About: I am very open and flexible schedule-wise, I don't mind getting up early if needed. I have experience with my own shitzu-poodle (Mocha), and my black cat (Gravy), as well as my neighbors various cats and dogs. I am a college student, so my only responsibility is to attend my classes. I have a lot of large gaps between/before classes where I can go let pets out for potty breaks, take them on a walk, give them food, etc,. I am very flexible. I have time to do multiple visits a day. I'm able to visit before classes, in between classes, and after. Any excuse to get out of my dorm is a good one 😅 I am more than willing to prepare food for pets, administer medications, or just spend some time with the pets if desired. Overall, I want to maintain a respectful and trusting relationship with clients.

I have been dedicated to animal care from a young age, always showing a strong passion for helping animals in need. Over 15 years ago, I began working with rescue dogs while searching for the right dog to adopt. During this time, I adopted my first and third foster dogs, later welcoming a third rescue into my home. I continued fostering dogs until 2018, by which point I was caring for five of my own, along with chickens, goats, horses, ducks, and other animals. Additionally, I volunteered and worked at an animal sanctuary specializing in behavioral modification training, focusing on rehabilitating dogs with the most challenging backgrounds. I am currently employed full-time, working 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. I base my life around the well being of my companion! I love my dog and his happiness means everything to me. I currently work M-Thurs 10-hour day shifts. I walk my dog on a leash, unless im in an area that is safe for him to be off leash (Chena or Tanan Lake areas.) I do take my dog to the dog park for some socialization as i believe it is very important to keep him social with other dogs and humans. My dog does sleep on my bed. As far as taking care of clients pets, I will respect their wishes with how they want their loved one taken care of.

My working history includes multiple years volunteering at an animal shelter, multiple years at the Denali National Park Sled Dog Kennel, and a year at an Iditarod Kennel here in Fairbanks. About: I've had pets for as long as I can remember and I'm that person that will go out of my way to make sure an animal is happy and content. Family, friends and neighbors fully entrust me with the care and transport of their pets and can rest their minds because they know their pet is in good hands. I send texts, pics and any other updates of how their beloved furry family member is doing while they're away. One time I was watching my friend's senior cat while she was away. We lived in very rural Alaska at the time where the nearest vet was a 3 hour drive. He was fine for the first couple of days, then out of nowhere he became very lethargic. Low energy and wasn't eating. I noticed a rather large, soft lump on his head between his ears which I thought to be an abscess. I reached into my background as a medical assistant and decided to drain the fluid. Once I did, he jumped back to his old self... purrring, playing, eating. Yes, I know taking him to the vet is the best option, but sometimes you do what needs to be done. While I love both cats and dogs and am willing to care for both, the dog would have to be the right fit. Meaning, due to my injury, I'm not able to go on runs like I used to or long walks. I am currently recovering from an on the job injury, so my schedule is very flexible. I am available most any time aside from my physical therapy appointments once a week. Don't let my injury deter you. I am strong, mobile and more than capable of most activities minus running or long walks. I prefer taking care of pets in the comfort of their home. I am both dependable and reliable as a house/pet sitter or drop in.

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
