âNelaida was exceptional. Maggie usually takes a while to take to people, but Nelaidaâs calm, loving manner won her over in minutes. I felt totally at ease in leaving my precious pup with her. I definitely would recommend her to anyone with looking for a small dog sitter. Maggie gave her five doggie kisses! Karrinâ

About: Hey there! Iâm Deanna â animal lover, treatâgiver, walkâenthusiast, and certified âyes I talk to pets like theyâre tiny hairy humansâ person. đ Iâve had animals my whole life and have looked after pets with all sorts of medical needs. Giving meds? No problem. Special routines? Iâm on it. Noticing when your pet is acting a little off? Itâs basically my superpower. Iâve raised two puppies from 9 weeks old, so I know all about zoomies, chaos, snuggles, and the âwhy are you chewing that??â moments. I also adore senior pets â slow walks, soft voices, and gentle care are my jam. Iâm pretty active, so if your dog wants adventures, Iâm ready. If they prefer couch hangs and snacks⌠honestly, same. I work partâtime, which means Iâve got flexible availability on weekdays + weekends. Iâm also open to overnight stays and weekend petâsitting if you need a little getaway. At home Iâve got two cats who are very chill with dogs as long as the dogs arenât plotting to chase them. For everyoneâs safety, I do ask that visiting pets are up to date on flea and tick prevention â gotta keep my furry roommates itchâfree. Your pet will be loved, spoiled, and treated like family. Canât wait to meet your furry sidekick! đśđąđ I am currently working part time and have open hours to support your pet(s) weekdays and weekends. I am open to over night stays and weekend work. I have 2 cats who are okay with dogs as long as they don't have a prey drive and chase. I would require the pets coming in to have updated flea and tick to protect my babies.
âIndy was well looked after at Kristiinaâs home. She was in very good spirits when I picked her up. Kristiina adapted (enjoyed!) to her little quirks easing any stress that Indy might have had with her first stay. I will not hesitate to leave Indy in her care in the future.â

âRobyn was great, she looked after my Great Dane for a weekend, she sent me frequent updates on his activities and let me know he was settling in well, which calmed my fears as an anxious dog mom. Iâd highly recommend Robyn for anyone looking for a calm and caring pet sitter.â

âCharlee and Max stayed with Arshpreet and her family for 2 days, and we couldnât be happier with the experience. We received regular updates throughout their stay, including photos, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear our dogs were in good, trustworthy care. Highly recommend & will certainly book again.â

âDhanesha did a wonderful job looking after my elderly kitty Bella. She was very responsive during the initial booking process, very friendly and approachable. Once she had Bella, she sent regular photo and video updates on how Bella was settling and her everyday life at Dhanesha's. I greatly appreciated the care she took of my kitty. I would use Dhanesha's services again and would recommend her to my friends.â

âIf I could give Caitlin 10 stars I would. She took absolutely exceptional care of my dog while I was away, completely exceeds expectations, and truly goes above and beyond. She sends regular picture and video updates by request, and is always responsive to messages, questions, or any concerns you may have. Caitlin is incredibly flexible, knowledgeable, friendly, and has a genuine passion for ensuring she takes the proper care of your pet in your absence. You cannot go wrong booking with Caitlin, she is the definition of what a good person is. Thank you so very much again, Rio and I cannot wait to get back and see you!!â

âAmazing service! Brynn was so accommodating with last minute changes in schedule and was very responsive. She took great care of our girls and sent the sweetest photos of them swimming with her kiddos! She was able to administer our dogâs antibiotic with no issues. We loved that she had a fenced-in yard for the dogs to hang out in. We definitely felt confident that our girls were in good hands!â

âScott and Deanna are the perfect hosts for our dog, Tito! We are truly grateful to have found someone who can keep our high-energy dog. Our favourite home away from home for our dog, hands down! Thank you!â

âCarli was very accommodating to let our pups meet prior to booking. She also modified our booking closer to the date of our vacation, which was very convenient! Her dogs were great with my little dogs, and they were babied and cared for just like if they were home with me. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
