“Ricci was great with my dog Macduff. She was kind enough to text me as to how he was doing while I was away. Macduff was extremely happy with his stay. I couldn't recommend her more highly!”

“Thankyou both very much for looking after our dog. We booked Coupar into your home at a very short notice. Both of you are very welcoming to total strangers and a dog who barks a lot ! Your fenced off garden was also perfect for our dog who loves your trees too.”

“Indy was well looked after at Kristiina’s home. She was in very good spirits when I picked her up. Kristiina adapted (enjoyed!) to her little quirks easing any stress that Indy might have had with her first stay. I will not hesitate to leave Indy in her care in the future.”

“Charlee and Max stayed with Arshpreet and her family for 2 days, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We received regular updates throughout their stay, including photos, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear our dogs were in good, trustworthy care. Highly recommend & will certainly book again.”

“Holly and family made my anxious dog feel comfortable, happy, and at ease during her 4-day stay. I received updates and photos as requested and know that my dog was in very good hands and was well taken care of while I was away. Thank you Holly!”

“Leah (and her husband) are such kind, friendly, and caring people. My special needs senior, Cheeto, was so well taken care of. She also sent tons of photos and detailed updates. I would recommend to anyone!”

“Great place for your doggo to stay! Heather and her family were welcoming, took very good care of my dog, and made sure to keep us updated throughout the stay. They took Chase (my doggo) out for walks, he got to socialize with their dog and their kids, and Chase had a big smile upon my return and you could tell he had a good time. If you ever need a place you can leave your doggo without worry, this is it. Thank you Heather. Couldn't ask for better.”

“I had a wonderful experience with Dhanesha! She took excellent care of my dog, Rose, while I was away. From the daily updates with photos to the thoughtful attention to Rose's needs, everything was perfect. Dhanesha is reliable and trustworthy. I came home to a happy and well-cared-for pet. I highly recommend Dhanesha to anyone looking for top-notch pet care.”

“Rebel, our two year old golden doodle, happily stayed with Brigit and Rob while we travelled for 1.5 weeks. We enjoyed seeing the daily pictures of Rebel enjoying interesting walks, playtime and snuggles. He was obviously very well taken care of. Thanks Brigit and Rob!”

“Amanda was an amazing sitter who took the best care of our dogs. We will 100% go back to her whenever our little furry family needs to be watched and taken care of.”

“Caitlin was wonderful! She gave lots of updates and comforted Nikki through a thunderstorm. Her dog is absolutely lovely and Nikki became fast friends. Would absolutely rebook!”

About: Hey there! I’m Deanna — animal lover, treat‑giver, walk‑enthusiast, and certified “yes I talk to pets like they’re tiny hairy humans” person. 😄 I’ve had animals my whole life and have looked after pets with all sorts of medical needs. Giving meds? No problem. Special routines? I’m on it. Noticing when your pet is acting a little off? It’s basically my superpower. I’ve raised two puppies from 9 weeks old, so I know all about zoomies, chaos, snuggles, and the “why are you chewing that??” moments. I also adore senior pets — slow walks, soft voices, and gentle care are my jam. I’m pretty active, so if your dog wants adventures, I’m ready. If they prefer couch hangs and snacks… honestly, same. I work part‑time, which means I’ve got flexible availability on weekdays + weekends. I’m also open to overnight stays and weekend pet‑sitting if you need a little getaway. At home I’ve got two cats who are very chill with dogs as long as the dogs aren’t plotting to chase them. For everyone’s safety, I do ask that visiting pets are up to date on flea and tick prevention — gotta keep my furry roommates itch‑free. Your pet will be loved, spoiled, and treated like family. Can’t wait to meet your furry sidekick! 🐶🐱💛 I am currently working part time and have open hours to support your pet(s) weekdays and weekends. I am open to over night stays and weekend work. I have 2 cats who are okay with dogs as long as they don't have a prey drive and chase. I would require the pets coming in to have updated flea and tick to protect my babies.
“I can’t begin to say enough about Gabrielle and her care for my elderly dog. I had to leave suddenly for 6 weeks to go to the West coast to help with a daughter who was ill in the hospital. Gabrielle’s calm, caring and patient way of listening and reading her visiting dogs is a true gift. My elderly deaf pup became part of her family in every way and I never had a worry the whole time I was away. I of course would highly recommend Gabrielle to anyone looking for pet care that goes above and beyond. Thank you Gabrielle from the bottom of my heart.”

“Another great stay for Tucker. He loves going here and I feel 100% confident whenever I need to use their services. Extremely professional and very loving towards my dog.”

“Pamesha and her husband clearly love dogs and are very attentive in the care they provide. I really appreciated all the photo updates. I highly recommend them. Baylah came home very happy after her stay. Thank you!”

“Tammy was amazing to deal with. She took such great care of our boy, treated him like her own. She sent us lots of photos of what he was up to during his stay with her! We felt very much at ease while we were away knowing he was taken great of. Thanks so much Tammy :) we will definitely use Tammy again ♥️”

“Our dog had a lovely time staying with Stephen and his family. Stephen was very responsive and flexible. He sent much appreciated photos during the stay. Would be happy to leave our dog with him anytime!”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Skatepark home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favourite hang-out spots in your Skatepark
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
