Hank can be dog reactive so previously we had had to settle for a kennel because it was hard to find a sitter who did not already have a dog of their own. Upon hearing that, Nicole was kind enough to block off the weekend for Hank alone. I cannot tell you how much it meant to know he was spending the weekend in a warm home with a substitute family. From the pictures and videos Nicole sent, he was happy, comfortable, well fed and well loved. Nicole and her husband have a son who was also great with Hank and in addition to feeding him, I heard Hank slept on his bed the first night. However, the second day she did not arrive until 4 hrs and 45 min after the scheduled time slot. She replied quickly and apologized when I contacted her, but I had to ask for each update. The care she provided was good. Advance notice that she was running several hours late would have been appreciated to save worry and stress.”
About: I have a german shepherd and a pitbull that I've helped raise in my family. The pitbull is a rescue and is reactive to noise and animals. Currently taking care of pets full time, so I am available all days of the week, between 7 am to 7 pm, and weekends as needed. About: Although I have only recently joined Rover, I have been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for both puppies and seniors! My youngest pup is 3 years old and my oldest is 11 years old. My senior dog has a variety of health issues, so I am familiar with administering medications to keep your pups happy and healthy. My senior dog is also a bit more anxious, so I am fairly knowledgeable on making a nervous dog a bit more comfortable. Although I did not grow up with cats, I have lots of experience cat sitting for friends and am very comfortable playing and hanging out with them. I am here to make sure your furry friends feel all the love when you’re away at work or when life gets busy! I recently graduated from the University of Alberta and am working part-time as I settle into the post-grad life, so I have tons of time to check in on your furry friends! I am currently accepting bookings up to 1 day in advance. My schedule is very flexible and I am available every day of the week all day except 1pm-8pm Mondays and Thursdays. As of right now, I am only able to check in on pets in my clients’ homes. Check ins include playing with the pet, giving food/water, administering medications as instructed, going on walks, and cleaning litter boxes as needed. Then later I asked for an hour extension and she accommodated me. I ended up being an extra half hour. During my dog’s stay (5 1/2 hrs) she sent me many pictures, fed and walked my dog. All of them are friendly and we ensure that all animals are safe. I work from home full time so I am able to always be around to monitor your pup! “Michael & Charlene were great with our dogs for day care. Coming from out of the country, you never know what to expect from strangers, even through Rover. After our meet & greet, we were totally comfortable leaving our kids there. We didn't ask for walks specifically, but our dogs got walks every day, and got to enjoy their beautiful fenced back yard with lush grass and a water feature. On our first morning dropoff, Michael greeted us with a special human treat: delicious homemade muffins! We had to stay out later than we said we would one night, but Michael handled it in stride. Communication was great every step of the way! Looking forward to our next visit to Canada and bringing our dogs to Michael & Charlene's place again!”

I'm available for regular drop in visits and walks between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Sunday and can custom evening visits. We can discuss and customize the pet care you need. Care in your home will be discussed with you. You know what your furball needs and I will make our time providing the enriichment they need. Care in my home would be in my cat room. Their enrichment would include a morning wakeup, several visits through the day and tucked in at night. The room is set up with 2 cat trees, access to a secure catio(monitored with a camera) when weather permits. You would bring their favourite bed, toys, litterbox and food. No dog care in my home at this time, but I can visit your dog for dog walking, feeding and snuggling.

About: I have been working with animals for as long as I can remember. My mom and I fostered dogs when I was young and I started dog walking and pet sitting on my own around 10 years old. I have experience with senior dogs and puppies as well as administering medication. My own family dog was a pet therapy dog and I did the training to be a certified handler with her. I currently am in University and work part time but I set up my schedule to be able to check in between classes or in between school and work. I am very flexible and willing to accommodate whatever your pets needs are if that means multiple walks a day or playing in the yard. For walks I have experience working with leash pullers so that’s not an issue. I am used to having to provide care on a set schedule or a more flexible one as well.

About: Although I have only recently joined Rover, I have been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for both puppies and seniors! My youngest pup is 3 years old and my oldest is 11 years old. My senior dog has a variety of health issues, so I am familiar with administering medications to keep your pups happy and healthy. My senior dog is also a bit more anxious, so I am fairly knowledgeable on making a nervous dog a bit more comfortable. Although I did not grow up with cats, I have lots of experience cat sitting for friends and am very comfortable playing and hanging out with them. I am here to make sure your furry friends feel all the love when you’re away at work or when life gets busy! I recently graduated from the University of Alberta and am working part-time as I settle into the post-grad life, so I have tons of time to check in on your furry friends! I am currently accepting bookings up to 1 day in advance. My schedule is very flexible and I am available every day of the week all day except 1pm-8pm Mondays and Thursdays. As of right now, I am only able to check in on pets in my clients’ homes. Check ins include playing with the pet, giving food/water, administering medications as instructed, going on walks, and cleaning litter boxes as needed. I may also bring some surprise treats depending on your dogs diet :)

About: I’ve been a dog owner my whole life and volunteered with animal rescues on and off. My home is extremely pet friendly and I’m excited to meet some new furry friends. My career requires me to complete regular criminal record checks. I currently work full time days during the week. My evenings and weekends are typically free. I am available for holiday care and can accommodate pets during the week that can be left alone during the day. I can take boarding requests for Friday’s after 4pm sept-june. I have a large fully fenced yard. Your pet should be comfortable and safe with a 4ft high chain link fence. My home is a bungalow, so no stairs inside. “Nicole and her family watched Hank for 3 days while my wife and I were out of town. Hank can be dog reactive so previously we had had to settle for a kennel because it was hard to find a sitter who did not already have a dog of their own. Upon hearing that, Nicole was kind enough to block off the weekend for Hank alone. I cannot tell you how much it meant to know he was spending the weekend in a warm home with a substitute family. From the pictures and videos Nicole sent, he was happy, comfortable, well fed and well loved. Nicole and her husband have a son who was also great with Hank and in addition to feeding him, I heard Hank slept on his bed the first night. We would have Hank stay with Nicole and her family again in a heartbeat, and would encourage anyone else to do the same. 5 stars.”

We both work full-time Monday to Friday, so we're best suited for dogs that are comfortable being home alone for up to 8 hours during the workday. Every dog gets a morning walk before we leave, an evening walk when we're home, and lots of love and attention afterward. On weekends we're home most of the day, so your dog will have plenty of companionship, playtime, and cuddles. Your dog's safety and comfort are our top priorities. We'll follow your dog's feeding schedule, medication routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions exactly as requested. We treat every dog like a member of our family and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. We also volunteer with an incredible pet rescue in Edmonton dog sitting for fosters while they wait for their forever home and absolutely love everything about it.
