About: I have taken care of multiple animals throughout my life, mainly elder neighbors who cannot fully take care of their animals because of scheduling conflicts. I prefer overnight visits and stays just to ensure no schedules are disrupted. I currently attend UVA full-time as a Master's Student, and work Saturday nights at a restaurant in Cville. But I always make time for the animals in my life! I have a fenced-in yard, I walk dogs either for short 15/20 minutes, or a longer (5 miles) depending on a breed's needs and requirements. If not, I prefer to lounge and play with toys together.

When I am to care for your dogs in your homes, I will take them for walks and play with them as much as I can. If there is a fenced in yard we will do plenty of activities!
About: I’ve been dog sitting for the last five years. Within my experience, I have only taken care of dogs under the age of 10. I absolutely love to go on long walks with animals! I currently work five days a week, but my work is in the center of my desired sitting area. In my previous sitting jobs, I have been able to take my 30 minute break at work to go check on the animals and let them out. I am normally up really early in the morning and late at night, so your animal will get enough care during the entire day! I care for pets very safe and carefully. I always have my leg first when opening doors to prevent pets from wondering off, and I always double check doors before leaving. I am very responsible when it comes to feeding animals. I also bring in mail/take trash cans out if needed during the sitting! :)

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for my whole life. I started my professional animal care working as a farmhand, caring for horses dogs and cats from a young age. I was a veterinary assistant for 6+ years and am comfortable medicating our furry friends. I've previously trained a deaf puppy for a neighbor. By the end of our time working together the dog had confidently learned sit, lie down, roll over and fetch via hand cues. I'm happy to discuss my availability with you to see if I could potentially be a good fit for your situation. My work schedule is currently Tuesday - Saturday. About: I have 2 dogs currently, and have had lots of different pets growing up. I have cat and dog sat for family and neighbors. I have also taken care of and helped out with foster kitties. About: I've had dogs all my life as a kid and now as an adult! Love dogs to no end, Have a New Foundland and Golden Retriever. Fenced in back yard on 4 acres, Not into bathing and grooming dogs but will give them the care they need and more! I'm retired military and will make this a fulltime thing if things work out! This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
