About: Experience with reactive and medically complex dogs of all ages. Have lived with dogs aged 7 weeks up to 16 years. Experience with nose work, agility, and obedience training. I am currently working as a remote consultant and am able to fully control my schedule! I typically get out with pups first thing in the morning for a larger walk/outing, but this depends on the dog and their needs. Your dog will be the only animal in the home while they are cared for. I am happy to accommodate any communication needs you have to help you feel comfortable (3 pics a day, no problem!) Or any other specific needs that are communicated ahead of time.

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover from the UK currently traveling around Canada. I’ve had dogs in my home all my life and have spent the last 7 years dog sitting for a wide range of breeds from energetic dogs who need long, adventurous walks, to older dogs who just enjoy a gentle stroll and relaxing in the park. I’ve also trained my own dog and a friends so I’m comfortable reinforcing commands. Being around dogs is something i miss while traveling, so I’d love the chance to help care for yours as if they were my own. I’m not working so I will be able to follow any routine the dog or animal has. I love to go on long walks so will happily take the dog out for as long as you recommend I am constantly aware of the animals in my care and keep an eye on them whether it’s in the garden at the park or in the house. This also mean I will follow any rules that the owner has set out

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm with horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, parrots and rabbits. my father had a wildlife touring company on Vancouver Island where we observed Killer Whales, Grizzly Bears and sea otters and many other animals. I have over 6 years of experience working and managing pet stores along with dog, cat, and rabbit adoption through the SPCA. I also have experience walking dogs and boarding them in doggy daycare. Due to working in pet stores, I have extensive knowledge of pet foods and products. I grew up with German Shepherds, and owned two Pomeranians that have recently passed due to old age and have worked with rescue dogs as well. I love both domestic and wild animals and am passionate about protecting animals, and the environment. I am an active person that loves to be outside, and going on walks and hikes. My pomeranian Pongo passed away in 2022 from old age, and my second pomeranian Pepper passed away at the beginning of this year from old age. Dog boarding will help bridge the transition for me not having a dog at home anymore, and this way I can still give love and attention to dogs while their families are away traveling. I did some dog boarding with Rover with Pongo, but once I rescued Pepper I stopped dog boarding for about 5 years. Now that pepper has passed I am ready to do this again. I have a hybrid job so I am only in the office Monday to Wednesday and work from home Thursday and friday, which means your pup will have constant companionship from Thursday to Sunday. Monday to Wednesday your pup will only be alone for max 6 hours. I also have flexibility with my job, and can work from home the whole week if your pup cant be alone. I can walk your pup basically as much as they want, I live in a nice neighborhood with parks nearby and can take your pup for forests walks at pacific spirit park if that is something your dog likes. Can give your pup lots of playtime and cuddles as well. I live in an apartment and have a dog safe space (so they cant get into human food or anything else they shouldn't get into). I can take your pup for leashed walks around my neighborhood, to parks, pacific spirit park and nearby beaches if that is something your dog likes. My apartment and my energy is calm and peaceful so your dog will have a relaxing time here with me.

About: I've had 4 dogs in my life from the age of 15 and they all lived full and happy lives. Currently I look after 3 beautiful and healthy cats which had been a dream of my since childhood. As a self employed narrative designer and video editor I get to have a lot of sporadic free time which matches perfectly with pet sitting. I'm very respectful of other people's homes since it's a privileged to be invited into someone else's space. I also take into consideration that, like people, every animal has its own personality and needs which I'm here to tend to.

About: I will treat your pets like they are my family to! Hi, I'm Allison. I was born & raised on the Sunshine Coast & it is my forever home. In my 34 years I have loved & cared for many animals including: cats, dogs, reptiles, amphibians, mice, bunnies, & guinea pigs! I have been cat and dog sitting and walking for quite a few different clients up & down the coast on and off Rover. I've stayed for a week or more at a time & made sure they had daily walks, play, feeding, cleaning up after them, and keeping the home clean. I also have my dog and cat first aid certificate through red cross, and 2 certificates of completion through PIJACC (Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council of Canada) for care of small animals & also reptiles & amphibians. I currently have 2 wonderful cats, as well as 5 reptiles in my care at home. I'm very experienced with puppies & kittens, as well as senior pets, and have given oral medications countless times. I also have quite a lot of experience with reactive dogs. If I'm given details on what causes them to be reactive I can make sure they have a fun and safe walk and relaxing time at home! Animals are my passion and this is what I do for my career, so I'm always available to walk, drop in, or pet sit day & night! (As long as my rover calander says I'm available) I'm always able to stay with your pets 24/7 until you return. I'm currently only on the Sunshine Coast. I'm a very calm & kind presence with animals, but I do love to play and be silly with the pets once they get to know me. My utmost priority is to have your pet trust me & feel completely safe. I'm a rule follower & do everything in my power to make it the best and most comfortable experience for your fur family.

About: I have been taking care of my own dog since I was 7 and have regularly taken care of friends and neighbours’ dogs since I was a teenager. I cared for my elderly dog before she passed at 13 so have experience with dogs of all ages. I am very passionate about pets and giving them the best experience since I know first hand with my own dog how anxious they can be when their pawrents are away. I am a teacher currently working full-time so would be able to provide care for your pet on weekdays after 4pm or anytime on weekends for check-ins. House-sitting is available anytime and once summer starts I can provide care for your pup at any point! I want to focus on your pet having a safe and fun time when you are away so would love to set-up meet and greets to make sure we are a good fit! I also would like to provide them with all the love.

About: I have always had a dog I had a Westie and at home I have a golden retriever. I have looked after friends and families dogs when they have gone on holidays I’m currently only working part time so when I would look after the dog they would have all my time. I’m happy to mind them in the dogs house When minding them in your own home you will know that the dog is comfortable in its own house and knows its own surroundings. .

About: - I am an international student at UBC and am free every day after 12:30 pm! I miss my dog at home a lot and would be so delighted to have the opportunity to play and spend time with your furry baby. - I have loved animals from a very young age and absolutely love caring for them. I have had and/or cared for dogs since I was three years old. - I have experience working at an animal shelter in India and helping with feeding and medicating for 70+ dogs with special needs/ailments - I have fostered several abandoned dogs with behavioural issues and have used a variety of techniques to work best with their needs and help them overcome them. - My dog had osteoarthritis and stopped being able to walk at the age of 14 but with perseverance, we used hydrotherapy combined with weight loss, targeted exercise, Bowen therapy and a wheelchair to nurse him back and he started walking again! I’m willing to do whatever it takes to best help a dog with special needs. - I have experience raising and training a puppy and am very accommodating of dogs that are not potty-trained/ are being trained.
