About: I have loved being with my dog Boomer for almost 5 years now, from 7.5 weeks on. I also handled my family dogs on numerous occasions. I am currently in between jobs, so my entire schedule is molded around being available for a pet at anytime. I understand the need to have someone as devoted to their pet as I am. My schedule is very flexible. I have a friendly dog named Boomer, he is almost 5 and loves to go on adventures. Living here in Yarmouth gives me almost immediate access to many parks, trails and dog parks for our pets to go romp around in.

About: I bring patience, responsibility, and genuine care to every pet I meet. I understand that pets are family, and I treat them like my own—with kindness, consistency, and plenty of playtime. I'm great with routines, quick to notice changes in behavior or mood, and always send updates to keep you in the loop. Whether your pet is shy, energetic, or somewhere in between, I take the time to build trust and make them feel safe and loved. As a teacher on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m reliable, organized, and plan my days around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. Whether it's daily drop-ins, feeding schedules, or just making time for extra play and snuggles, I build pet care into my routine with the same consistency and attention I bring to the classroom. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely—feeding, playtime, medications, litter box cleanup, and more—and I always respect the home like it’s my own. I take time to bond with each pet, offering plenty of love, attention, and calm companionship. I also send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and your home is in good hands.

About: Hi! I’m a veterinary student home for the summer, and I’d love to help care for your pets while you’re away. I’m currently in vet school and have years of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, and more — both in clinical settings and at home. My experience includes walking, feeding, administering medications, and managing pets of all temperaments and sizes. I’ve also worked in animal hospitals and have a strong understanding of animal behavior, safety, and health. Growing up, I cared for my own pets and frequently dog-sat for neighbors and family friends — it’s always been second nature to me. Whether your pup loves belly rubs, playtime, or just needs a calm and reliable presence, I’ve got it covered. I’m responsible, responsive, and will treat your pet like one of my own. Let me know how I can make your pet’s day brighter while you’re away! I have a very flexible schedule with work right now, allowing me to take care of your pet's needs throughout the week whenever you need. When caring for pets in your home, I aim to keep your animals as comfortable and stress-free as possible by maintaining their normal routine. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding schedules and medications to walks, potty breaks, and playtime. I make sure fresh water is always available and that your pet gets plenty of love, attention, and stimulation throughout the day. I will also make sure to be respectful of your space and tidy up after myself and your pet! Because I’m a veterinary student, I’m also trained to spot signs of illness or discomfort, and I’m confident handling pets with special medical needs or behavioral quirks. Whether your pet loves cuddling, playing, or quiet companionship, I tailor my care to what makes them feel at home.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 97% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
