âRicci is amazing. She adores our Bernedoodle Westley like he is her own, and sheâs always taking time to send me pictures, videos and updates. I wouldnât leave Westley with anyone else!!!â

âThank you so much, Holly, for taking such good care of Hannie. I loved receiving a photo and message every morning and I didn't feel like I had to worry about her at all. We really appreciate how patient you were with our pup as she warmed up to a new space and new people. We hope your cats will agree that she can return in the future.â

âLeah and James gave my senior dog the best care! She was so happy to return home, but missed her caregivers! We will go to Leah and James again, next time we travel. Their homey atmosphere meant my dog didnât even to seem notice that we had gone! They are trust worthy dog people!â

About: Hey there! Iâm Deanna â animal lover, treatâgiver, walkâenthusiast, and certified âyes I talk to pets like theyâre tiny hairy humansâ person. đ Iâve had animals my whole life and have looked after pets with all sorts of medical needs. Giving meds? No problem. Special routines? Iâm on it. Noticing when your pet is acting a little off? Itâs basically my superpower. Iâve raised two puppies from 9 weeks old, so I know all about zoomies, chaos, snuggles, and the âwhy are you chewing that??â moments. I also adore senior pets â slow walks, soft voices, and gentle care are my jam. Iâm pretty active, so if your dog wants adventures, Iâm ready. If they prefer couch hangs and snacks⌠honestly, same. I work partâtime, which means Iâve got flexible availability on weekdays + weekends. Iâm also open to overnight stays and weekend petâsitting if you need a little getaway. At home Iâve got two cats who are very chill with dogs as long as the dogs arenât plotting to chase them. For everyoneâs safety, I do ask that visiting pets are up to date on flea and tick prevention â gotta keep my furry roommates itchâfree. Your pet will be loved, spoiled, and treated like family. Canât wait to meet your furry sidekick! đśđąđ I am currently working part time and have open hours to support your pet(s) weekdays and weekends. I am open to over night stays and weekend work. I have 2 cats who are okay with dogs as long as they don't have a prey drive and chase. I would require the pets coming in to have updated flea and tick to protect my babies.
âNelaida was exceptional. Maggie usually takes a while to take to people, but Nelaidaâs calm, loving manner won her over in minutes. I felt totally at ease in leaving my precious pup with her. I definitely would recommend her to anyone with looking for a small dog sitter. Maggie gave her five doggie kisses! Karrinâ

âWe couldn't be any happier with Terra's stay with Brigit and Rob. We knew she was in good hands which made our trip that much better. Terra is an older dog with some issues that make it difficult leaving her with others. Definitely not with them and we will definitely look at leaving Terra with them again.â

âI had a wonderful experience with Dhanesha! She took excellent care of my dog, Rose, while I was away. From the daily updates with photos to the thoughtful attention to Rose's needs, everything was perfect. Dhanesha is reliable and trustworthy. I came home to a happy and well-cared-for pet. I highly recommend Dhanesha to anyone looking for top-notch pet care.â

âGabrielle has been looking after our elderly pup Annie for a while now. Every time Annie comes home after her stay she is happy and in good spirits. Annie is not always easy as she is deaf and has not the best eye sight and Gabrielle always takes time and extra care to make sure Annie feels safe and happy. I canât say enough about Gabrielle and her family. đâ

âCharlee and Max stayed with Arshpreet and her family for 2 days, and we couldnât be happier with the experience. We received regular updates throughout their stay, including photos, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear our dogs were in good, trustworthy care. Highly recommend & will certainly book again.â

âTammy made my first time using Rover feel so relieved and comfortable. Tammy was great at keeping me updated with adorable pics of my boy and was accommodating when my sonâs flight delayed. I will definitely use Tammy again in the near futureâ¤ď¸â

âBuddy spent another fun and relaxing vacation with Caitlin! We so appreciate how we can fully enjoy our time away knowing that Buddy is being well cared for and having so much fun! Thanks again Caitlin!â

âHeather is the most wonderful dog sitter! She is warm and understanding of our petâs needs and I cannot say enough about the quality of care that our Willow received from Heather while we were away at a wedding. Willow was well fed, walked, played with and snuggled! We really felt at ease knowing that she was in good hands. Heather sent us updates, photos and even a little video of how Willow was doing and having so much fun playing with her dog Alfie. We are so totally impressed with Heather!â

âIndy was well looked after at Kristiinaâs home. She was in very good spirits when I picked her up. Kristiina adapted (enjoyed!) to her little quirks easing any stress that Indy might have had with her first stay. I will not hesitate to leave Indy in her care in the future.â

âDeanna & Scott did a great job caring for my dog while I was away for 10 days. They sent me lots of pictures and were always easy to talk to. I had no worries while I was away which made my trip much more enjoyable.â

âWas worried leaving Charlie alone with strangers for the first time but Brynn made him feel right at home. He received lots of cuddles and play time with the children. So happy with Brynn and her family that already ask if she would take him again when we go away next time. Highly recommend Brynnâ

âPaige and Vanessa were punctual and organized when meeting Jose and Rosa. They kept me updated with pictures and the dogs´daily activities while I was away. When I picked the dogs up, I could tell that they were happy with Paige and Vanessa. I would definitely book them again.â

âWeâve trusted Pamesha and her husband to care for our dog several times now, and theyâve been absolutely wonderful every time. Theyâre reliable, kind, and clearly love animals. Our pup is always happy and well cared forâwe couldnât ask for better sitters!â

The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
