In comparison my current dog Nova (4.5 yrs) I have raised alone from a puppy. She is a collie lab mix with lots of energy! I work from home and have a very flexible job that allows me to take a hour lunch break to go for a long walk with my dog. I have an acre and a half of land. About one acre has a inground electric fence that I have trained my dog on. If I have guest dogs I suggest a long lead if they are a flight risk or I have a spare collar for dog parents that agree to training with the fence ( I have flags and the collar beeps in warning to the perimeter). I give lots of affection throughout the day to pets and if I have a snack usually means my furry friend will as well.

About: It all started with rabbits when I was a 4 year old. My dad bred them and we had well over 60 at one point. I had a pair of baby ducks when I was 8 years old. Then along came my budgie when I was 10. I have a lifelong experience of caring for many different types of pets. In the past I have had rabbits, ducks, a budgie, cockatiels, finches, rats, and aquariums. I took riding lessons as a teen and worked on the horse farm to pay for my lessons. I also have experience with exotic animals as I worked for a short time in a zoo. I have owned 5 dogs. A Husky (who lived to 15), an Australian Shepherd (who passed at age 12 from cancer), a sports mix - Border Collie/Staff/Russel (who passed at 14.5 from CHF), another Australian Shepherd (who passed at 11 from cancer), and I currently have a male Australian Shepherd. I work part time throughout the winter and have a tourism business during the summer. My work schedule is generally 4-6 hour days with a few off during the week. During walks, I focus on secure handling, safe routes, calm interactions, and adapting the walk to each dog’s temperament, age, and energy level. My goal is to provide reliable, low-stress dog walking that owners can trust. I am currently in my summer break (May-Sept). while writing up my research paper draft, I will be flexible with my schedule 7 days a week 6:00am-10:00pm for dog walking. I have full G license with my own vehicle. For dog walking, I focus on safety, consistency, and calm handling. Before each walk, I confirm the dog’s routine, leash or harness setup, energy level, triggers, and any special instructions. I also apply what I learned from Fear Free shelter and boarding/daycare training by paying close attention to body language, fear-anxiety-stress signals, arousal level, thresholds, and environmental triggers. I check that equipment is secure, choose safe routes, avoid unnecessary dog to dog interactions, and adjust the pace to the dog’s comfort level. My goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and low-stress walk while giving owners peace of mind.

HOME BOARDING at my spacious, ground-level apartment means that your cat or dog would stay with me and my pets for overnights over an extended period of time. I have a large, fenced yard and a friendly pup of my own to keep yours occupied, and would be taking them on and off leash adventure at least once a day, regardless of whether I work. I also have the flexibility to pop into my home throughout the day on days I do work, so the pups get frequent potty breaks and are never left alone for long stretches.
