About: My lifelong journey with animals began on a farm, where 4-H and showing sheep taught me the responsibility required to keep animals healthy and well-cared for. After a 20-year career as a project manager in the tech industry, I am now following my true passion: caring for animals! I train a few hours a week as a junior dog groomer, but other than that, most of my work is from home, so I can spend a great deal of time with your fur babies. Dog Boarding/Daycare: In my home, I provide a low-stress environment designed for the comfort of smaller breeds (under 30 lbs). My day begins with a health check—looking at eyes, ears, and paws—a habit from my grooming training. We follow a structured routine of supervised play in my secure, fenced-in garden, followed by 'quiet time' in the house to prevent over-stimulation. Since I have two small-breed dogs, I ensure all interactions are gentle. If they are used to a kennel, I will follow their normal pattern, based on your input. I provide frequent photo updates so you can see their 'day at the garden' in real-time. For Drop-In Visits (Cats & Dogs) For home visits, my priority is maintaining your pet’s existing routine to minimize anxiety. For Dogs: I focus on a productive potty break, fresh water, and a 'sniffari' (a mental-stimulation walk) or indoor play. For Cats: I focus on their specific social needs—whether they want active play with a wand or just a calm presence nearby while I refresh their food and litter. I always perform a home security check before leaving (ensuring doors are locked and water bowls are full) and leave a detailed 'petdate' on how they behaved and what we did. For Dog Walking Walks are tailored to your dog’s energy level and the weather. Growing up on a farm, I am hyper-aware of animal body language and surroundings. I practice 'defensive walking,' meaning I am always scanning for other off-leash dogs or distractions to keep your pup safe. I also pay close attention to Shreveport’s heat; I check pavement temperatures and ensure we stay hydrated and shaded. After our walk, I’ll wipe their paws and make sure they are settled back in safely.

“Emilie is absolutely the best person to take care of your pets! I had planned a 4 day trip that turned into a week long trip due to Snowmageddon 2021. This amazing woman took care of my babies for a week and there was only one day she wasn't able to get here when it was icing. There were a couple days she WALKED blocks to my house in the snow and ice to make sure they were taken care of! She also cleaned up from when my pup had a couple accidents in the house on the worst days of the ice/snow. She went above and beyond for my fur babies and sent photos of the pets and the snow and gave updates about their doings and my water/heat/electric as well. You will be wonderfully pleased if you have her sit for you!”

I was a zoo keeper for 6 years, so I have experience with reptiles and exotics. I worked in a vet clinic as a kennel tech, so I do have vet care knowledge. I also do really well with geriatric pets. I am a full time pet sitter so my days are spent caring for peoples fur babies! I do not have another job so my availability is pretty open. I will treat your fur babies like my own! I always double check gates, doors, locks, kennel latches, etc. I’m very aware of surroundings and will always check to make sure there is nothing the pet could get into that would harm them.

About: I’ve worked with cats and dogs in various clinic settings (day practice, emergency medicine, and shelters) as a receptionist, basic groomer, and a vet technician. I pet sit more for clients of the hospitals more back in the day, but I still do it here and there and I am excited to be bringing it back more now. I am just as comfortable medicating your pet as I am walking them or making their day a little better with a visit to play! I am a teacher, taking some time away from the classroom, so I am available during the day. I work as needed at our local animal emergency clinic so some nights might be hard but it really depends on my availability and what you are needing. I love going to the gym but I can always build that schedule around what you need me for! My partner and I have a large fenced in back yard, one dog, and 9 cats. I am more comfortable going to a clients home to take care of their baby or babies as to not stress them out and not stress our cats out. I can make it work though if I absolutely needed to. I require and follow any guidelines and directions given to me by the pet parent to make sure the pets are safe and happy!

About: I’ve been caring for Dogs for the last 12 years from all kinds of breeds. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding with their schedule, and keeping them active and happy! I am currently in the airforce, I am available between Thursday, Friday and Saturdays to spend time with your pups. I’m also available mornings and nights or whatever works for you:) I will make sure they go on plenty of walk and go outside. They also will get all the love and attention they need. I will also make sure they always have a source of water!
