“Very responsive, punctual, great with our dog Jett (even when he is sometimes stubborn and won’t go back into his crate), sends great photos, and is very patient. Will definitely request her services again”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 11 years old, and I’m comfortable with cats and dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. People have called me a “pet whisperer” because I have a calm, patient way of connecting with animals and earning their trust. I’m also physically strong and confident handling large, powerful, and energetic dogs, including dogs who need firm leash control, longer walks, structure, and plenty of activity. Safety, patience, and clear communication are always my priorities. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I carry my own premium Pet Care/Liability Insurance for your peace of mind. I’m available 7 days a week and have a flexible schedule throughout the day. I can help with morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night care depending on your pet’s needs. Whether you need regular visits, last-minute help, walks, drop-ins, or extended care, I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. I follow each client’s instructions closely and do my best to keep every pet’s routine consistent. I know every animal has their own personality and comfort level, so I take a patient, respectful approach to care. If your pet wants playtime, attention, or companionship, I’m happy to give that. If they are shy, anxious, independent, or simply prefer space, I’m just as comfortable keeping them company from a calm and safe distance. My goal is always to help your pet feel secure, respected, and well cared for.

“Tracie is amazing. She has saved the day for me a few times already with last minute walks. She is wonderful with my dogs and always takes lots of pictures and gives them lots of love and attention!”

“Jason listens carefully to what I like when it comes to training, as Roarke is in training to be a service dog. He also won Roarke’s affection right away. I would recommend him to anyone.”

“Jen and Jonathan walked our dog Little Belle twice a day for over an hour each time. Our dog loved them and couldn’t stop wiggling her tail whenever they arrived. They were super reliable and helpful and made this a great experience for all of us. We will definitely book them again!”

About: I am a local environmental science student with extensive experience in professional pet and house sitting. Having grown up with dogs and cats, I have provided dependable care for repeat clients since the age of 12. I would welcome the opportunity to care for your animals and can provide references upon request. I am a local college student with a flexible schedule, allowing me to commit to various shifts. I am generally available to work during evenings and on weekends. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my availability aligns with your current needs. Caring for my own two dogs led me to discover a passion for working with animals, and I am now seeking opportunities to gain professional experience as I pursue a career in this field. To ensure both you and your pets are comfortable, I typically offer a pre-visit to meet in person. This allows us to discuss your specific care instructions and ensures you are confident in my services as a caretaker.
“Emily arrived on time and was so friendly and warm greeting Sadie. She definitely provided Sadie a great walk and rewarding experience. I would definitely use Emily again?”

“Elizabeth is the BEST! Not only does she look out for our Pups, she looks out for us as well. I asked her if she wouldn’t mind taking the trash to the end of the driveway for me because I forgot to. She is a rockstar and did it for me. So helpful!”

“My girl Rosy is a special needs dog. She's afraid of everything. The 1st time she met Julian she licked him. He's sweet and kind and very patient with her. I highly recommend him.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs for most of my life, and have done some dogsitting and dog walking before. I’ll admit it’s been a bit since I had to focus on school work for my psych degree, but now that I have to wait till fall for grad school, I figured now is the time to help out some furry friends! I’m an animal lover at heart and am not only interested in, but willing to help with any accommodations! Our pets deserve the best after all! :) I only have class on Monday afternoons, but sadly the rest of my schedule is pretty up in the air right now. I tend to be more of a night owl so I can help cats when they’re more active at night. I tend to work best with detailed instructions. I don’t want to disturb any routine and want the animal to feel as comfortable as possible.
“Ryan was so attentive and went above and beyond for our leash-reactive pup on their twice-daily walks. He made us feel comfortable leaving the country and leaving our dog in someone else’s care.”

“I needed a dog walker last minute & thank God Michael was available. He made sure my dog used the bathroom multiple times, sent a picture & returned him back, no problems. Will absolutely book again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of a family friends cats and dog for a few years now! But before that I was either helping out at human society or caring for childhood friends and family pets! Im free most days of the week! I work part time at a florist, usually helping out on Fridays and weekends and also help out a catering business around three times a month. Moved my beloved kitty’s into our new house back in November, ever since we’ve been building cat walk and plan to build a catio for even more stimulation. I love to spoil mine and anyone else’s pets with love and treats, of course not to much so they maintain a healthy weight!
About: Hello! I am Camryn F., I am currently a veterinary assistant at a Veterinary Hospital in Frederick and am in veterinary technician school. I have always loved being around any animal/caring for them! I can commute and I am easy to get ahold of! I am so excited to be helping those in need of a responsible and reliable caretaker. I do have pets in my home, but they are loving and open to meeting new animals as long as the feeling is mutual between the animals as far as drop offs. Although I may only have 5 years of professional experience I have years of personal experience as I have owned various animals throughout my life time! I look forward to getting to know you and your animal and helping you in any way possible! Thank you I do work full time, and a couple days a week I do have long hours. I have every other weekend off as well as Thursdays. Saturday I have a half day and every Sunday is guaranteed off. I also have major Holidays off. I have many pets of my own at home and often find myself feeding them and caring for them before myself most days! Some may call that crazy, but it’s just the way I roll! I love all animals big and small :)
About: Simply put, I truly LOVE animals. I have always enjoyed spending time with, and playing with pets of all kinds. I will put your pets' needs above my own. I'm currently working full time, but I am usually home when not at work. I live 5 minutes away from my job, so I will always be available for your fur babies even while working if I need to be. I care for pets the same way I would care for a baby. Their needs are always more important than mine, and I will always make time for them. They also get plenty of attention and play time! Please note: I will have to crate them while at work. This is the ONLY time they will be crated. I will also be home around 1:30 for lunch to take your pet out for a potty break.
About: Former vet tech working in hospitals and farms, looking to have more animals in my life again, definitely the aspect that I miss the most. I’ve also had animals my whole life, trained dogs, loved cats, marveled at fish, and watched lizards hunt. Comfortable with all temperaments and comfortable giving medications if necessary. Let me know how I can help you and your friend and I’d be glad to lend a hand I’m currently working part time and taking online classes so my schedule is flexible which frees me up to drop in on your pets for feedings and enrichment. Taking dogs for walks, drives and to dog parks are all on the menu. Will always leave your pet tired and happy. Can turn on soothing dog music when I go or take a frozen kong out of the fridge to keep them busy until you get back. My dog has separation anxiety so no request is too much to ensure a happy stay while you’re away
“Thank you Audrey! You are the best. Taina liked you very much, we felt very comfortable having you pick her up and spend time with her while we were out. It was a pleasure meeting you. You have a great personality, very responsible and kind. Thank you once again and we hope to count with your services in the future. Have a great summer time!! Sincerely, The Maldonado Family!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
