“Great communication. Shona is very kind, communicative, and punctual, send message and videos of Polly every day. Polly loves to play with other dogs and enjoys great company which I greatly appreciate! Shona clearly loves pets and Polly is spoiled. Thanks for looking after Polly! Kind and easy to work with Shona!”

“Irene is an excellent trustworthy sitter for your furry family members. She sat our little 4 pound rather needy terrier and ensured she was safe, looked after and happy. I would highly recommend Irene to anyone looking for a reliable sitter who cares about the details. We've booked another dogsitting stay with her soon.”

“This is our first time using a boarding service through Rover and we’ve had some troubles with boarding companies in the past so we were a bit nervous leaving our pit bull. We were very happy and grateful that we managed to book with a star rated sitter like Anuja over Christmas. We were able to set up a meet and greet to make sure our pup and her got along and it was evident from that meeting that everything would be good. For the boarding itself, she was very good at sending us daily updates with pictures which was very reassuring and it looked and sounded like our pup had a great time. Overall 10/10 experience and would definitely book with Anuja again!”

“Nicole and her husband were great! There was daily communication and updates with photos and videos. They cared for my lab, Phoebe, like she was their own. Gave her a bath and showered her with love! I definitely recommend them.”

“Holli was so wonderful with my 10-year-old rescue dog Cubby! We had a lovely meet and greet, and I booked for one overnight before I will be away for a week as my pup is older and a bit sensitive. Will be booking with her again asap! She has an amazing fenced in yard, sent great updates, and administered my dog's meds. Was looking for a boarder who would be home a lot and had calm, caring energy - and Holli was the perfect fit. Cubby was happy as a clam when I picked her up :)”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we could not be happier! Chelsea was absolutely wonderful. She kept us updated all day with adorable pictures of our dog, which gave us total peace of mind. She took our pup for several walks and showed genuine love and affection the entire time. It is clear she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be booking with her again and recommend to our friends / anyone looking for a dog sitter!"”

“Kristina and her family were amazing! I could tell that our pup truly had a great time. Kristina sent many pictures every day! It was great to see that they were having such a good time. We rarely leave our pup behind when we go on adventures, so it was great to know that she was loved and a part of their family while we were gone. We would totally use Kristina and her family again!”

“Anna provided wonderful care to our dog over a weekend. She took our dog for walks and provided great updates with photos of the walking route. Thank you Anna for the careful attention you paid to our treasured.pet 🙏❤️”

“Tracy was just as expressed in her add. A wonderful dog lover. She has her own little Shaylee, and grandchildren who are very gentle with dogs. Maggie was happy to be there and well cared for. I received texts and photos about her stay.”

“Wonderful Dog sitters, they sent so many pictures and updated my family on how our dogs day was daily! I won’t hesitate to make them my first choice when I need a sitter again!”

“This was our first time using rover and we had the best experience! Michelle is amazing! She was incredible with our dog. Would highly recommended booking with Michelle.”

“Oliver stayed with Ana for two days/one night while i was away for work. I received many photo and video check ins from Ana throughout his stay which made me feel less nervous about leaving him with a new person. Oliver had a great time with Ana and I will definitely book with her again!”

“Such a calm and loving environment for our pup. Thank you Vanessa & family for taking such great care of Ringo! We appreciated the many photos and updates while we were apart. Thank you!”

“Katrina and Ryan are AMAZING! I'm so grateful to have found them. I can't say enough good things. They are friendly, caring, and easy to book with. They have a great backyard and their dog Rocky is such a sweetie pie and immediately made my dog feel comfy. The pups getting to hang out and co-exist is exactly what my dog loves to do. They sent lots of updates with pictures and let me know Cubby was happy and what she was up to (she's a 10 year old rescue who can be a bit tentative and takes a minute to relax into a new space so this made me feel so at ease). Have booked in with them multiple more times! Cubby adores them.”

“Andrea was so great with my Clover! She sent me pictures and updates all the time and is clearly a true animal lover. I can always tell how Clovers experience was somewhere based on how stressed she is on the day of pick up. She seemed only minimally stressed (normal) and was very playful. I would definitely bring Clover back for another stay.”

“Robin accepted my last-minute booking request just 8 minutes before drop-off, and I couldn’t be more grateful! Throughout the day, she kept me updated with photos and treated Blue like he was her own dog. Blue had an amazing time playing with Cashew all day. He came back home happy, tired, and clearly had a blast. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was being so well cared for. I would absolutely book with Robin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter!”

“Our dog Ollie seemed to be super happy when we picked him up! They made sure to ask for any instructions for our dog and had plenty of space to separate Ollie from another dog they were watching. They let Ollie outside several times which he loves and they were great people to contact they answered right away and were friendly! I would definitely book with them again!”

“Michael & Charlene were great with our dogs for day care. Coming from out of the country, you never know what to expect from strangers, even through Rover. After our meet & greet, we were totally comfortable leaving our kids there. We didn't ask for walks specifically, but our dogs got walks every day, and got to enjoy their beautiful fenced back yard with lush grass and a water feature. On our first morning dropoff, Michael greeted us with a special human treat: delicious homemade muffins! We had to stay out later than we said we would one night, but Michael handled it in stride. Communication was great every step of the way! Looking forward to our next visit to Canada and bringing our dogs to Michael & Charlene's place again!”

“Jason was unbelievably kind, and willing to take on our girl with high anxiety who can be a bit challenging, without hesitation. He is very responsive, and I never had any doubts about trusting him with our girl. We were travelling to the area, but if we’re ever back in Edmonton, I would 100% use Jason again!”

“Harika is an excellent sitter. I contacted her to dog sit (with drop off in 30 minutes) and she responded promptly and accepted my request. Then later I asked for an hour extension and she accommodated me. I ended up being an extra half hour. During my dog’s stay (5 1/2 hrs) she sent me many pictures, fed and walked my dog. The home is very nice and clean. I would absolutely request services again when I have to be in Edmonton. Thanks again!”

About: I have been taking care of pets since i was 15. I moved to Australia in 2017 for my tertiary education where dog sittings and pet onboarding was my job as a student. My parents are dog trainers back home and i have been working with them since i was a kid My husband Narv and i are both working from home and our schedule is pretty flexible which provides us with the best opportunities to be with our pets. We reside at kinglet garden with a 1-minute walk leading to the big community park. We take small, medium and large-sized dogs under as we find they are the best fit for our lifestyle. Our dog, Pumba, a Pomeranian loves to play, nap, cuddle and make new friends. So we decided to become hosts! Our love for dogs makes this a lot of fun. Since we both work from home, we have plenty of free time to walk your pet and spend time playing with them and enjoying their company at home. Since we both have flexible schedule and we work from home, so your pet will have 24/7 care and supervision. Pumba roams the house and is allowed on our furniture, as your dog would be. At night or when we go out, our dog enjoyed sleeping in her bed or crate so there are no problems while unsupervised. Your pup will have free range of the entire first floor; kitchen, sitting room, and TV area! We will treat them like our own with lots of love and attention. You can have a fun and relaxing vacation knowing your pet is well taken care of. You'll receive lots of pics and videos with updates to ease your mind while away. Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions and any additional information that we haven't provided. We look forward to meeting you and your pet.
About: I have two dogs, Benny and Leo. Both of them are dog social and friendly. They are both certified wellness dogs and compete in barn hunt trials. Benny knows over 100 tricks (and still learning!) and Leo is also competing in rally obedience trials. We are constantly working towards furthering our training. I use force free and positive reinforcement for training methods. Our days rotate through training, play and rest! I promise a 1:1 training session (topic of choice) and a 30 minute solo walk per day and many many photo updates! I have a fully fenced yard and I take my boys to a private dog park twice a week to run like maniacs. Your dog would be included in all our activities and regular routine! I do require dogs to be crate trained for their stay - both my dogs take an afternoon nap and this allows for me to do the solo walks with each dog. I do expect dogs to be dog social or dog neutral. Safety for all the dogs in my care is my top priority. Our instagram is bennyplusleo if you wanted to see more of how I train and what our days normally look like! I offer day training and boarding from my home. My schedule is made around the needs of the dogs in my care! Dogs will not be left alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time at maximum. Typically we will start the day with some play and then move to 1:1 training sessions for breakfast. Dogs are free to roam my house and can decide to play or lounge. We do a mid day nap for everyone where I will take turns walking the dogs individually. Once all the dog walks are complete the dogs are welcome to free roam the house again to play or relax. I will also use this time to do additional afternoon training sessions! • I try to dog proof my home as much as possible. I have rugs across my main floor to avoid slips. There is nothing out or close to counter edges that your dog can get into. • Dogs are always supervised during playtime, in my backyard or in the basement. I also have motion sensored lights for our potty patch for night time potty. My side yards have additional pens to help prevent dogs from potentially escaping the gates. • All meals are given to each dog separately to ensure that no resource guarding occurs. I have a variety of pens, gates and crates to keep everyone separate when they are being fed.
“This was Pandas second visit and she was beyond excited when we got there! Once again we picked up a calm Panda which would not have been the case if she stayed home alone!”

“Riley had so much fun! Vanessa took her on walks and she got to play with her daughters. This was very last minute so I was really happy that Riley ended up spending the day with such a great family!”

About: I’ve had my best friend, Ash, since I was 10. Almost 12, he’s as lively as ever! I had also adopted Dart last year, a 10 year old pointer with anxiety - I have had the privilege of watching him grow and bloom into his instincts and training! I’ve also worked professionally with dogs for over two years and specifically would be tasked to handle dogs with special needs, whether that be behavioural or medical. I can connect with dogs and read them incredibly easy. I’m very patient as well and have no fear when dealing with less trusting or “feistier” dogs. I also understand how busy life can get, especially when unexpected hurdles come your way. I am especially offering services for pet parents who are looking for super last minute help. I’m more than happy to share a more specific version of my availability if you think you’ll need last minute care in the near future. I also especially love senior dogs and can manage their specific health and behavioural needs with ease. :) Hi! I’m a student with two pups of my own. I would love to help others struggling with busy schedules give their pups the best life they deserve! Here are the times I'm UNavailable during the week starting September 2026: Dog Walking or Drop-in: - Unavailable Monday and Friday Evenings - Unavailable MWF from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Unavailable TH from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. * I may be able to compromise and make an exception if you need my services during these hours OR if you live near Lewis Estates/University of Alberta campus, but nothing super long term until the new year. Other than the times listed above, I have pretty open availability but would be best for routine drop-ins or walking in the mornings, early evenings, and weekends. If you need me there during full work hours, please still reach out and explain your situation - I may be able to accommodate and I'm more than willing to talk about if our schedules work! I am also more than okay staying the night as long as I'm okay to pop in and out during the day to run errands as well! I work around the schedule of my two dogs, a couple of university classes and occasional 4-hour shifts at tutoring centre. I’d be great for last-minute bookings, most especially for dog walking, overnights, and drop-ins. :) ** I will accept short-term boarding under certain circumstances (typically if you’re experiencing an emergencies and need short term pet care ASAP). This is not preferred for me as I have a full house of dogs, hence the pricing. I’m very respectful of others spaces and will be able to recognize and learn the routines of your pup pretty quick! Special instructions are no stranger to me, so ask away!! I want to replicate their regular routine as much as possible to cause the least amount of stress. :) I value and put the time into understanding your pets boundaries and have no qualms with creating a safe, comforting environment through soft tones, words, and actions, and most importantly: patience.
About: I’ve spent years dog sitting and also have experience working with foster dogs, which has taught me how to adapt to different temperaments, needs, and routines. I’ve also cared for dogs with special needs, including vision loss and seizure conditions, so I’m comfortable staying calm, attentive, and responsive in more sensitive situations. I’ve always had a natural connection with dogs, they tend to trust me quickly, and I’m often told I have a bit of an “animal whisperer” touch. Whether it’s helping a nervous dog feel safe, keeping up with an energetic pup, or giving extra patience to senior dogs, I focus on making each dog feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to dedicate to your pets. I’m able to provide attentive care, regular walks, and lots of love, making sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I care for pets in a calm, safe, and loving environment where their comfort and routine always come first. I make sure to follow each pet’s individual needs closely, giving them gentle attention, consistency, and patience so they feel secure and at ease while their owners are away. I treat every pet like my own “special creature,” focusing on building trust and making sure they feel protected, not just supervised.
About: I was 11 years old when my family got our first dog. I completed obedience classes with her and have had pets ever since! I love animals and will take care of your fur babies as I would my own. I’m currently working 4-5 days a week. I’m available for house sitting most weekends and can stop in during the week, mostly in the morning or early afternoon. Dog walking or pet sitting available. I cannot bring pets into my home as I have 2 cats. I’m able to stop in to check in on your pets and stay with them!
About: I have been working for Edmonton humane Society for 4 years. Prior to that I have fostered many cats, kittens and rabbits. I live on a small acreage and own 2 dogs, 3 cats, 3 Rabbits, 2 tortoises, chickens and ducks. I have also volunteered for several animal rescues. I am comfortable with all cats, dogs, kittens, puppies, rabbits, chickens, ducks and reptiles. I am comfortable with giving medications, injections and other medical treatments. I am mostly available on Thursdays but also some Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as well as evenings. I am mainly looking for casual work. I will treat your animals with love and care. I have training in fear free animal interactions and am very experienced reading animal body language.
“Karley was amazing with my Shepard, she came by for a meet and greet to get to know him prior to taking him out, she was great to keep in contact, and updated me on how he did on his walk afterwards!”

About: I have been working with animals for as long as I can remember. My mom and I fostered dogs when I was young and I started dog walking and pet sitting on my own around 10 years old. I have experience with senior dogs and puppies as well as administering medication. My own family dog was a pet therapy dog and I did the training to be a certified handler with her. I currently am in University and work part time but I set up my schedule to be able to check in between classes or in between school and work. I am very flexible and willing to accommodate whatever your pets needs are if that means multiple walks a day or playing in the yard. For walks I have experience working with leash pullers so that’s not an issue. I am used to having to provide care on a set schedule or a more flexible one as well.
“Cristine is great with our dogs! Our youngest dog usually takes forever to warm up to someone new, but within minutes she was going in for kisses and pets. They were nice and sleepy after their walk!”

“Wonderful Dog sitters, they sent so many pictures and updated my family on how our dogs day was daily! I won’t hesitate to make them my first choice when I need a sitter again!”

“Crusher loved his stay with Julia and her pup! He was taken care of really well, she sent us lots of photos which eased our mind while he was with her and he didn’t want to come back home with us after. Highly recommend Julia, thanks for keeping our pup safe!”

“Our pup had a wonderful stay with Sharla and her crew of doggos! So thankful to have such a fabulous dog sitter close to home! Enjoyed our holiday so much more knowing our fur baby was in her capable and caring hands. Would highly recommend! 💖”

“Nicole and Al helped me so much - making last minute arrangements to dog sit, and making everything so easy and calm. And I got photos and a video while my puppy was there. I’m very satisfied, and will be a repeat customer!”

“Jill exceed all my expectations and took care of Hudson The Great amazingly for me. She had no issues with his special diet and medications. Jill kept me up to date on their activities and sent plenty of pictures. Hudson the Great loved her and her energy and her home was immaculately clean. I 100% recommend Jill and will be booking again with her.”

About: We know firsthand that dogs are family. We cared for our beloved dog for 11 years through two knee surgeries and several other procedures due to genetic health issues, giving her the best care every step of the way. That experience taught us patience, responsibility, and how to recognize when a dog needs extra attention. We provide a calm, loving home, daily walks, plenty of affection, and will follow your dog's routine exactly as you request. We treat every dog like one of our own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away. We both work full-time Monday to Friday, so we're best suited for dogs that are comfortable being home alone for up to 8 hours during the workday. Every dog gets a morning walk before we leave, an evening walk when we're home, and lots of love and attention afterward. On weekends we're home most of the day, so your dog will have plenty of companionship, playtime, and cuddles. Your dog's safety and comfort are our top priorities. We'll follow your dog's feeding schedule, medication routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions exactly as requested. We treat every dog like a member of our family and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. We also volunteer with an incredible pet rescue in Edmonton dog sitting for fosters while they wait for their forever home and absolutely love everything about it. All dogs we watch will 100% be treated like royalty 💜 We also have a toy box full of new toys where your incredible pet gets to bring home their favorite toy after their stay 🥰
“I felt completely at ease during my trip knowing Sunny was in great hands. Trish took excellent care of him — it truly felt like a second home for him. The space is fantastic, with a generous backyard and even some furry and human friends to keep him company. It honestly felt like Sunny got to enjoy his own little spring doggy camp!”

“Karen was amazing. Kept us up to date with pictures and my pups couldn’t have been taken better care of. They were exhausted when they came home so you can tell they had a tonne of fun.”

“Xiaoying was truly wonderful with October. Her daily updates were so thoughtful and heartwarming, and we looked forward to them throughout our vacation. My children were excited every day to see the adorable photos and hear how our beloved family pet was doing. You can tell she has a genuine love and compassion for animals. She has such a gentle, kind nature, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing October was in such caring hands. She was also incredibly friendly, professional, and communicative from start to finish. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she provided and will absolutely be booking with her again whenever we need pet care. Thank you so much for everything you do and being for being a wonderful mom to Toby for a week haha!”
