“I just can't say enough about how amazing Sarah and Zach are and how much it means to us to have our active social 1 1/2 year old lab in their care. They understand him, take care of him as one of their own and make it so easy to coordinate and communicate.”

“Wolfy had such a great day with Mary and her family. He can back very happy, and Mary sent several lovely photos of his time. Mary was also flexible with me when my plans changed after booking, which was so appreciated.”
About: I took care of my family's dog until I moved to college, and I really miss having a dog! Rover is perfect because it will allow me to satisfy my love for dogs while fitting with my schedule and helping you. I am also hoping to get a dog in the near future. I enjoy running and walking so having a dog with energy is not a problem as long as they are leash trained. I’m currently working from home full time. I can be flexible on when walks occur but am fairly busy between 8-5 and need some heads up to plan around meetings. I do not have a fenced in yard but will take your dog on frequent walks or as needed if you’re booking that service. I’m careful to follow instructions on how to get into your house for walks and lock up on the way out.

About: I love dogs and animals - they really are the best! I have owned three for many years, raising two from being puppies, and addressing challenging behavior with an older doggo, in addition to fostering multiple rescue dogs. I recently moved to WI, and my pets stayed home with my partner for now, and miss my furry companions and want to provide love and care for yours while I’m here! I am happy to work with you on what’s best, whether that is house sitting, boarding, or simply letting your animals out on walks or to go potty. Let’s chat! I currently work from home and have a remote job, so can provide your dog with any needs or attention that makes sense based on their schedule. I have some in-person meetings that occur throughout the week, and am generally around on the weekends regularly. If planning on boarding or daycare, my apartment is very dog-friendly, with many residents having pets and there are plenty of amenities available, whether walking around the neighborhood on leash or playing in the apartment’s fenced in dog run, that will give your pet what it needs. I can easily crate, take out for potty breaks, etc. I am also mindful of dog reactivity regardless of my own or neighbor’s dogs.
“Ben and Kassy were awesome! My dog DouDou was only 8 months old and very nervous and shy and we booked a daycare first to let him get along with them and make new friends. They try their best to help familiarize him with their place, and their dogs. I can tell they love dogs a lot!”

“We are very grateful to Tracy. She took care of our adolescent dog with his first experience with daycare. We had a sudden family emergency that required someone to look after our pub. She was open and communicative which was very helpful. Would recommend to others.”

“Emily took great care of our pup, Toby! He is 10 weeks old and she was capable of managing the extra needs of a young puppy. Emily was very communicative and responsive to messages. We would send our pup to be cared for by her again!”

“Cynthia’s pupdates are THE BEST! I look forward to her primo photos & pupdates every time. My pup Popsicle gets so excited when she sees Cynthia. Hands-down the most thoughtful, caring pup-sitter that I have encountered. ✨”

“I'm thrilled I found this family to take care of my chocolate lab. Came to Madison for a wedding looking to find someone to wear out my dog. I sure did find great family. They have nice size property for her to run around, toys , and a bonus kiddie water pool. I picked her up and she fell asleep right away before we made it too the hotel. Thank you. I will use them again whenever I'm back in Madison.”

About: I started pet sitting at age 12. I’m comfortable with all animals from exotic to barnyard (ex. Horses, pigs, bearded dragons, wolf-dogs, fox, skunks, parrots and ferrets). I have had my dog for six years, and I recently took in a senior cat over the summer whom has adjusted flawlessly. I am a full time student and currently unemployed during my pregnancy journey. I spend most days at home, as most of my coursework is online. My pets are crate trained and respect boundaries. I also have baby gates for separation. I do not require crate training but it is extremely helpful if your pet is, so please let me know!
About: I've taken care of pets since I was little. My first job was pet sitting my neighbors dog and two cats. One of my favorite memories from childhood was volunteering at my local humane society in Florida. I did that for multiple years and helped walk dogs and entertain the cats. We always had dogs growing up and have had cats and a guinea pig before as well. I've always loved taking care of animals and would be honored to take care of your pet! :) I work from home, so will have plenty of time to interact with your animals throughout the day. I usually run an errand or go to the gym after work but other than that I am at home most of the time and can shower your pet with love and attention or give them space if preferred! :) I live in a 2 story home with a basement and side yard (no fenced backyard). My neighborhood is very walking friendly and my home is very safe! I have plenty of space to crate your pet if preferred.
About: I grew up training and showing dogs and will always have a soft spot in my heart for them, especially seniors! I pet-sit for friends and family regularly, and recently decided to open my home to some new furry friends that will keep me company while I work from home. I work from home regularly and love to have a companion during the day, especially for lunch time walks. Overnight boarding works great too with my flexible schedule! I will do my best to follow your dog's regular schedule so that they are comfortable! I can easily let dogs out during the day. I have experience giving dogs medicine (usually a marshmallow or some cheese will do the trick!) As I'm home all day, I could accommodate a dog with separation anxiety.

Whether it’s feeding, medication, or cuddles, I make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and at home all day long. I prioritize your pet's safety and well-being above all else. “Our 3 dogs love going to Kara’s. They run in the door and barely look back at us. We know they’re having a great time by the photos Kara sends us during their stay. She takes wonderful care of them.”

“Jackie is a great sitter! She is very communicative, and I appreciated that she introduced Cleo to her dogs one at a time, and in an intentional way (in the yard first). She's clearly knowledgeable about dog behavior and best practices. We'll definitely use her again!”

“Doug had a wonderful time at Kayla's house. They took amazing care of him and sent a lot of pictures. He must have played a lot because he was so tired when he got home. We will absolutely use her again!”

“Ella was really sweet for helping me find a sitter last minute. Her communication before, during, and after was impeccable! It made me feel assured that Remy was in good hands while in her care. I highly recommend!”

Burke Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Laura was absolutely amazing with my 6 month old puppy Apollo, I wish I could hire her as my own full time dog sitter! She was caring, an absolute animal lover, and she had a day full of activities for Apollo. I am a first time pup mama and it always makes me so nervous to leave Apollo with someone else. This is my first time sending Apollo to someone else’s home. Laura sent multiple updates through out the day with photos. Laura has her own dogs and cats and introduced them to my rambunctious puppy safely. I was most worried about my puppy being around other animals due to his extreme energy, but she was very reassuring that this is just how puppies are and not to worry. Best part is Laura makes her very own homemade treats, and was sure to ask about sensitivities and even sent me her ingredient list to be safe. 1000/10 recommend, will not hesitate to utilize her again.
