Tammy was amazing to deal with. She took such great care of our boy, treated him like her own. She sent us lots of photos of what he was up to during his stay with her! We felt very much at ease while we were away knowing he was taken great of. Thanks so much Tammy :) we will definitely use Tammy again ♥️

Tanya was very flexible and took great care of our dog for a few days on relatively short notice. Pictures were sent multiple times a day and it was very clear the pup was having tons of fun and being very well taken care of. Thanks again Tanya!

I can’t begin to say enough about Gabrielle and her care for my elderly dog. I had to leave suddenly for 6 weeks to go to the West coast to help with a daughter who was ill in the hospital. Gabrielle’s calm, caring and patient way of listening and reading her visiting dogs is a true gift. My elderly deaf pup became part of her family in every way and I never had a worry the whole time I was away. I of course would highly recommend Gabrielle to anyone looking for pet care that goes above and beyond. Thank you Gabrielle from the bottom of my heart.

I have used Kasi for both day time sitting and overnight for a weekend. Both times my puppy seemed to have had a great time, excited to go back the next day and was very tired after a couple of days of play time with her dogs. Will use Kasi again.

About: Hey there! I’m Deanna — animal lover, treat‑giver, walk‑enthusiast, and certified “yes I talk to pets like they’re tiny hairy humans” person. 😄 I’ve had animals my whole life and have looked after pets with all sorts of medical needs. Giving meds? No problem. Special routines? I’m on it. Noticing when your pet is acting a little off? It’s basically my superpower. I’ve raised two puppies from 9 weeks old, so I know all about zoomies, chaos, snuggles, and the “why are you chewing that??” moments. I also adore senior pets — slow walks, soft voices, and gentle care are my jam. I’m pretty active, so if your dog wants adventures, I’m ready. If they prefer couch hangs and snacks… honestly, same. I work part‑time, which means I’ve got flexible availability on weekdays + weekends. I’m also open to overnight stays and weekend pet‑sitting if you need a little getaway. At home I’ve got two cats who are very chill with dogs as long as the dogs aren’t plotting to chase them. For everyone’s safety, I do ask that visiting pets are up to date on flea and tick prevention — gotta keep my furry roommates itch‑free. Your pet will be loved, spoiled, and treated like family. Can’t wait to meet your furry sidekick! 🐶🐱💛 I am currently working part time and have open hours to support your pet(s) weekdays and weekends. I am open to over night stays and weekend work. I have 2 cats who are okay with dogs as long as they don't have a prey drive and chase. I would require the pets coming in to have updated flea and tick to protect my babies.

Zoe was absolutely fantastic! I was very nervous to leave my 3 furry sons, but she constantly reassured me everything would be fine, and sent me pictures and updates daily. When I saw how much fun my sons were having, I felt much more calm. She set everything up for them in her lovely home, and cared so well for them. I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a critter sitter.

Charlee and Max stayed with Arshpreet and her family for 2 days, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We received regular updates throughout their stay, including photos, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear our dogs were in good, trustworthy care. Highly recommend & will certainly book again.

About: Hi, I’m Jess! I have 9.5 years of professional dog care experience, including daycares, structured on-leash group walks, off-leash park play, boarding, and housesitting. Raised on a farm, I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and share my home with two resident cats. I am incredibly comfortable with all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, from puppies and seniors to special needs. I'm trained in dog reactivity, certified in Pet First Aid, and experienced in administering medications, shots, and flea treatments. I live in a large apartment and typically host a single dog, but I’m open to caring for multiples from the same family if they get along well (complete with a complimentary trial). I always prefer a meet-and-greet first to ensure a perfect fit! I am just a 5 minute walk from a beautiful, very large off-leash dog park that features both an enclosed area and an additional section for pups who need a bit more focused attention. As well as, Delhi Park, Macaulay Mountain or Millenium Trail for hikes. I would love to meet you and your furry friend. I'm available via text or email anytime, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions! I am in transition as I just moved back home from Toronto, to Picton. I have full availability, and very capable of meeting your needs to provide the best care. I live with cats, and only take a client at a time, unless further analysis has been done to see compatability. This is for the safety of your pets, and to be leaning on a cautious side.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
