“Angela is a great dogsitter. Our dogs love her and she always makes sure they are very well taken care of. We have had her take care of our dogs a couple of times and we were very happy. On our return, the house and flowers were also in great shape. We definitely recommend her as a dogsitter.”

“Kayla is awesome! She’s done a great job dog & house sitting for us! She sends lots of photos and updates of our pups, and always leave the house in great condition! We will definitely book Kayla again in the future.”

“Ty did an amazing job! We have quite a house full of dogs and cats and she was able to manage all of them beautifully. All my dogs couldn’t get enough love and attention from her while she was at our home. Ty has a natural gift when it comes to caring for animals and I couldn’t recommend her more to anyone needing a house sitter for your fur babies!”

“This was our first time having someone stay to watch our three standard poodles. I was nervous when picking someone. I read reviews and decided Robert was the one. I hope my review can help others find someone like Robert for their dogs. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. We felt so comfortable with Robert. He stayed at our house and took great care of our dogs. He took them on walks and sent me super sweet pictures. We will definitely be using him again.”

About: I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I absolutely adore animals of all kinds, especially cats. I have experience caring for my kitty that had cancer, including providing subcutaneous fluids, medications/fluids/food through a feeding tube, and administering liquid, capsule, tablet, and transdermal medications. I also have experience with other feline medical issues, such as chronic urinary blockages and feline asthma. Further, I have never lived in a home without a dog, and have a background in animal behavior, training, grooming, and health. I have no problem providing medications to any animals and have experience with seniors. I love dogs of all sizes, especially huge dogs! I am available 24/7 and am extremely flexible with scheduling! I am fully self-employed and I have an extremely open schedule. I have no problem with short-notice cancellations or applications, and will almost always be able to take on your request! I will fully adapt to you and your pet’s schedule. My job is to maintain your pet’s wellbeing and enrichment, so that is what I’m there to do!
About: From my experience in shelter care and veterinary medicine, I am very comfortable with caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and medical needs. I have dealt with strays and owned pets from every imaginable background, and I believe every animal is worthy of patience, respect, and affection. I’m currently unemployed so I have a very open schedule for watching your dogs and cats! I typically let my own dogs out about 4-5 times a day, and they each have their own feeding schedule that I attend to as needed. I am very flexible right now, and would also be available to do fluids, injections, and other specific medical and behavioral needs (e.g., extra walks, extra play time, etc.). I have a fenced in yard and three friendly dogs, and two sweet cats, to keep your furbaby company. I am comfortable crating dogs and have an extra crate for a small-medium dog. One of my dogs is a senior dog with special needs, so I am perfectly comfortable housing and caring for dogs who have their own special needs. I also have a dog with epilepsy so I am very used to dealing with seizures and the safety precautions that go along with them. These dogs have also never met a stranger, and our home is an overall very welcoming environment to all creatures (I even have a pet spider!).
About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and current pet parent to a 10-year-old terrier mix, so I understand the care, patience, and attention pets need at every stage of life. We take trips to Shelby Farms and occasionally visit Overton Park, and I truly enjoy staying active and engaged with dogs during walks and outings. Before my current dog, I cared for my previous dog for 11 years, giving me extensive experience with senior dogs, long-term routines, and recognizing changes in behavior or comfort. I love dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels—from playful puppies to older, calmer companions. I’ve also provided house sitting and pet sitting services for dogs and cats in Oxford, MS. I follow care instructions closely and focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and relaxed in their own environment. I’m happy to take dogs to nearby parks if requested and always prioritize your pet’s routine and well-being. Pet care is already part of my daily routine. As a dog owner, my days are structured around regular walks, outdoor time, feeding schedules, and check-ins, so adding client pets fits in seamlessly. We take daily walks and park visits, and I’m happy to adjust timing based on your pet’s normal routine. I build my schedule to allow for consistency and flexibility, whether that means morning, midday, or evening visits. I’m reliable with timing, comfortable following detailed instructions, and make sure pets receive the attention and care they need without feeling rushed. For house sitting and drop-ins, I plan my week around booked services to ensure each pet gets focused, unhurried care and plenty of attention. For drop-ins and dog walks, I keep things simple, dependable, and matched to your pet’s routine. During drop-ins, I take care of feeding, water, litter or potty breaks, and a little playtime or cuddles so your pet feels comfortable. For dog walks, I make sure your pup gets a safe, enjoyable stroll that fits their energy level. My goal is to show up like a good neighbor — reliable, caring, and right on schedule.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 392 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Braden. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Braden walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Braden maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Braden choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Braden. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
