick her for your fur babies”

“we are the luckiest to have samana. her genuine care, compassion, and kindness she gives to our fur babies is immeasurable. I could "fan girl" over her all day, every day. she follows our training requests, she keeps us updated regularly, and reassures us that goose & gob are being taken care of. our pup is slightly reactive and she has taken on the challenge with stride, we are forever grateful.”

About: Hi, my name is Jordan. I am a Registered Veterinary Technician. Ever since a young age I have always loved animals, I've grown up around animals and now I work with them. Walks, playing amd cuddles will obviously be part of the package but I also have experience giving medication (oral and injections), bathing and nail trims. I am available for bookings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I work a shifting 8am–8pm schedule, allowing me to accommodate early morning drop-ins before work or evening care after my shift ends. Midday lunch visits are also possible depending on how close you live to my workplace! Thursdays and weekends are my days off, offering fully open and flexible availability. Please reach out for further scheduling details so we can find the perfect time for your pet! My primary goal is to maintain your pet's normal routine while ensuring their health and safety. For dog walks, I provide structured, energetic exercise tailored to your dog’s age and stamina, using positive reinforcement. During drop-in visits for both dogs and cats, I handle all feeding, refresh water bowls, and perform meticulous litter box or yard cleanups. Because of my medical background, I monitor behavioral cues and precisely administer any required medications (oral, topical, or injections). Every visit finishes with plenty of love, playtime, and a detailed update sent straight to you.
About: I’ve had my best friend, Ash, since I was 10. Almost 12, he’s as lively as ever! I had also adopted Dart last year, a 10 year old pointer with anxiety - I have had the privilege of watching him grow and bloom into his instincts and training! I’ve also worked professionally with dogs for over two years and specifically would be tasked to handle dogs with special needs, whether that be behavioural or medical. I can connect with dogs and read them incredibly easy. I’m very patient as well and have no fear when dealing with less trusting or “feistier” dogs. I also understand how busy life can get, especially when unexpected hurdles come your way. I am especially offering services for pet parents who are looking for super last minute help. I’m more than happy to share a more specific version of my availability if you think you’ll need last minute care in the near future. I also especially love senior dogs and can manage their specific health and behavioural needs with ease. :) Hi! I’m a student with two pups of my own. I would love to help others struggling with busy schedules give their pups the best life they deserve! Here are the times I'm UNavailable during the week starting September 2026: Dog Walking or Drop-in: - Unavailable Monday and Friday Evenings - Unavailable MWF from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Unavailable TH from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. * I may be able to compromise and make an exception if you need my services during these hours OR if you live near Lewis Estates/University of Alberta campus, but nothing super long term until the new year. Other than the times listed above, I have pretty open availability but would be best for routine drop-ins or walking in the mornings, early evenings, and weekends. If you need me there during full work hours, please still reach out and explain your situation - I may be able to accommodate and I'm more than willing to talk about if our schedules work! I am also more than okay staying the night as long as I'm okay to pop in and out during the day to run errands as well! I work around the schedule of my two dogs, a couple of university classes and occasional 4-hour shifts at tutoring centre. I’d be great for last-minute bookings, most especially for dog walking, overnights, and drop-ins. :) ** I will accept short-term boarding under certain circumstances (typically if you’re experiencing an emergencies and need short term pet care ASAP). This is not preferred for me as I have a full house of dogs, hence the pricing. I’m very respectful of others spaces and will be able to recognize and learn the routines of your pup pretty quick! Special instructions are no stranger to me, so ask away!! I want to replicate their regular routine as much as possible to cause the least amount of stress. :) I value and put the time into understanding your pets boundaries and have no qualms with creating a safe, comforting environment through soft tones, words, and actions, and most importantly: patience.
About: I've been lucky to have had lots of pets growing up. I love to walk especially with a Fur-Baby. Always time for some good ole snuggles and love rubs I'm currently working part time so I will have lots of time for walks and snuggles with your pets. My home is a smoke free environment I have a fenced yard. I don't have pets of my own. My goal is for everyone of my pet visitors will feel like they are in a Home Away From Home
About: I’ve spent years dog sitting and also have experience working with foster dogs, which has taught me how to adapt to different temperaments, needs, and routines. I’ve also cared for dogs with special needs, including vision loss and seizure conditions, so I’m comfortable staying calm, attentive, and responsive in more sensitive situations. I’ve always had a natural connection with dogs, they tend to trust me quickly, and I’m often told I have a bit of an “animal whisperer” touch. Whether it’s helping a nervous dog feel safe, keeping up with an energetic pup, or giving extra patience to senior dogs, I focus on making each dog feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to dedicate to your pets. I’m able to provide attentive care, regular walks, and lots of love, making sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I care for pets in a calm, safe, and loving environment where their comfort and routine always come first. I make sure to follow each pet’s individual needs closely, giving them gentle attention, consistency, and patience so they feel secure and at ease while their owners are away. I treat every pet like my own “special creature,” focusing on building trust and making sure they feel protected, not just supervised.
About: I was 11 years old when my family got our first dog. I completed obedience classes with her and have had pets ever since! I love animals and will take care of your fur babies as I would my own. I’m currently working 4-5 days a week. I’m available for house sitting most weekends and can stop in during the week, mostly in the morning or early afternoon. Dog walking or pet sitting available. I cannot bring pets into my home as I have 2 cats. I’m able to stop in to check in on your pets and stay with them!

I live on a small acreage and own 2 dogs, 3 cats, 3 Rabbits, 2 tortoises, chickens and ducks. I have also volunteered for several animal rescues. I am comfortable with all cats, dogs, kittens, puppies, rabbits, chickens, ducks and reptiles. I am comfortable with giving medications, injections and other medical treatments. I am mostly available on Thursdays but also some Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as well as evenings. I am mainly looking for casual work. I will treat your animals with love and care. I have training in fear free animal interactions and am very experienced reading animal body language.
“Karley was amazing with my Shepard, she came by for a meet and greet to get to know him prior to taking him out, she was great to keep in contact, and updated me on how he did on his walk afterwards!”

About: I have been working with animals for as long as I can remember. My mom and I fostered dogs when I was young and I started dog walking and pet sitting on my own around 10 years old. I have experience with senior dogs and puppies as well as administering medication. My own family dog was a pet therapy dog and I did the training to be a certified handler with her. I currently am in University and work part time but I set up my schedule to be able to check in between classes or in between school and work. I am very flexible and willing to accommodate whatever your pets needs are if that means multiple walks a day or playing in the yard. For walks I have experience working with leash pullers so that’s not an issue. I am used to having to provide care on a set schedule or a more flexible one as well.
“Cristine is great with our dogs! Our youngest dog usually takes forever to warm up to someone new, but within minutes she was going in for kisses and pets. They were nice and sleepy after their walk!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stony Plain choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
