About: I’ve gotten a lot of practice in dog sitting with 2 different roommates I lived with who had dogs, whether it only be an overnight of caring for them or an entire trip’s worth time. And I really bonded with both dogs! I just love animals in general too and am looking forward to caring for more furry friends now that I don’t live with one anymore! Over the summer I work one part time job so I should have availability for visiting them either morning or evening or both. Sometimes I will have daytime availability as well. I enjoy a semi active lifestyle, so I would be very open to getting outdoors with your pet too! During the school year I work 2 jobs, so my flexibility may be a little more limited come fall, but I should still have some availability. Happy to try to work things out with scheduling! When I have lived with pets, I do like to provide them with lots of love and make sure I can balance my schedule to at least spend a little time with them each day. I make sure they are able to get outside and exercise if they and their owners wish.
About: Hello! My name is Melo. I am a full time pet lover! I am blessed with 4 beautiful cats, and a gorgeous Beta Fish! Since a young age I have had a huge passion for animals. I grew up taking care of dogs, cats, chinchillas, sugar gliders, and lizards. I would do it all again in a heartbeat! My passion for animals extends to my friends and family’s fur babies. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
