“5 stars! Can’t sing Julie enough praises! I feel so absolutely at ease while my Cookie is in Julie’s care. Thank you for being a safe and comfortable place for our pup.”

About: I grew up on a farm in Texas, where I had at least four dogs and six cats in the house throughout my life. I love pets more than anything! To that extent, I worked in a boarding kennel throughout high school and college before Rover existed. I now have five years of experience with Rover and Wag in multiple cities and states. My experience in boarding kennels and with Rover has allowed me to see and handle a wide range of situations in high-stress environments while having been professionally responsible for the safety and comfort of hundreds of animals. I will always provide compassionate care for your pets, as my goal is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed during your time away, just as much as your furry companions do with me. As a PhD student, I have the flexibility to read and write at home, and I enjoy alleviating stress with pet care. Additionally, my husband works from home, so the house almost always has a human or two around :) Pet safety is my number one priority. A close second is providing a comfortable and fun environment. For boarding and daycare, the basement is set up for pups to relax and play, and the house is segmented by gates to secure their safety as well as protect our belongings. I provide crates for separation if necessary, particularly around feeding time or depending on the night routine. Additionally, I have a spacious, fenced backyard (our favorite part of the house!), and I will always supervise pups when outside. I pick up poop immediately and keep an eye on whether curious mouths pick up things. For the extra adventurous pups, I also have a 30ft tie-out cable for additional security. Although I have a cat in the house, she stays exclusively in the primary bedroom, and with many gates and doors in place, the likelihood of the pups encountering her is extremely low. For drop-ins, I assure you that I will follow your directions and leave your home in the same condition as when you left it originally. My reviews can attest to that :)

“You two were Awesome! Thank you so much for taking such great care of Ruger. He had a blast and he wants to come back there! After the meet & greet on Friday, when we pulled into your driveway for dogsitting on Saturday, he remembered where he was again and we could hardly control him getting out of our truck to get into your place......he was so excited to come there🤣. Again, a BIG Thanks and see you again soon! Brian & Linda P.S. He's still worn out from playing all day there🤪😁”

“Drew is the best!!! Wilson loves him! We have been over several times he literally drags me to the door with excitement when we arrive:) I always have peace of mind leaving Wilson with Uncle Drew, anytime we go to Madison we will definitely re book.”

“Megan was absolutely wonderful! Very friendly and I loved the updates. Lazlo was very Happy and had a Fun day 🐕🦺😃 Will Definitely be a repeat client!!”

“Cynthia and Mark are wonderful. They have watched our dog, Tigger, multiple times. They send updates and photos and Tigger always comes home happy.”

“Wolfy had such a great day with Mary and her family. He can back very happy, and Mary sent several lovely photos of his time. Mary was also flexible with me when my plans changed after booking, which was so appreciated.”

“Penny had a wonderful stay at Laura's. She played with the big dogs running around, tug of war, and general romping. Laura was attentive to 3.5-month old puppy needs and took her out for regular potty breaks. Penny continued learning social skills with Laura and her pets!”

“Our 2 year old Norfolk Terrier Finn recently spent the day with Robert and had a fabulous time! Lots of walks for Finn and pictures sent to us during the day. I had great piece of mind knowing that Finn was well cared for by Robert, who is great with dogs (as well as people too)! I would have Finn stay with Robert again for sure!”

“Manu is very flexible and communicative! She always treats our pup with the best care. Our pup is always so excited to hang with Manu! Would highly recommend Manu to anyone looking for a dog sitter who gives lots of love and care!”

“Emily took great care of my puppy. I had a great experience and highly recommend her.”

“My little Westie loves Suellen and her two sweet dogs. They treat her like one of their own. It's great for me to be able to drop her off for the day, knowing she'll have fun and be safe.”

About: I have been self-employed as a full-time dog sitter for the past 15 years. Prior to opening my dog sitting business I worked as an assistant dog trainer using positive reinforcement training methods. I require a meet and greet before confirming dates so you can see where your dog will be staying, you and your dog(s) can meet me in-person and see the house and yard. We will also discuss their care and specific needs. I have been a dog parent since 2004. I am a full-time dog sitter so I am always with the dogs to ensure they are properly cared for and getting all the exercise, love and attention they deserve. Dogs go in/out as much as they want and get all the love and attention they would just like at home. The yard is fully fenced and there is a ramp so senior dogs have an easier time getting in/out. I have crates set up for those dogs that are normally crated but it is not required for a dog to be crated. All dogs are allowed on the furniture and there are several dogs beds to choose from as well. Of course you can always bring your own if your dog would feel more comfortable having something from home. There is no shortage of treats, cuddles and time outside. I have experience caring for senior dogs, those with medical conditions, separation anxiety and fear of new people.

About: As a lifelong dog lover, I care deeply about your pets wellbeing and safety. I’ve grown up with dogs and frequently watch neighbors animals while they’re away. Additionally, I have a lot of experience with childcare and babysitting! I am currently a student at UW. Right now, I am very flexible in the summer months and would love to help care for your dogs. I work part-time, but when I am not working I enjoy spending time outside and exploring Madison. I am extremely flexible to the owners needs and previously established routines. I will ensure pet safety as the most prominent feature of my care.

“Small space, huge heart. Julie was great with our exuberant furbabies, Boss and Inja, and they clearly had a wonderful time! While there's not a huge space for them to run, they got plenty of activity and action playing with her and the other pups, and they came home exhausted even after sneaking in snuggles with Julie on the couch. Very happy with their experience and looking forward to them spending more time with Julie, Duncan, and the other visiting pack members!”

About: I have had dogs all of my life of all breeds - mostly Labradors but everything from Great Danes to Jack Russels! I can care for puppies, seniors, and dogs with special needs. I love giving dogs the individual attention they deserve! I am currently between jobs so I am highly available to watch your dogs! I would love to spend my days playing with your dogs I have a completely fenced yard and two friendly labs that love to play with new friends. The yard is big enough for your pup to get lots of exercise and energy out

About: I have taken care of both cats and dogs since I was a child. I have two dogs of my own that I have raised and trained since they were puppies. I have also met and worked with several dog trainers to enhance my own knowledge and understanding of our furry friends! I work from home full time so I am available for playtime, walks and bathroom breaks. While I am out and about at times, my weekends are flexible so I can spend as much time with your pet as needed. While I do live in an apartment, I live right next door walking paths that are perfect for outdoor activity. I also have a fenced in dog run for sniffs and exploring. If your pet is looking for a friend, I have two dogs who will be able to keep your pup entertained. We have two crates in the apartment for quiet time if needed.

“Briana is such a kind and empathetic individual! Although my doggy day care was last minute, I felt reassured that Semi was in good hands. Truly someone you can trust with your pups!”

“Nicole and her kids were great. They were very kind and caring with my dog snooper. They have two other dogs that of course want to protect their owner .. but Nicole was careful to keep them on leash or contained during meet n greet. She thoughtfully considered my apprehension about leaving snooper with 3 dogs (they had another for day care I learned later) and figured out ways to keep the dogs separated. The kids were so loving to little snooper I think he had a lot of private attention! Nicole sets a great example for dog care for her kids—- as did her father who was around during meet and greet. So nice to see children take such loving interest in animals.”

“Hope is your dog's mom-away-from-home. She holds a place in her heart for each of her guests, however frequently they visit, and my dog is so happy to arrive that as he enters the front door he never looks back at me as I say goodbye. He gets to choose whether he's going to the quiet & relaxing area, or the rambunctious play area with both guest and resident dogs who are well-socialized and well-behaved. Hope is an excellent communicator, happily providing the updates you need, and after my experiences with her, I would never take my dog back to one of the large boarding businesses in the area.”

14. Brooke R.
“I wholeheartedly recommend Brooke as a loving and reliable pet caregiver. She brings years of experience as a babysitter and nanny, not only for children but also for their pets. Her deep sense of empathy and attentiveness ensures that animals in her care feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. As a devoted dog owner, Brooke has hands-on experience with both the playful energy of puppies as well as the needs of older dogs. Her calm, nurturing presence and sense of responsibility make her an exceptional choice for anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate caregiver for their pet.”

17. Alexandra F.
“Alexandra was a wonderful dog sitter while I was out of town on a week long family vacation. She was a very attentive sitter and maintained the schedule and habits that we communicated to ensure Bailey (my dog) didn’t miss a beat in her routine. I even messaged her to do an early check in because I had seen on my pet cam Bailey getting into some trouble and Alexandra was extremely responsive and quick to head over to check on the situation. Alexandra demonstrated extensive canine understanding of how to handle and take care of dogs which made me confident in my decision to leave my pup in her caring hands. Alexandra truly went above and beyond and I would recommend her to pet sit for anyone!”

20. Katie G.
“I always say never trust a person that your dog doesn't like. My dog Alfonso doesn't just like Katie but one could say he is in love. Anytime Katie has watched my four legged pooch Alfonso, Alfonso has come back happy but almost disappointed that I wasn't gone longer so he could stay and play. Although a bruise to my ego, it is a relief to know that he is being more than taken care of. From a humans perspective, Katie's nature is kind and loving, she has always been responsive to our needs and requests and I always know that my dog is in good hands when left with her.”
