“Mirja did a wonderful job housesitting for us and our dog and 2 cats. Roscoe got plenty of exercise and companionship and everyone seemed very content when we arrived home. Mirja was communicative and shared photos regularly. We would absolutely hire her again.”

About: It all started with rabbits when I was a 4 year old. My dad bred them and we had well over 60 at one point. I had a pair of baby ducks when I was 8 years old. Then along came my budgie when I was 10. I have a lifelong experience of caring for many different types of pets. In the past I have had rabbits, ducks, a budgie, cockatiels, finches, rats, and aquariums. I took riding lessons as a teen and worked on the horse farm to pay for my lessons. I also have experience with exotic animals as I worked for a short time in a zoo. I have owned 5 dogs. A Husky (who lived to 15), an Australian Shepherd (who passed at age 12 from cancer), a sports mix - Border Collie/Staff/Russel (who passed at 14.5 from CHF), another Australian Shepherd (who passed at 11 from cancer), and I currently have a male Australian Shepherd. I work part time throughout the winter and have a tourism business during the summer. My work schedule is generally 4-6 hour days with a few off during the week. Your pet's care would fit in with my own pet's care. My dog is young and energetic and loves to play with other dogs. We hike most days in the woods surrounding the house. I have a pup who loves other dogs (he would have to come with me for overnight visits). He is playful and affectionate. I have 20 acres of woods to walk in (plus access to my neighbour's trails) and live on a small lake if your dog enjoys swimming. I am very knowledgeable in the care and training of animals, especially dogs and will be taking a first aide course when one comes available. I am very diligent about keeping dogs away from the road and they are always on a leash or longline.
“Autumn watched our cat Ripley while we were gone for 5 days. She spent tons of time with him, was great about communication and updates, left some cute remarks about how Ripley was doing on a note and left our house spotless. We would very much recommend Autumn to petsit and housesit and will totally reach out to her again in the future.”

“Zoe did a great job taking care of our high energy Doberman! We are always so nervous to leave him but Zoe put us at ease and really listened when we explained his likes and preferences. We would highly recommend her and hope to use her again in the future!”

“Christine was super understanding with our needs for Buddy. New puppy never been left alone and readily accepted our request for a meet & greet before the actual booking. Highly recommend her.”

“Kate is amazing! She handles our very skittish and scared pup with lots of patience and care. Her accomodation to our needs and communication are excellent. She’s always the first person I think of to pet sit our doggo when we need some help.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who has cared for my own dogs and cats for many years, while also fostering numerous animals with a wide range of personalities and care needs. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets like family. I have experience supporting medically fragile pets, including administering insulin, inhalers, oral medications, and providing care for senior or incontinent animals. I’m patient, attentive, and dedicated to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pet needs extra medical support, a calm environment, or simply lots of affection and attention, I’m committed to maintaining their routine and comfort every step of the way. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos for peace of mind. I'm very lucky to work remotely and can set up a workspace anywhere there's an internet connection. I have a flexible schedule and can make time for walks or visits anytime. I have a large yard and one big friendly dog. He absolutely loves everyone he meets but is also good at giving space to those who need it. He's great at reading social queues from other pups and cats. I live on a quiet country road that makes for great walks. I tend to let our dog on our furniture but are fine to keep to your rules for furniture. In your home, I'll follow your set routine for your pets.
“I can't recommend Josephine enough—she was amazing! Before our 14-day trip, she met with us so Ollie could get comfortable, and he loved her from the start. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which we really appreciated. Josephine went above and beyond, even leaving our home cleaner than when she arrived. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Highly recommended!”
