Lilo also has separation anxiety when we are gone, and would be hesitant to go on walks, for which Joshua was extremely patient and kind towards her with encouraging her to put on her harness and walk. Joshua is very good at leash training and so Lilo followed his lead with walks very well. He even got a retractable leash so that she can sniff at her own pace and run around while on walks, making walks very enjoyable for her! He was able to gain her trust such that within a couple days, she was already sleeping by his side. We are dog fosterers ourselves who work with anxious dogs with trauma, so we know it’s not easy to leave your pet (especially if they struggle without you around) with a completely new person. We HIGHLY recommend Joshua to be your new pet sitter because he’s extremely kind, responsible with Lilo’s needs and schedule, and is a natural at winning over our dog (who is usually suspicious of new people). He kept Lilo both safe and comforted physically and emotionally throughout the time we were away. About: Hi, I’m Jade! A little about me: I grew up in a home with a Great Dane, bunny, and cockatiel! My passion for animals took off through one of my first jobs working in a pet store. More recently, through an amazing fostering experience, my passion grew and I became all-in for animals. I work currently as a receptionist at a vet clinic and plan to get my vet tech license in a couple of years. I love all parts of my job, but most of all seeing the patients!!! I am new to Rover, but I have been watching the pets of my friends and family for years. I have cared for dogs with special instructions and have done check-ins, morning and night, as well as stay-overnights. I love animals of all kinds, and am excited to get to know yours and get all the cuddles I can! I am interested in expanding my care and experience in taking care of animals, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with special cases! It is my hope that I can earn your trust to care for your fur baby(ies) like they’re my own while you’re away :) I’m mostly doing pet care on my weekends and days off, where I will be most readily available to make sure your pets get the most thorough care I can give. I can, however, do very early morning and later night check ins if needed. I want to make sure you feel comfortable with your pet in my care and am happy to send you as many updates and pictures as you need! I will handle your fur baby with so much love and affection and make sure I stick to any instructions you may have for me!

Brittingham Apartments pet parents share their Rover experiences
Scott was our first introduction to Rover. We really appreciated that he could come on short notice to sit with our 22-week old puppy. We loved Scott's relaxed and gentle way with our dog who is so excited to meet someone new, but is still in manners training in how to greet people. Scott quickly picked up on what we were trying to teach and went along with that routine. Scott arrived on the dot of our agreed time and we plan to ask him to come again!
Genevieve was amazing with our two dogs and cat! One of our dogs is old, incontinent, deaf, and medicated. The other is a barky puppy. And the cat...well she's an avid rodent hunter. Genevieve handled our zoo like an all star pro. We came home to happy animals and a clean house! She will be our first call going forward!

Annmarie has watched Winston for us multiple times now. She really goes above and beyond to make sure our boy is well taken care of! Our pup is not an easy dog, and requires multiple attempts at walks and potty breaks. She's patient and caring with him - making sure all his needs are met while we're away! Not only does she take great care of Winston, she goes above and beyond to keep us updated while we're away. We're so grateful to have found such a wonderful pet sitter.
Vanessa is a great cat sitter! She gives my cats plenty or playtime and petting. She sent pictures of the cats to me everyday while I was on vacation with a report on how they were doing. Totally gave me peace of mind while I was away and allowed me to enjoy my vacation without worrying about my cats. :)
Sophie took amazing care of Ernest - she gave me detailed updates, communicated clearly and was careful to ask questions to understand what Ernest needed, and most importantly pampered Ern and made sure he could stick to his normal routine as much as possible while I was away. I came home to a happy and relaxed dog!
OMGoodness, GRACE! Please trust us when we say that Grace is truly the sweetest sitter who did an amazing job of balancing doing her online school work and giving such loving attention to our two dogs. Our little dog - who is usually very suspect of / shy around new people - instantly loved her (which seriously never happens!) and she figured out ways to help calm our old anxious dog (by going on a sniffy walk and by lovingly letting her basically paw her face off). Grace came for a quick meet and greet the day before the sit, which made everyone feel much more at ease, and that was very generous of her time. During the sit, we had some unexpected circumstances arise, and Grace was more than willing to roll with the punches and adjust parameters and timing of the sit, etc. We will most definitely be asking for Grace to be a sitter for us in the future… And you will be extremely happy to do the same, no questions asked :)
Julia was absolutely amazing, I do not have enough positive things to say! She was patient and understanding with my dog who’s a retired breeder and still learning the way of being a pet.
