Millie did such a great job walking my rescue silver lab, Belle. She took the time to get to know Belle during the meet and greet and asked really good questions. When walking Belle, she arrived on time, communicated well, and was able to redirect Belle, who often struggles to stay calm when other dogs are nearby. I highly recommend her and willing be using her services again!

About: I have been around pets my whole life! I have taken care of each and every pet I’ve had. I have always had either a dog or cat in my house. And each of my family members have had pets that I have been around as well. I also use to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where I cared for injured animals. I have my own mini farm, where I have pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and turkeys! So if you need any of those types of animals cared for I can do that too! I have a very flexible schedule so I basically have the whole day to come take care of any pets! I have plenty of time to come and hang out with your furry family! I have four loving dogs that get outside all day long because I have so much time during the day and a very large fenced in backyard. We go on walks all the time! We can have a pet play date if your pet likes other dogs. If you need your pet needs to crated, I can do that. If they need soothing music put on, I can do that too!

About: Hi! I'm Kaitlyn, and I've spent the past 10 years caring for pets of all ages-from playful puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats who need a little extra patience and gentle attention. I have two dogs myself a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle named Maxine and a 1-year-old Goldendoodle named Meeko so I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. What sets me apart is my reliability, attentiveness, and genuine love for animals-I treat every pet as if they were my own. I'm comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, medication reminders, and, of course, giving plenty of affection. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while their family is away. I'd love to schedule a meet and greet to see if I'm the right fit for your furry friend! - Kaitlyn Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m home full-time, seven days a week, so I’m able to provide consistent, dependable care and plenty of attention. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping pets company, I enjoy making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved throughout the day. In a client’s home, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or cuddle time—so they feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while keeping their space clean and secure. When caring for pets in my own home, I provide a welcoming, safe environment where they’ll enjoy lots of love, playtime, and supervision. I treat every pet like family, ensuring they feel at home and well cared for. I have two friendly dogs who love to play and make new friends!

About: Hi! My name is Haleigh and I am an animal lover! I have been taking great care of other people's pets for about 10 years now, and I absolutely love doing it. I have had dogs my whole life on top of my experience pet-sitting, so I understand most of their needs and how to take exceptional care of them. I understand that these are not just pets, they are family members, and I always intend to treat them just as that. I have house-sat while taking care of the pets, made drop in visits through out the day, and have walked multiple dogs at once. I am very reliable and attentive. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave them with another person; so I always make sure to do frequent updates over text (unless call is preferred). I do have two dogs of my own so if you’re looking to drop your pet with me, he/she must get along with other dogs! Thank you for your consideration! I only work three days a week so I should have plenty of time to take care of your babies as long as it’s on my days off which I have posted! :) I have a fenced yard and two very friendly and playful dogs to keep yours company. I can also crate your dog or dogs if needed.

About: I treat every pet as if they’re my own—with love, patience, and genuine care. What truly sets me apart is my reliability and responsibility. You can count on me to show up on time, follow your instructions carefully, and keep your pets safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m incredibly loving and attentive, always making sure your pets feel secure while you’re away. I also believe communication is key—I’ll keep you updated with detailed messages, photos, and check-ins so you never have to wonder how things are going. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or somewhere in between, I meet them with calm, compassionate care tailored to their needs. My husband and I are both retired and just moved back to Leland, NC. We both have completely open availability to accommodate any needs or schedule. I have a spacious, fully fenced backyard and two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. My schnauzer especially loves to play and is always excited to make a new friend! My husband is also at home—he’s a true animal lover (and a bit of a dog whisperer). Our pups are our kids, and we treat all animals like family. They’re welcome on the furniture, in the bed, and anywhere else that makes them feel safe, loved, and comfortable.

I am here to make your weekly routine easier! I will make sure that your dog is tired after getting the miles in. I am used to walking 4 to 6 miles with my own very high energy doggies. When your dog is on a walked leash with me, I will make sure that he or she is well taken care of. Movement is medicine and I will make sure that your dog has a lot of enrichment while we have outside time.

About: I've been around well trained and untrained dogs alike for most of my life. I am capable with strong dogs, aggressive dogs, and dogs who just have tons of energy! I am currently doing gig work in the film industry, so in between gigs I have plenty of time to care for our furry friends. I care for other people's pets same as I care for mine at home. Simple basics are essential, but the magic happens when you build a bond and enrich each other's time together.

About: I can’t remember an age where I wasn’t helping birth and raise kittens and puppies, turtles, or rodents. From having blind, toothless senior chihuahuas and senile cats…to a litter of brand new pups or kittens struggling to catch their first breath I’ve been part of it. I’ve had several rodents and reptiles, and cared for my friends and family birds as well. Trained puppies and kittens to use the potty and more. Also helped with a few farm animals too. I work only 20-25hrs a week, so I’ll always be home within 6hours or less. Outside of work, I’m home hanging out with my kids and furbabies. I have two e.s.a. Certified cats who tend to hide away when someone new is here. I’ve had them both since babies (13y & 3y). Keep things clean, organized, healthy, I had a cleaning company too. I don’t have crates on hand or an outside fence but I have a huge yard, the neighbor has a spayed female American bulldog, very friendly. There are farm animals next door. However, I do appreciate being where the pet is comfortable and knows its space.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 5, growing up my street had so many chihuahuas. I will take care of your pets like they’re my own. Right now I’m in college so I’m doing this for a little extra money and for something to do. I would love this extra time to care and love your pets as if they are my own plus it would give me something to do. (I promise I have so much free time on my hands this would really help lol) I would keep your dog inside. We would do activities such as walking your dog at a park or around my house. You must bring your own dog/cat food.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Byrdville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Byrdville.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Byrdville. On Rover:

  • 97% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
