“Avital was great my Moonbelle. It was my first time leaving her and was very nervous. Avital reassured me by sending me pictures daily and updating me on her visits. They had a lot of playtime. Thank you so much! Moonbelle and I appreciated having her take care of her while I was away.”

“I cannot express enough how amazing Irem and her husband were in taking care of my cat while I was away. Initially, my cat was very defensive, but they managed to make her feel safe and cared for. They handled numerous tasks, including administering her medicine, with perfect attention to detail. I received countless photos and videos from them, which reassured me that she was in the best hands. Their dedication and compassion were truly wonderful, and I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you again so much for the gift. Mamajay loves it!!”

“I have too many adjectives to describe Colleen. She was extremely trustworthy, communicative, accommodating, caring, thoughtful, kind, responsible and prepared. I always stress when I go away and leave my girls but Colleen alleviated that feeling almost entirely. She even stayed longer than needed the first night. I am very happy with how my girls were treated and will definitely pick Colleen as my sitter next time.”

“Kristen did an excellent job watching Moose and Bear! They were very well taken care of and super happy once we returned home. Kristen was very prompt about showing up on time every day which we really appreciated. Her initial meet and greet visit was super smooth and efficient. We will absolutely use Kristen again to watch our cats the next time we're away.”

“Sarah was incredible with my cats! They’re quarantine cats, so really not used to many people, but she had them interacting with her from visit one. She took great pics and wrote up perfect summaries. She was super responsive during the booking process and let me know when things seemed off or she was unsure. This was my first time leaving the cats with someone I didn’t know, and I’ll definitely be booking with Sarah again!”

“Allie did an outstanding job taking care of our Cali. Cali is a tough little girl and gets a bit of "separation anxiety". Allie handled it well and did a great job of making Cali feel comforatble and keeping us informed along the way. Would highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and caring for them has always been second nature to me. Over the years, I’ve also dog‑sat for friends and family giving me experience with different breeds, personalities and routines. Whether your pup loves long walks, belly rubs or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away. Because I work from home, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day, which means plenty of time for walks, play breaks, feeding and keeping an eye on your pet’s comfort. I build my work schedule around their needs so they get consistent attention and companionship instead of long stretches alone. Whether it’s a midday walk, extra snuggles or sticking to their usual routine, I’m able to give them steady, reliable care all week long. I have a quiet, calm and pet‑friendly home that’s perfect for animals who enjoy a peaceful environment. Since I don’t have any pets of my own, your dog gets my full attention and a stress‑free space with no competition for affection. I keep my home clean, safe and comfortable and I have a deck where pets can relax outside, enjoy some fresh air and soak up the sun.
“Chelsea took great care of our pet while we were away on vacation. She was communicative the entire time and transparent about everything. She provided photos of our pet with each visit. Chelsea was punctual on all her visits with our pet and never late. I would recommend her services to anyone in need of a dog walker.”

“Mike was amazing with our Lady! At no point while I was out of the country did I need to fret or worry. Mike’s updates were amazing and made us happy to know she was in good hands. Def recommend anyone in the area to consider him. Thanks Mike!!!!”
“We recently had Joe take care of our cat, Toby, for two weeks while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the start, communication was excellent. Joe sent regular updates, photos, and videos so we could see how Toby was doing each day. Toby can be a little shy around new people, but he warmed up to Joe quickly, which says a lot. It was clear that he was comfortable and well cared for. The house was spotless when we returned, and everything was just as we left it. We really appreciated the attention to detail, the affection shown to Toby, and the peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. We’ll definitely be booking with Joe again for our next trip — highly recommend!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Ligiane! Her thoughtfulness and excellent communication skills put me at ease while I was away. They kept me updated regularly and went the extra mile to ensure I felt comfortable as a first time with a cat sitter and my cat was well taken care of. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of a reliable and caring animal sitter.”

About: I have had a pet by my side since the day I was born. Pets are family and they deserve to be treated as such. Specifically, I have cared for other pets the last 7 years; feeding and cleaning fish tanks, overnight stays combined with daily dog walks and changing cat litter and cleaning their coats. To care for other's pets is a privilege that I do not take lightly, there is trust and commitment needed. I want to allow individuals to feel comfortable that their pet is cared for in times when they are unable to do so themselves. Above all else if a pet needs care, I want to provide them with a friendly face, playful affect and calm presence to ensure successful care treatment. I am currently working a full-time job that requires me to work 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. I occasionally work 1 day of the weekend and will provide full schedule is a service is requested. I will provide open and honest communication with client and maintain a flexible schedule outside of work hours. Currently I am unable to board pets in my home. It is something I hope can happen later in life at a different residence. In the client's home, I will care for their pet as they would like me to, ultimately wanting the pet to maintain their normal schedule as best as possible.

I cannot say enough on how amazing it was to have Sarah watch over our kitty! She was punctual on every day and her love and understanding to our kitty gave us complete assurance and comfort while we were away, we highly recommend Sarah as a cat sitter and would gladly use her services again when needed!

Colleen is absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond while visiting the boys, taking the time to clean out their automatic feeder bowls and automatic litter box so everything stayed fresh. Best of all, she didn't just rush through the visit—she stayed extra long to snuggle and play with them. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring, attentive hands. I cannot recommend her enough!

Chelsea took great care of our pet while we were away on vacation. She was communicative the entire time and transparent about everything. She provided photos of our pet with each visit. Chelsea was punctual on all her visits with our pet and never late. I would recommend her services to anyone in need of a dog walker.

Katie is an absolute rock star for us and has always come through to watch our two cats even on short very short notice. Have used her many times the past year and will continue to do so as long as we are in NJ. is 505 miles too far? lol.....theres no way to show how appreciative we are......
Amanda was amazing with our boy, Riley. She came to visit him three times a day, and while he normally takes three to five days to warm up to someone, she won him over pretty quickly. She even got kisses! She took great care of him and ensured his routine remained the same. Thank you, Amanda, for loving our boy like he was your own and easing our minds while we were away, knowing he was in good hands. Riley says HI!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
