“Lexy was able to get close (physically) to my very shy calico cat during her first visit. I don't believe she was able to touch her but just getting within 2 feet sometimes takes a long time. Lexy is very gentle and takes her time which is very much needed. Of course food and water and clean-up was handled well. I recommend Lexy of course, just don't keep her busy when I need her- ha!”

About: I’ve been caring for cats since I was 15, when I began volunteering at my local animal shelter, Friends of the Animals in Phoenix. During my time there, I worked exclusively in the feline section, where I cared for both elderly cats and young kittens. I have experience with bottle feeding, supporting cats with disabilities, administering medications, and applying ointments or other topical treatments. Over the years, I’ve had two cats of my own. My current cat lives with me and has a disability that I help manage day to day. Cats hold a very special place in my heart—befriending them has always felt like a natural gift, and I truly love building trust and connection with each one I meet. I currently care for a cat with disabilities—she has sensitive skin that requires daily management, and an overactive bladder that can cause occasional issues. I stay close to her most of the day to help ease her separation anxiety and keep her comfortable. When I was younger, my first cat struggled with obesity, and I took an active role in supporting her through a healthy diet and gentle exercise to improve her quality of life. I genuinely love spending time with cats, and that extends beyond my own—several neighborhood cats often hang around my home, and I happily care for them too. I have a disabled cat that i take care of. She has bad skin that i help her manage and she has an over active bladder that sometimes causes problems so i usually spend all day with her to ease her separation anxiety. And when i was younger my first cat was overweight and id spend my time helping her with her diet and exercise so she wouldnt suffer. I love spending time with cats too so i take care of the neighborhood cats that hang around my house. I can feed your cat, help administer medications or ointments. I can spend time with them, play with them. Clean their litterbox or give them a bath. I can clean up after them or aid in special care if the cat has a disability. I can also bottle feed and care for kittens that may have been abandoned by their mom or just help manage kittens and make sure they dont get into something they shouldnt. its all stuff ive done before both at home and volunteering.

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs nearly all my life. I have a chihuahua named Mae who I rescued as a 6-week-old puppy. Taking care of her for the past 7 years has been the greatest joy of my life. I love all animals and I’m very excited to take care of other dogs in need of care. I am gentle, attentive, perceptive, and extremely detailed and thorough. I won’t miss a thing! I’ve unfortunately had to help my pup through several health crises due to her chronic health conditions and I’m very familiar with emergency care. Being a rescue with behavioral issues, I am also very skilled at managing difficult behaviors such as food aggression. I look forward to supporting your fur baby! I am currently available for pet care any day, any time. I am new to Portland and still searching for full-time work. My only other priority is caring for my own dog as well. I am happy to care for your pets in your home, whether it’s a drop-in visit, a few hours, or an overnight stay. For overnight stays, I will also need to bring my chihuahua, who cooperates with dogs who are not aggressive towards her.

About: my entire life I've grew up with animals that I have loved and taken care of. I'd be so excited to take care of someone else's pets. I have a schedule that is not consistent, I have a full time job. I always work weekends. But that doesn't mean I cant stop by and check on them throughout the day but I won't be able to spend full days with them unless I'm off. but I can be there as much as I'm needed through the night. unfortunately I can not board any pets in my home. The other residents wouldnt appreciate that including the territorial cat and bulldogs who like to guard the house

About: I grew up around dogs, cats, fish, etc. I have loved animals for as long as I can remember and want to love on them as much as possible. I am currently in school and making my way into becoming an ultrasound tech. I have availability throughout the week, and some weekend days. I won’t always be able to stay overnight with pets, but I will be able to check on them multiple times. My cats are indoor, and we are vigilant about making sure their escape attempts are not successful. I keep their flea meds up to date, and do my very best to not get behind on them. They also always have a warm blanket, pillow, couch or bed to lounge on.

About: I started my first pet sitting business when I was just around 7-8 years old. I used to pet sit out here in the same area of Ruch. I grew up out here. As an adult now, with many of my own animals, I am now offering my services again. I rarely go anywhere because I do not like being away from home and my animals. I'm almost always available and close by (servicing only Ruch). I grew up with, and took care of, many kinds of animals; horses, donkeys, goats, dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, rabbits, etc. Being around animals gives me life and I love to help make animals feel special while their humans are away. It's already stressful for them, and for you too, so make it easier with someone who talks to them and makes sure that they feel special. I live at home with my hubby and he adored by every animal that meets him. He even stole my main doggy daycare client! Know when animals are here, they're cherished by both of us. I have my own small businesses that I can work on anytime I feel like it from home, which gives me great flexibility. I am available to take care of critters in the Ruch area almost any day, minus some appointments that I have sometimes. In my home: To protect my own cats and dogs, for day care, I need to ensure that your dog is friendly with my animals, vaccinated, and protected from fleas and ticks. Outside is fenced in with no climb fencing and acreage for roaming around our house, they get to let me know when they want to go outside, or come inside. My dogs knock on the door and tell me what they want (in or out). I'm sure they will teach your dog to do the same. When inside, we read, nap, cuddle on the couch, floor, in front of the wood stove, or in a crate if your dog desires. Outside, there are a couple of acres to run and explore. I spend all day tending to my dogs and can do this for yours too. For pet-sitting, where I come to your home, I would like to meet your pets ahead of time. I feel that it is important for them to meet me before you go away somewhere. I will follow your typical routine with feeding, potty breaks, play and cuddle time.

About: I've taken care of many dogs. I have trained puppies and also have experience with senior dogs. Very well versed in all things dog related. I currently own my own business and work for myself. So my schedule can be open anytime to fit the needs of my clients schedule. I have a fenced yard on 7.5 acres. I have one very friendly bordoodle and two cats. I am also very aware of dogs needs and keep a good eye on them.

About: I have been caring for animals of ALL kinds since I was a small child. Animals seem to always gravitate towards me. I am a stay at home mom so I am almost always at home. I have taken care of older ill dogs, so am more than capable of administering medications or even therapeutic massage. I never use any toxic chemicals in or around my home as I have two small children and am extremely health conscious. I hike a lot so if you have an energetic dog, they would surely fit in around here :) I currently am a stay at home mom so caretaking comes very naturally for me. Both my children are HUGE animal lovers as well and they have always had a dog in their lives so from an early age they learned the proper ways to care for and respect animals. Your pet would get lots of attention here without overwhelming the animal as there is complete respect of for space one needs at any given time. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of leg room. I have an extremely friendly borderdoodle and a playful kitty that I share space with. I love to walk in the woods, go to parks, and even walk around the neighborhood often. There is a park walkable distance so I frequently go there to let Bruno off leash so he can chase a ball. I maintain a clean home with only natural non toxic products and good old fashion vinegar water . I always have a huge stock of naturally healthy dog treats on deck as well. I currently work from home and stay home with my youngest daughter. So your pet will always be with someone and will have access to the yard at any time they need to go out. As well having a huge basket of dog toys to explore :) I have a fenced in yard and have 2 fur babies. One being canine the other a friendly feline. They are both extremely friendly. The animals are always allowed to roam freely throughout the house and backyard.
